Went above and beyond to make not only a good working install, but also a neat one. Scheduled prompt follow up to resolve some issues from day of install without prompting from me. Very hapy with installation.

From start to finish our experience with Solargain was very good. The range of products was extensive and cover a wide range from the cheaper but still good quality systems to the top of the range. We received plenty of information on all products to help us decide and estimates of the savings with just the panels and with the panels and battery. The installation went ahead with no problems and the crew were very friendly and informative.
After some initial back and forth, which delayed installation date, we arrived at a good solution for our needs.

If we could give zero stars, we would but the one star would be for the installers only. FYI - our review is in relation to replacement solar panels only. Our previous panels were 10 years old plus our FIT was about to finish (we are in WA) so we decided to invest in new & more efficient panels – giving ourselves 3 months to organise. We obtained several quotes – two companies took the time to come to our home to assess the situation however, the Solargain representative said he didn’t need to as he had a view of our roof from a drone photo. As they were all quite similar cost wise, we then researched the actual panels on offer & Solargain’s were actually considered the best. So we arranged for their assessor to come to our home to check the roof to confirm the number we could have. He climbed on our roof, looked around & said we could have 2 less than originally quoted but we were happy with that. Contract signed with arrangements in writing to request all to happen on the week our FIT ceased or so we thought. A new power bill showed that our meter had been changed early in preparation for the new panels hence FIT stopped 5-6 weeks early. Phone call to our original sales person was a waste of time. He placed the blame on everyone bar himself but being summer, our FIT was very good – nearly $200 per account. When advised this could not be reversed, we requested some form of compensation however, his reply was ‘ I have already given you discount & any more would cut into my commission!’ You can cancel the order if you like. All companies were booked up for months due to the number of customers in the same situation as us. So we requested our installation be brought forward but was told – we are too busy. We wrote to the National Sales Manager who indicated he would assist once the new panels were installed. Come installation day & old panels were removed, inverter disconnected & 2 hours later one of the installers said these panels would not fit on our roof unless we had less again which would bring us back to what we had! He was embarrassed but we have to ask how many experts does it take to get it right. In the end they offered us another panel that apparently suits our roof better so with no panels on our roof, we believed we were in a no win situation so accepted. However, did they arrange for the new panels to be delivered so that could be installed on that date? No, the installers don’t work past 1pm! So they came back after the Public Holiday Monday which held us up going away on our booked holiday. Account paid & was hoping for a quick resolution but sadly no. At no time has Solargain taken responsibility for all that has gone wrong. It was indicated that the assessor couldn’t have known the roof trusses come rafters (he climbed on our roof & to look inside was easily accessible but not requested) – odd we had no problem with our original panels. Not their fault for Synergy changing the meter box (rang them & they only need 5-6 working days to change & as we didn’t request it, we know who did!). Then the NSM said we signed the new contract – yes, we did but what were we supposed to do. Our old panels were off & disconnected. We asked for a minimal $500 compensation but initially all offers were in relation to them providing a service & we did not want to give them another cent. When they finally agreed to the $500, we were emailed a gag agreement – not allowed to mention or talk about what happened ever. For $500? Never – so our advice, if you have panels that you want to upgrade, give Solargain a wide berth.
Technician came and checked my inverter fault- cost about $320 and was nice guy but broke 10 roof tiles - if I did not have spares my ceiling would be wet and falling down.the company don’t seem to care about tile damage - I wonder how other people manage that don’t have spare tiles.😡
So easy to deal with Sheldon was awesome and 110% follow up. Instilation was perfect and very professional. I highly recommend this company. Also chose Solar gain as they are not one of these pop up solar companies that disappear when warranties kick in. Awesome job guys thank you A+.
Excellent company, a pleasure to deal with. Comprehensive service including coordinating electricians, plumbers etc for installing heat pump. Great products and service.
1.The company didn’t disclose upfront the lead time for installation, this was disclosed after the contract signing. This has material impact on decision making. It took 4 months for installation. 2. Solargain are marketing and recommending the product, the application shine link does not provide basic live generation. Hence unable to plan consumption. 3. Unable to reconcile power generation, consumption and feed.
Installers Dan Manning and offside (sorry able to remember name) where fantastic. Still to see benefits from installation. Hoping to get the full 6.6kW benefits from the system. The app fusionsolar needs work. Otherwise very happy.

The installation of the system was great. I fired lots of questions at the guys putting it up and they were happy to answer them. There was a bit of confusion surrounding the smart meter that would have been nice to get some more clarification around but apart from that a very good experience.
UPDATED COMMENT: Hi Solargain. Thank you for getting back to me. At the start of the installation of the solar panels in December 2020, the team leader/ engineer gave me the impression that Solargain can still monitor my solar panel system remotely in their office, hence I had the confidence and trust in your company for the past 6 months since installation that my panels/ system was being monitored. Isn’t it this should be your company practice for your customers as post-installation service, say for the first 6 months? ———————————————————- The inverter was not working according to the tradesmen that visited my property today 15/06/2021. The app was rubbish. Until I enquired about the app (not giving any data) only then the inverter was looked into. No one from Solargain told me beforehand that the inverter was not working though they can see it from their end in their own system. I’m disappointed, quite frankly.
Very happy with the service and installation provided by the Solargain. Originally given an install of 6 months out from the quotation due to Covid restrictions causing a back up of installations but this was brought forward by several months. Large and friendly crew of installers arrived, discussed the placement options then proceeded with the install completing within a few hours. On completion cleaned up and went through what they'd done & how it works. A few hours later I had a call from the manager to check to see if I had and issues.
The two man team who replaced our solar panels were friendly, hardworking and extremely efficient. We were impressed with the neat and final outcome. Communications with Solargain were also excellent. Phone calls and internet messaging were helpful, informative and reassuring. This was our second experience with Solargain and solar panels and once again we were delighted with this companies total approach.
Great team from Savannah helping to select the right system through to the install team who were courteous, neat and tidy and very helpful. System works like a dream and the app is very helpful for seeing what we are using and saving.
