The whole team throughout the process from start to finish has been very helpful. I recommended a friend to Solargain and he has had his system installed, I am just waiting on the friend referral reward to come ;)

Initially I was having a very good experience but when I finalised my installation with you guys I realised that there is a shadow problem on my roof which was NOT told to me by your sales agent at the start. When I asked him about it, he said yes there is a shadow problem on your roof and I factored it in our estimation of yearly output from your system. Then I asked him again by sending the copy of quote that is it really true that you have factored in the loss due to shadow? When I asked this question over email he flipped and said, no we have not, there will be additional 5% loss. Since I already finaliased the installation I did not change provider and continued with you guys. In reality, what I am getting from my plant is even lesser, so actually output is lesser than 5% loss due to shadow. This is not right and company like Solargain should have proper tools and equipment to estimate the plant output as close as possible so that customers can make the right decisions. Very bad experience on this front. You have high prices for your system, you don't negotiate the price much on the promise of quality but at the very beginning you don't give right information and service.

I have a six year old solar system installed by SolarGain. Three months ago I rang twice with a fault and they failed to respond. The fault self corrected after about two weeks. In the last week I have texted on their message system once and three days later made a follow-up phone call as the same fault has occured (main relay sticking). It is now four days since that call and I still have no response to my questions or problems. I will not be using this company again.

I had a Solargain Ground Mount 315L system with twin panels installed to replace a defunct (6-years old!) Heat Pump system. The Solargain was installed November 2020, allowing a full electricity billing period before commenting. I live in Redland City, Queensland. (1) The quoting process was quick and easy - thanks Matt. The quote was highly competitive compared to competitor's offerings for a similar solar combo, and compared favourably with a "like-for-like" heat pump. (2) The installation on the day was painless and professional and the crew were cheerful and polite and cleaned up after themselves very well. Thanks to Alex (Sparky) and Nick and Sam (installers). They did a very good job and got the job knocked over in time for the system to heat up and give us hot water the same night. (3) The water supply has been HOT. With the old heat pump, some days were noticeably hotter than others, but it was not reliable. The Solargain system gives hot water. Plenty of it. Just put your hand on the return hot water from the panels on the roof feeding the 315L storage tank, and you know it's coming back HOT. Very pleased with this aspect. I've checked the electronics only once since install, just to see the temperatures being recorded. Did I mention it's hot? We used the electric booster once in the last three months during a protracted period of rain. The booster was on for about an hour and we were back to full hot. (4) The system is silent. Seriously, you have to put your hand on the tiny water pump to determine it is running. Forget heat pump compressors kicking in. (5) The original heat pump was supposed to be an energy saving device. (We had to get rid of it because the compressor failed after only 6 years.) The Solargain HW system is saving a further 2.7kWh/day compared to previous 3-years billing cycles for the same November-to-February period. Installation of the Solargain system has dropped my off-grid energy consumption by 25-30% per day. (I also have 3kW of solar panels, installed 6 years ago by another company). The cash savings to me is about $60 in the last quarter (again compared on a like-for-like basis looking at electricity bills for the last 3 years for the same billing period). It's not earth-shattering, and the simple payback period is over 10 years. The system will certainly pay for itself over the life of the solar hot water panels and system, so I'm chuffed about that. And, hey, using less electricity to get the job done. In summary: a system at a competitive price delivering reliable hot water and delivering modest energy cost savings on a demonstrable power reduction. I would recommend a Solargain Ground Mount 315L/20 Twin Panel with electric boost as being a good thing.

I’ve had my system for approximately 4 years without any significant problems. Installation by solargain, had few issues with loss of wifi connectivity but the technical team at Solargain helped with phone advise. I have found that the Solargain team provides good after sales support.

Unfortunately, our experience was greatly let down by having a battery installed that didn't have the latest software/firmware, and with the support team at Solargain unresponsive and unable to help. There was frequent chasing up calling and emailing Solargain to find out what's going on, as our battery was not storing or discharging energy properly. We were told everything is working properly, despite the fact the battery indicator is showing no energy stored or nothing is being discharged, and the app is showing the same. We were told repeatedly, there was something wrong with the app and not to trust the data shown, and there's nothing wrong with the battery settings, and no updates are required. The tech support was making us feel like we were at the wrong for calling up. The battery was also causing frequent brown-out within the house, which the Solargain support team indicated this was due to our power supplier. This was later confirmed by Growatt to be a setting on the battery that had to be updated. But Solargain was very dismissive when the power outage issues was brought up. Once Solargain decided to give us Growatt's contact number directly, the battery issue and power outage issue was resolved almost immediately. However this process took over a month for the number to be passed onto us and for the issues to be resolved. The battery installer, Jack, was extremely helpful and was determined to help us resolve our battery issue when he was onsite twice. However there was only so much he could do. I was told by the installer that Solargain had a very knowledgeable and helpful team of tech supports. However, we were very disappointed with our support experience. We are extremely glad the issues are now resolved and hoping that we will not need to contact the support team again.

I was pleased with the professional manner in which my negotiations for the solar system was handled. The installation was completed without any difficulty and with little inconvenience to myself. I would recommend Solargain to anyone considering an installation Geoff Harris

Had issues with FRONIUS Galvo 2 had Solar gain tech come out and with assistance from Fronius seems to have rectified system. However I have LOST a lot in rebates because of this issue and requested restitution of such and was told QUOTE"Just emailing in response to your recent txt RE the lost rebates you would like to claim from us. I have reviewed your portal and the technicians notes and due to this being a manufacturer fault rather than an error of Solargain or the overall installation of the system, we would at this stage not be compensating for the loss of rebates. You are most welcome to contact Fronius directly on 03 8340 2910 and seek reimbursement from them directly if you wish and this will be up to their discretion. So literally NOT our PROBLEM see the manufacturer WHOM I Quote also: Dear Peter, Thank you for contacting Fronius Australia regarding compensation for low production of your solar system. Unfortunately, we don't have enough proof that Fronius Galvo 2.0-1 inverter was faulty to cause the low production of your solar system. When the case was first created, there was no issue documented against the inverter and suggested the installation company to check the cable connections. Apparently, the system started started working fine as there is no further conversation documented in our system. The system's production can vary every year depending upon various factors and kindly remember not just with inverter. Moreover, Fronius recommends the end customers to reach out the solar installation company as first point of contact for immediate response. As mentioned on the call, kindly advise the installation company to contact us regarding this issue to get more technical information to make sure, why is this inverter fault? So as Everyone can see THERE is NO CARE from EITHER LEFT HOLDING THE COST of using FRONIUS PRODUCTS and USING SOLARGAIN. And I would also like to say NO emails OR phone messages were responded to via their Customer Liaison Rep. Reply from solar gain Quote" Hi Peter, The responsibility is on customers to monitor their systems and make contact with us if there are any faults. As part of our compensation claims terms and conditions we have 10 business days to get a customer’s system up and running and anything after that the customer is eligible for compensation. You had notified us on the 29th October of the issue with the system and we came out on the 9th November and with the help of fronius support the system was rectified. Given this we had rectified your system within 7 business days, so as previously stated Solargain will not be paying compensation." So as stated in my review CUSTOMERS are in the wrong by these companies. ONCE AGAIN A WARN ALL CUSTOMERS TO CHECK THEIR SYSTEM FOR THE FAULTS . As Fronius and Solar gain will not fairly accept any issues with products and if there is software issues in the life of system IT IS NOT the CUSTOMERS fault! Installers/manufactures SHOULD notify and rectify all systems sold, WHEN software is released not when customers complain.

From the time that I phoned to enquire about installing the solar panels to actually being installed I was informed all the way through all procedures, times and dates. I had nothing to worry about nor have second thoughts on my decision to go with Solargain, which was recommended by the Clean Energy Council approved Solar Retailer.

Having previously had Solargain install our first system, I had no hesitation in contacting them again for an upgraded system and as like the first one they were excellent every way. The installers were a pleasure to have here and even repaired some tiles we were unaware were cracked. I would have no hesitation in recommending Solargain to anyone. Office personnel are also helpful and efficient when attending to any queries.
