In 2001, a customer named Jen was building her dream home in southern Michigan and wanted a beautiful stairway. She could see what she wanted in her mind, but the stair parts she wanted were not available through normal outlets. She wanted unique iron balusters with custom box newels. Had some trouble setting the shipping during checkout and was pleased with the help I got from Brandon R on the phone. The customer service experience was FAST and accurate. Confirming an online order over the phone with a real time update on the purchase order was impressive. I will not be purchasing cable railing components anywhere else in the foreseeable future.

Great service and product with reasonable pricing. Our finished deck with the stainless steel cable, guard rail receives endless favorable comments from visiting friends and neighbors.

Got the wrong shoes delivered with the newels which may have been my fault when i ordered, but the person who took my order over the phone should have picked up on that. Other than that Adria was great to work with and very patient with all my questions. The order shipped several weeks later than originally estimated, but that type of delay is building industry wide right now. Looking forward to enjoying the finished product.

Jun 02,2021They can custom make any size stair treads . I had them make mine out of hardwood maple. They turned out great and look fantastic. Would recommend Stair Supplies to anyone needing stair parts.

Jun 01,2021Company does not return phone calls, even when you set up an appointment for a return call. Company does not take any returns, even of something simple to return, like unused stair brackets (in perfect new condition, unused, in original packaging) . These brackets are costly, not custom, brand new, and easy to return. I will PAY FOR THE RETURN SHIPPING. They say NO RETURNS, your order is "custom". Nothing "custom" about my order, - you can order just what I ordered, every day, any time. POOR SERVICE, and VERY MISLEADING.

Apr 27,2021Trying order through the website to place a large order can be glitchy. I recommend calling and talking to a sales rep. Products, when you receive the correct ones, are as described. Descent quality. There can be flaws with the iron balusters which can lead to the shoes not fitting properly. Some may be chipped. 10% of my overall order had small flaws. You can adjust with a file and spray paint. When adding additional items, twice the company sent the wrong baluster shoes. Getting a hold of someone and getting them replaced isn't easy.

Apr 23,2021I was very disappointed with this product. We ordered the Stainless Steel-Interior or Exterior metal railing. The pieces do not fit together smoothly and scratch your hands when rubbed against. The installation was a problem. We had to order an additional gripping tool, which was very pricey, and did not work to correct the problem, as the wire was too narrow for the gripping tool to hold. They would not allow us to return the product when we advised them of the problem. We eventually had to purchase tools outside of this company to install the rail properly. We were given very little customer support. I would not recommend this product or company.

Apr 20,2021I bought the cast iron blasters qty 72 and used 26 of them so far. 4 of the pcs the set screw will not tighten. Bad threads. Other then that it was received as described.

Apr 20,2021The Viewrail product is outstanding and the Stair Supplies Customer Service was incredible. I purchased the railing system last fall and was finally able to install it this spring. I realized I needed more hardware than I ordered and contacted customer service. They responded within an hour to confirm what I needed and then sent a quote within minutes. The parts arrived two days later.

Parts were back ordered which caused slight delay but the communication on status was proactive which allowed me to coordinate with my contractor. Would highly recommend the site and would not hesitate to use them again for a future project
