In 2001, a customer named Jen was building her dream home in southern Michigan and wanted a beautiful stairway. She could see what she wanted in her mind, but the stair parts she wanted were not available through normal outlets. She wanted unique iron balusters with custom box newels. Len thought he could meet her needs, and StairSupplies was born.

We had a very good experience purchasing wrought iron balusters for our new staircase. We were able to go online, locate the balusters, create a baluster design utilizing their design program, and make the purchase. We received the balusters on time and in excellent condition. Any questions that we had prior to our purchase were quickly answered. I would highly recommend stairsupplies.com

So far everything that has been delivered has either been wrong or damaged. I have not received confirmation that the missing items will be replaced nor have I received any feedback on how the incorrect items will handled. Horrible fulfillment and customer experience so far. My installation had to be pushed back a month because of backorders/delays (which I understood at the time) and now I am looking at having to start from scratch. There is literally NOTHING in this order will allow us to get started. Wishing I would have gone to a local retailer at this point.

The cable rail kit came much faster than expected even though we had a custom order. The installation guide was excellent. The final product looks awesome!

I just placed my order with a design consultant McKenna Salinas who was an absolute delight to work with! So far, this is a review on customer service which from my experience has been superb. McKenna just took my measurements and some pics and was able to come up with multiple design options for me within a day. She was so patient as I changed finishes, metals, and plans constantly. She even worked after hours to get me the adjusted quotes as soon as possible. We went through their warranty and policy line by line, and she was very knowledgeable about the product lines. This was the easiest process in my house renovation by far! I am very excited to receive my new balcony 💕

Ordered handrails, Newell, iron balusters, accessories Dec 3rd. Still waiting on $1,700 order. Told that 3 weeks is normal delivery. They have my money, no product yet. Today is Jan. 19.

Overall, the product is amazing and we couldn’t be happier! The modern look has enhanced our new home more than I initially expected it to, and the rails are more secure than I would have thought. We experienced a few hiccups along the way (improper measurements, incorrect post map, and a missing bracket) which slowed our project a bit but the customer service we were provided couldn’t have been better. Viewrail staff was in constant communication with us, and was quick to address/mitigate the issues when they arose. They corrected the errors and made things right, which we appreciated more than they could know. You will not regret investing in this product/company!

I ordered spindles and caps for my stairway and they are beautiful! They arrived when promised. I ordered too many caps and after my job was done wanted to send them back and was told returns must be made within 7 days. For a company that sells building supplies this just seems unreasonable to me.

Absolutely first rate. The customer service provided by McKenna Salinas was consistently prompt and efficient. All correspondence took place within an hour or less of contact, even on a holiday weekend. The product is extremely high quality, with the final product looking incredible. Shipment came complete with a detailed installation instruction manual, and the accompanying YouTube links added a great supplement to the reading. Any relatively handy homeowner with average skill willing to put in the reading and viewing effort would be able to successfully install the product. Highly recommended!

While I'm incredibly happy with the cable railing product and service from StairSupplies, I've had some apparently unexpected trouble on installation that I'd think should have been foreseen. Setting the cable tensions as required by local code, I've had the tensioners seize up and the cables twist. It may require replacing all the cabling (since cutting out the damaged threaded ends shortens the cable), which StairSupply offered and is supplying the parts for free. I'll use anti-seize on the threads and mating surfaces when I reinstall the cables, but I'd think that would be part of the standard install instructions.

I am very pleased. I had 5 different sections of railing I did. Trevor who actually works in glass did an outstanding job taking my drawings and putting the order together. He worked with me on pricing as it was a large investment for my wife and I. Do to the nature of my order it took a long time to put together. I am almost complete and we only had one minor glitch of connectors missing and at no charge Stair Supplies next day aired them to me. It is beautiful, well made, and easy to put together. I will send pictures when complete.
