After waiting for so long to have a new smart meter in stalled I have finally had a lovely guy call Chris Wemyss install it today , what another gutter said he couldn’t do the job Chris had no problems what so ever .
Michael Normington was very polite and arrived on time. It was a complicated job as the meter boxes were quite small and cramped but he managed to fit everything nicely.

I found Michael normington to be an excellent engineer, sorting my long term problem without an hr. He was the perfect gentleman, had time for week and didn’t leave in up the problem was resolved. He went above and beyond. Even brought my wheelie in back up the driveway. Can’t commend him enough

The guy who came to change the meters, Michael Normington, arrived on time and explained what was going to happen. He changed both Gas and Electric meters, he was very efficient and tidy. First class.
We had Fiona Lynch attend today to do a new smart meter install for gas and electric. Apartment with shared supplies so not the easiest but Fiona was calm practical and managed to get everything done in one visit. Much appreciated.
Chiz, our Providor engineer arrived at his pre-arranged appointment time and introduced himself. He was pleasant and polite and set to work after giving us a brief idea of what he would be doing. He prompted us as to when the electricity was going to be turned off and for approximately how long. The entire appointment lasted between 2 and 2.5 hours (both smart electricity and gas meters were being installed due to a fault on our original 20 year old electricity meter had stopped it from working). After completing the installation Chiz advised us that he had recommended upgrading a small section of our gas pipe from lead to copper as this was safer and in line with current regs. He proceeded to run through the options for our in home display or Octopus in home mini which would allow us to access our readings on our phones and then through a number of short videos explaining some very useful energy saving tips that would potentially save us money in the longer term. After answering a few of our questions and checking that we were happy with the installation the install was complete and Chiz left. The entire install was painless and with minimal disruption. The work was completed to a high standard and the work area left clean and tidy. We had heard various horror stories regarding smart meter installs but have to say, based on our experience, we were and are still more than happy. Good customer service from Octopus and Providor and a conscientious and polite engineer. Thanks Chiz
Excellent service provided by engineer John Walker, from the first phone call to confirm the location and to get directions, to the completed Installation which was not straight forward, taking the time to explain everything to my mother before leaving. A very professional tradesman.
The engineer Kieran was a lovely guy. Very neat work and very tidy as cleaned up afterwards. Explained how to use the ihd and energy saving tips. Happy with job completed
Smart meter installation by the engineer Michael Normington was excellent, the best I have experienced for any home service/utility. Contact made the day before to confirm arrangements. Excellent explanation of changes in services. Could not have asked for a better engineer. Meter switch went like a dream.

The service i received was excellent, he contacted me via text the evening before to confirm the time he was expected to arrive. After the meters were installed, Michael gave a comprehensive overview of the IHD and expertly answered any questions that I had.
