Apr 01,2024Michael Normington was the Scottish Power engineer who attended my appointment to fit the smart meters. He was very friendly and pleasant and explained everything in layman's terms. The appointment went very smoothly and Michael even cleared up after himself. The only criticism I have is that Scottish Power sent several text messages and call reminders when only one would have been sufficient.

Apr 01,2024Recent work carried out by Chiz engineer The engineer Chiz, only received the call late but arrived as soon as possible. He rang ahead to tell me how long he would be. He was very polite and worked quickly and efficiently. He explained all the safety checks he carried out and made sure everything was working before he left. Chiz was very professional and very easy to get along with. He replaced the meter explaining what type of meter it was and I was very pleased when my gas was working again. Chiz left all the appropriate paperwork and contact numbers for future reference.

Mar 29,2024Chris Wemyss was excellent. He arrived on time introduced himself and explained clearly what was to happen. He made sure all appliances were switched off, checked the circuit before proceeding. The new meters were fitted very quickly and without any problem. He explained how to use the meters should there be any problems and provided me with the booklet. Chris ensured all appliances and systems were working fully before he left. Very happy with how things went.

Mar 29,2024Raja Miah came to my home today to sort out a problem I have had with my meters for 3 months and the energy company edf. My expectations were low for getting this sorted. Raja did the opposite of my expectations. Not only did he fix the problem, he liaised with edf and didn't give up when they were giving him fluff on the phone. He was polite and professional at all times and was a genuinely a nice young man. I could not be more grateful to him. He honestly was our saviour.

Mar 27,2024Just had an electricity smart meter installed by Warren Wright. He took the time to explain what he’d be doing, gave me the opportunity to prepare for the power going off, even checking if i wanted to boil a kettle first. He was at all times courteous, informative, efficient and respectful of the property, and answered all my old man questions with patience. He was in and out well within the hour I’d been told to put aside for the meter swap. Thank you for making it easy.

Mar 26,2024Octopus energy arranged for Providor to fix the issue with my smart meter. Liam the engineer, contacted me the night before to let me know what vehicle etc he would be driving. On arrival Liam was very polite, informative and professional and carried out the necessary repair to my smart meter. I Cannot fault Liam in any aspect and am grateful for the time he took to explain the smart meter etc and what the issue was.

Apr 02,2024Charlie was amazing. We have been begging octopus for a smart meter since the middle of last year. We were told they couldn’t fit us in when an engineer was at our neighbours but were promised we would be on the list for the next visit. We were never contacted. When my neighbour informed me that she had been given an appointment for March to have hers looks at as it had never worked we again contacted octopus…. 6 times by phone, 4 emails. They would not give us an appointment even though we live on an island and clearly engineers only visit about twice a year. We even opened a complaint but still no appointment. Charlie went to my neighbours and fixed her smart meter and she explained to him the issues we were having. He rang himself asked for the job to be raised and issued to him as he had time to install ours before his return overnight ferry. Absolutely wonderful man. So helpful and managed to achieve what we had not in 9 months of trying. He was friendly, efficient, tidy and we can’t thank him enough, without him I don’t think we would have ever got octopus to give us an appointment. We are thrilled and can’t recommend Charlie enough, talk about going above and beyond. What a credit to the company and such a hardworking, kind man. He had finished the jobs he was sent here to do and could have just took the rest of the day off before his ferry home but he chose to help us. Thanks so much Charlie.
