Jun 18,2024Savannah was very helpful in helping me resolve my issue with the IRS. Though I was not happy with the end result which is not her fault she did explain that social security sometimes does not directly send 1099's and you must look for the information online. I only wish I had known that before I filed my taxes. But now with the correct information at hand I have time to amend my 2023 taxes before being penalized by the IRS. I do feel though that Turbo Tax should be more clear in warning people on social security to be aware of this while preparing their taxes.

Jun 08,2024Well, you get what you pay for. I should have known I was throwing away $60 for “Audit Defense” of my 2021 business tax return. When I recently received an “audit by mail” from the IRS regarding a discrepancy between my 941 quarterly reports and my business tax return, I contacted TaxAudit.com to see if they could help. After setting up my online account, uploading the relevant documents, my driver’s license, photo, etc., I received a voice message from my case coordinator, who spoke so quickly I could barely decipher what he was saying. I was told my IRS audit was actually a “payroll issue” and that Audit Defense does “not cover payroll issues of business.” He advised me I could just “simply follow the instructions of the (IRS) letter.” Such great advice! The IRS still sees this as a tax return issue. Why was I sold Audit Defense for my business tax return if TaxAudit.com does not handle business tax return audits? My advice - save your $60 for a good bottle of something you’ll want after being left to solve your own audit problems yourself!

Jun 06,2024Not helpful. I scheduled an appointment via their portal to speak with a tax professional who never called at the allotted time. I reached out and left a voicemail to the professional as well as a message via the portal. I also reached out to the case coordinator for assistance who also did not answer. When I reached out to the customer service line, they gave me the run around. I was transferred 3 times and no one was able to help. The final "supervisor" was rude and extremely unhelpful. Given these tax situations are time sensitive, DO NOT waste your time with these clowns.
