Feb 20,2023TaxAudit is one of those services you pay for (mostly out of fear) and hope you'll never need. Well that day came for us in April 2022 when the IRS sent us a bill for over $3,000 for our 2020 federal return. I figured for all the years I paid for TaxAudit and didn't need it, I should have them at least look at it. As it turns out, it was worth every penny I ever paid, because our representative Sheila found an error in the return that ended up getting us an $855 refund from the IRS! Even if your experience doesn't get you that kind of satisfaction, it was worth it knowing that TaxAudit would handle everything. All I had to do was send over the return in question and all supporting documents and Sheila took care of all of it. It took almost a year, but she was patient and diligent and other than worrying about it, I didn't have to do anything. For your peace of mind if nothing else, I recommend TaxAudit to anyone who files their own taxes using TurboTax.

I reached out for assistance and my accountant, Eric Erhardt. walked me through and represented me through a long process. The end result is I owe no taxes! I would not have been able to accomplish this outcome on my own. I really appreciate the assistance and guidance I received.

Keith Bong was not helpful . he did not try to help me by give me a solution with my problem. in the beginning he ask me to send information to proof that the dependent i had claim in my tax leave with me. i sent him everything he ask for. when the IRS send me his answer that he is not confidence with the information he received. then the Mr. Keith bong called me and said is it worth the hassle with the IRS over $500. I was shocked i did not know how to respond to him. then i asked him is it possible to ask the IRS to remove the penalty he said no. then i called the IRS myself and asked them the same question the customer service told me you can send request to us, and we will remove it.

Feb 11,2023I didn’t realize the first person I was talking to was a gate to get to the actual tax professional. So I felt like I was wasting time going round and round with that person. When the tax professional actually called me hours late from the appointment that was agreed-upon, she failed to tell me I need to amend my state return, but called me back something like 10 days later to tell me, she remembered.

Feb 05,2023I have been Audited for 2018, 2019, & 2020 for my state. For the 2018 & 2019 Audit I was assigned a worker to handle everything. From the beginning of the Audit, I was not impressed with the timeliness of the correspondence. Once things progressed and they submitted everything, I received a response from the state that they were not accepting all of the things I had submitted and that I owed far more money than I had thought. I reached back out to the Auditor and to make a long story short, she did not respond, we missed the deadline and I was out all of that money. Even the supervisor apologized for the lack of follow up, but I was still screwed. I am sure they did not send all that they were supposed to and I wish I had checked because... Then I get audited again and once again I reach out. The Taxaudit person contacted me and I sent the power of attorney to them over a week before I was supposed to show up. She spoke to me three hours AFTER I was supposed to have been in the tax office with the state to let me know she had done nothing yet and I had to inform her of the date even though it was on the letter...so my date/time was missed...looks great on me...and was highlighted in the future letter from the state. I submitted all that was asked of me and then they submitted to the state. I then get a letter back from the state that they were not accepting a LARGE amount of our deductions. I decided to investigate only to find out that over 40 pages of receipts/paperwork I sent to them, was NOT sent to the state. I was also told 5-6 times that they do not handle any appeals at this point.....even though everything Turbotax says they do. This is NEGLIGENCE and incompetence once again. I spoke with the supervisor and even she was appalled at the mishandling of this. I am currently waiting to hear back but have also contacted an attorney as they have not come close to doing what they are supposed to do. How does a TurboTax company mishandle that much paperwork. This is absolute negligence and it has definitely not been worth paying for this product as it has cost me thousands more plus the stress, anxiety, and other things. RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE: I am rejecting this response because: Although the response is partially accurate.. it is not the full story and let me paint the picture of what happened, so that when I use the term negligence, It is an accurate assessment.. meaning. 1. Yes...they are continuing to work on the 2020 audit that they clearly neglected and I had to follow up with and investigate to find their errors and the documents they received but did not send. Was told by their "Tax Professional" that anything moving forward as an appeal, they would not handle, although that was corrected by resource manager. 2. For the 2018, 2019, under the advice of their "tax professional" I did pay the fines to close out the audit. After this was done, I was then told that I would also have to pay the IRS, which should have been shared before by the "tax professional." I should have looked everything over and not just trusted their "tax professionals". I just assumed and trusted that Intuit/Turbo Tax who specializes in all things financial, would handle this as you would expect an accountant and financial institution to do. That is definitely not the case for any of the three years of audits. Regardless of the time frame in which I got back to them in for appeal with the 2018/2019, I responded and sent documents to them on 5/10/22, I did not hear ANYTHING from them until 9/2/22 and that was from the resource manager trying to close out the case. I had reached out several times after 5/10/22 on 5/17/22 & 6/2/22 as well and ZERO RESPONSE OR ACTION for almost 4 months, so obviously any sort of deadline had long since passed. As I have looked more into the 2018, 2019 filings, there were documents left out of 2018 that I clearly sent. I am still looking into 2019 and comparing. For 2018 & 2019 I did send many documents in before any "final Deadline" and received no response or action, costing me thousands of dollars. I appreciate that the resource manager was honest enough to own the many mistakes, even via email, and has been kind and forthcoming. Also the person who responds to the BBB and other organizations that handle reviews and situations has been very nice and kind. I truly do appreciate that they are looking into all of this but the reality is that I have been audited and it has been handled by two different "tax professionals." Both of them have been 100% negligent in handling my audit and I imagine that I am not the only person out there. It has cost me money and more importantly lots of my time to follow up with this and help them do their job.
