Jun 27,2021Excellent workshop yesterday with Sharon Lawton at The Coaching Academy! Sharon's method of delivery is very easy to receive. Her energy, warmth and enthusiasm is infectious which makes for great engagement and an enjoyable learning environment. This is well balanced with creating a safe space that encourages open and honest discussion to share our learnings. In preparation for the workshop, we were emailed the relevant training material and completed our own DISC profile, all of which was used during our workshop as we put our new skills into practice. After the workshop, there is a short exam to complete to become accredited. Should have my result in a few days so fingers crossed. Really excited to now build on these skills and practice practice practice. Thank you Sharon and TCA team - I thoroughly enjoy learning with you all!

Jun 27,2021The course was promoted as being run by Dave (the master trainer) and Sharon. I booked it on this basis because Dave is an incredible trainer I've worked with before. He wasn't involved in any of the sessions which was the first let down. The first session is a VERY elementary DISC recap...for two hours...in the evening! Appreciate that may be useful if you're new to it all, sadly a waste of time if your are not. Spent 10 mins in silence doing a basic test which took 2mins at the most. Surely this would be better posted as a pre-work exercise?! The second day was much better. However a few questions were asked out with the basics of what we were learning and these were not answered willing or adequately, pretty disappointing. The delivery style of the trainer was also sadly a let down. Expect all the cringe corporate buzz phrases 'deep dive...circle back...rich feedback'. Not authentic or relational which means you will learn the syllabus but don't expect to be inspired. Sharon was also readily distracted by the chat box which made for a staccato flow. Essentially, if you are looking for a basic level of knowledge of the graphs and don't expect much else then this one is for you.

Jun 26,2021I attended the DISC Accreditation training online and having enjoyed the face to face training was delighted to find this to be really useful and delivered in a compelling way. The trainer took care to answer everyone's questions which was appreciated.

Jun 15,2021Excellent workshop - helpful structure to the huge field of wellness and lots of practical tools and approaches to apply with clients. Bubbly, knowledgeable and interesting trainer, sharing concepts and contents with lots of examples from personal practice. Great balance of different teaching approaches, and quite interactive, even on zoom. I'm taking one star off, as the content was not new / repetitive in the beginning, for those of us who are trained coaches with the Coaching Academy, and it seemed to take a while to get into the wellbeing coaching proper. Otherwise an excellent course which I much enjoyed!

Jun 14,2021I found the wellbeing niche coaching an incredibly comprehensive set of tools, really well-explained by Sharon and there were plenty of opportunities throughout the day to brainstorm with other coaches how to incorporate the new knowledge into our coaching practices, as well as share expertise between peers.

Jun 14,2021I attended TCA’s online Wellbeing Niche Coaching Workshop on 12/06/21. The facilitator Sharon Lawton was knowledgeable & shared great information & strategies for helping clients with their wellbeing needs. The programme supported my visual & other learning style. I enjoyed the breakout groups & there were enough ‘comfort breaks’. The handout contained tips, tools & takeaways to use in my wellbeing coaching practice. This 1-day workshop was full of learning ‘Windows’ & Sharon’s professional & relaxed manner made this a worthwhile CPD opportunity. I’m pleased I attended & know my clients & I will benefit from this workshop. Thanks Sharon & TCA! Haneefah (PPD Graduate)

May 28,2021"They want you to learn how to coach" was what a friend of mine told me when she recommended The Coaching Academy as trainer provider. I now can say the same from my own experience. The Personal Performance Diploma for coaches is designed in a way that you are pushed in coaching people from the start. There is a lot of support from the teachers and the community. A lot of networking and materials available. If you want to be sure that you will start coaching and not just get a qualification and then seat back where you started from, this is certainly a good choice. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is that I found the written materials slightly substandard. They obviously rely mainly on the many webinars and direct interaction with assessors, support and mentoring, which is really great stuff. However, I hope that one day soon, the written material and handouts of the modules are revised and upgrded. Then the 5th star would be wholeheartedly granted! M

May 28,2021I am fairly new to commencing my Diploma and I have to say it was exactly what I was looking for and I really feel like I have found my way forward and my new career path. The academy are engaging, motivating and inspiring in the way that the learning is provided. It is very progressive and supportive along the way - albeit even when this is fully virtual. There are mechanisms to link in with all other students at all varied stages and this is invaluable - and the on-line accelerator main training days are robust, holistic with outlining all the steps to becoming a coach and all the skills you require alongside enabling you early to embark on becoming a coach as you learn. I couldnt have asked for a better few months and I am really excited to continue going forward and growing with confidence as a coach and qualifying - I have all the confidence that I will succeed and be the best coach as a result of the learning provided. Thank you!

May 28,2021The content delivered in the live and recorded training is excellent, however I think much of it could be delivered in less time (Accelerator Days in particular). The staff are professional, expert and very approachable and when feedback is given, it is done so in a constructive and empowering way. The online portal has lots of very useful information although it takes a long time to find it all, as the site is tricky to navigate. I would have benefitted from and enjoyed being part of a cohort who all followed the programme at the same time, rather than everyone joining and completing at their own pace, but recognise that this is very personal.
