Mar 13,2021I recently attended the relationship niche coaching workshop. It was very well presented and the structure of the session was good however I was a little disappointed that it really didn't seem to cover what I would define as 'relationship coaching'. It was too generic and focused more on the relationship with our 'self'. Whilst this is really important, there was nothing about the typical problems that occur in relationships and how to coach people in those problems. The one part which was most useful was something I was already familiar with. Whilst the presenter was very good I think it would have been better if it had been presented by an actual relationship coach rather than a life/business coach. I was hoping to learn about what sort of issues regularly come up in relationship problems and how to support clients to solve them. I suspect it was my misunderstanding of what the workshop would involve but it was a bit disappointing based on the title of the workshop.

Mar 13,2021Greatly enjoyed the training today. The trainer was extremely knowledgeable about the subject and the entire day felt one where you could safely explore, develop and grow and leave with increased coaching skills.

Mar 11,2021The Coaching Academy was a great place to meet like-minded people, all with a purpose of helping one another across communities. I have made friends for life through TCA, which considering half my diploma was virtual due to the pandemic is a testament to the great community they have built over time. Graduating from TCA with my PPD has catapulted me to start my own career coaching business and immediately use these skills in my Learning & Development role too.

Mar 06,2021My journey with The Coaching Academy (so far) I've been with TCA since June 2020 and have nothing but praise for every part of this experience - you really do get out what you put into the journey and it's so rewarding! As well as the PPD I have taken part in the following additional courses: - DISC Accreditation - this was fantastic, I would absolutely recommend every take on this course once they have completed Intro to DISC, it has made me not only a better coach but a better friend and colleague but I have so much more knowledge and understanding about personality types. - NLP Taster - I didn't want this session to end, I don't have capacity to do another diploma at the moment but have this on my list! - Anxiety Coaching Masterclass - another session that just didn't feel long enough, I picked some so many wonderful resources to use with my clients and in my personal life. - Addictive Behaviours Coaching - I will treasure this experience forever, I learnt so much about myself about my impact on the world and just how powerful my coaching practice will be. Kate and Mandy are just a joy to be around and are so generous with what they shared and continue to share with us. My whole experience with The Coaching Academy has been a life changing one and I'm so proud to be a student pursue a long wondered about passion! If you're on the fence, take the leap it'll be worth it a million times over!

Kate and Mandy are inspiring, engaging and incredibly charismatic presenters whose friendship brings warmth and dynamism to the experience. They have created a highly stimulating course, delivering complex material in incredibly effective accessible ways, with plenty of practical advise and tips demonstrating profound knowledge, and connection to their subject. Feb 26,2021Taking part in this course with Kate and Mandy was a whirlwind of an experience, exciting and enjoyable and one that I would definitely recommend to others. It is a very up and coming area of research they have launched themselves into. Their openness in regards to their own experiences makes it easy to connect with them and the content very real. The course was packed with up-to-date relevant information. It was well-structured and the power point slides and worksheet packs made it accessible for me, a visual learner. It was a good combination between theory and practical short application of the material through the use of break out rooms and discussion via chat or shared screen. They work really well together the two course presenters, making it fun, authentic and very engaging. It was money well-spent. Now I have to get started re-reading all the material and notes to come up with my own personal 6 week plan and to pass the course. However, I feel confident and committed. Julia

Sharon herself is a really engaging trainer and has a great energy about her! There was a really nice balance of knowledge input from the trainer, interactive activities in break out rooms and polls etc Thank you!!

Feb 15,2021I have just finished the training part of the Addictive Behaviours Coaching course and I cannot put into words how informative, supportive and enriching this training is. Kate and Mandy provided us with so much practical, scientific and holistic information and resources, and their teaching/mentoring style is so supportive and empowering. Not to mention the fact that I’ve come away with a new group of colleagues and friends (the group itself consisted of 12 of us plus Kate and Mandy, so we got to know each other really well and everyone brought different strengths and experiences to the table). I would recommend this course to anyone even remotely interested in this area. I have come away full of excitement for my future coaching, and I am already using some of the tools and practices we learnt in my own life. There aren’t enough stars available to review just how good this course is!

Feb 05,2021I was very excited to join and start my coaching path with the coaching academy. The 'work at your own pace' was attractive to me as it would fit with other activities and plans. Unfortunately, the engagement I had from the recruitment team was not the same engagement after. Pretty much all the contact has been me approaching them, and not once the other way around (in contrast to how many times they contacted me before payment). In the two-day introduction it appeared that you could complete the course between 6-18 months; but while I tried working at my pace, I found nothing but delays and barriers from their side. They control how frequent and far apart your tutor meetings, and practical assessments are. They also criticised that I attended the coaching skills webinars, and the peer-to-peer webinars 'close together' and they said I was meant to attend them few weeks apart or even months. Having a tutor sounded like a great idea to have good critical conversations with an experienced coach; unfortunately, the 'tutors' are a 'check-in' tool to ask a couple of questions and it is difficult to have the same tutor; so there's no continuity in someone understanding your process and no-one that would care if you are progressing or not. Pretty much, happy you paid good luck with your life. As it has said in other posts I realised that the coaching skills that they teach and encourage lack throughout; there is no listening or understanding from their side. Note that The Coaching Academy teaches GROW model, and everything outside that is WRONG and in their eyes 'it's not coaching'; no critical thinking or open to discussion to become the true coach that you could be. Things that were highlighted to me in an assignment as things 'I should do' were later considered 'inappropriate' in other sessions. I had one of the assessments with a fellow coach (qualified from a different institution with equivalent recognition in another European country as TCA) and they found that the assessment was harsh and to some extent unfair. My experience coaching other people was great, I like applying some things from the GROW model as they are some very good and rich tools there. As I completed all my coaching practice I noticed that people preferred when I didn't follow GROW to the dot as TCA expects you too, they felt my natural approach was better than sticking to 'timings and agenda'. Unfortunately as I had planed and tried finishing within 9-12 months with all the difficulties I found I haven't managed and when I was having the best practice/experience in coaching I couldn't do the assessments. I literally stopped several months ago and no-one contacted me to see what was going on or how they could support me; I am now out of practice and might find it difficult to finish their programme and not even sure if they will support me to do so (especially after this review). So just be aware of where you invest your money, there are a lot of people that really enjoy their journey with TCA; but there are also a lot of people like me that 'struggle' but perhaps TCA is not so keen on getting feedback from their students as I haven't been given many (if any apart from after the 2-day pre-course) opportunities to give my feedback unless I directly contact them with issues/concerns.

Jan 05,2021I came across The Coaching Academy while researching coaching diploma. I was not sure if this was what I wanted to do so I signed up to the free webinar and found it really interesting and useful. The Coaching Academy got in touch and we discussed all the options that were available. The finance was a big issue for me and I found they respected my situation and tried to make suggestions to help. They were not pushy and left it with to come back to them. Once I decided to go ahead the registration process was so easy and i am now so excited to start my journey into coaching.

Dec 22,2020I recently qualified with the Coaching Academy and have only positive words to say about the whole experience. When I began it was the old world of accelerator days @ Latimer Place and about half way through it became Covid driven, with everything online. Obviously its great to speak to people in the flesh and have human interaction, but I actually preferred the online accelerator days and they felt far more beneficial to my development as a coach. Everything moving online has also opened up a far bigger potential customer base as I launch my business.

The trainers were very engaging, open and resourceful. I enjoyed the variety of the content, some theory, engaging tools and practical guidance. A highlight was the use of breakout rooms to practice our skills, with our fellow students. Overall, very helpful, engaging and practical. Thank you

Mar 21,2021I am so grateful for the opportunities I had through studying with The Coaching Academy - the amazing trainers, connecting with fellow students, developing my coaching skills to support others - and of course the deepening understanding of my own mind! Since graduating, I have focussed fully on developing my coaching business where I now use my skills to support people in a number of ways. I am proud to be supporting school leaders to feel calm and confident in very demanding roles, as well as empower individuals to walk their own paths in life by making confident choices that feel good to them. I am now excited to be expanding my skillset further as I undertake my NLP Practitioner training with The Coaching Academy.
