Constant problems with IT, week trying to register for Tonik Space,once resolved still unable to use Tonik Space to leave meter readings. Despite many phone calls and help messages.

I am not sure where the good reviews are coming from but I would recommend that if you are considering switching to Tonik - DON'T! As I have stated previously we have had problems since January including no statements and now we have decided to switch as we hoped this would prompt them into action . Unfortunately they are stalling so our complaint has been escalated to the Ombudsman

I'd been with Tonik previously and was perfectly happy. I rejoined this year and, my God, what a mess! Similar experience to the other reviewers. Didn't switch my gas. Wouldn't accept my meter readings. Didn't provide any bills. After 3 months of this farce I cancelled my direct debit to stop them taking any more of my money and switched to EOn. After two emails to the CEO (who did respond and was helpful) I finally managed to get my money back. I doubt they will be around for much longer at this rate. Sounds things are not going well backstage. Avoid unless you enjoy waiting on hold for ages and repeating yourself ad nauseam to well-intentioned but poorly trained customer service agents.

We are very pleased with Tonik energy very easy to contact the staff are friendly and the Tariffs are very competitive we recommend them entirely.

Have been completely unable to provide us with a statement despite regular meter readings being provided. Terrible customer service, keep saying ‘Ned to refer to back office’ but still no statement. Please avoid this company.

Leading up to renewal, I sent 2 emails seeking information/clarification both of which were ignored. This meant that I had no opportunity to consider other suppliers and at the last minute, I was left with no choice but to renew with Tonik. Having done so, Tonik declined to pay me the £600 credit that I had acrued over the past 2 years. They have reduced my new monthly payments to take into account the credit but this was not what I wanted

Seems competitive. Just renewed for a second year but had an issue with the amount I paid monthly and consequently the amount tonik owed me. They took a long time to reply when I raised the issue and was only sorted when I renewed.

Disappointed in lack of communication! They were the cheapest and one of the few companies I could actually get hold of during Covid. Unfortunately my tariff messed up and it's been a constant chase for them to resolve the issue...and it still isn't resolved. They promise to come back to you within 24hrs but you hear nothing. You open a support ticket and chase it 4 times and still get no reply. So if your energy supply and tariff is running ok they might be alright to join but any issues and they will take far longer to resolve than they need to.

Tonik made a total mess of switching my gas supply. They repeatedly used the wrong MPRN and I wasted hours of my time on emails and phone calls trying to sort out the problem. My gas supply finally switched four months after I started the process and I raised a complaint with the energy ombudsman. The service they provided was truly appalling.

Everything is good - service and cost with high environmental ethics. My only complaint is they don’t offer a smart meter.

Been dual fuel with British Gas for over 10 years,went on uSwitch to see if I could save money, uSwitch say Tonik energy could save me energy costs, uSwitch did the switch to Tonik...all good so far..but Tonik only took over my electric so I was paying BOTH Tonik and British gas for my gas,after various calls over 4 MONTHS finally I'm dual fuel...This means my electric contract started April but my gas contract started August... really glad I changed (NO).

Competitive supplier, so after a year with Tonik, decided to renew this month with them again. If 1 minus. Hate keep giving readings. If missed, would be estimated. For a small user, this could bring my DD up. Not a fan of monitors, so suppose I will carry on giving readings. Customer service? Never really had to call them, though when I had. Very polite and knowledgeable 👍

Poor experience with billing when they deleted my account. Complaint handling was really poor to try and resolve so had to go to the Ombudsman
