1 star is too generous. Totally inept at billing and customer service. DO NOT SIGN UP TO TONIK. If you don't believe me look at their complaints performance on their website! Complaints total April to June 2019 was 1067 Complaints total April to June 2020 was 12090 ! That's 11 times more complaints than the same period last year!
Failed to switch my gas over. Zero response to my complaint, either by phone or by email. Eventually switched to a different supplier after 3 months. Account has been shut for a month and a half and they have not calculated a final bill, nor repaid my account which is in credit. I have had to take my complaint to the Ombudsman.. Non existent customer support - AVOID.
Tonik do what they say they will do good prices excellent customer service and great value for money
While I was with tonik, I was satisfied with their service. I left in April last year, just because I was seeking a better rate. This July, 15 months later, I have suddenly had a payment taken by direct debit from my account with absolutely no warning. Girl on the phone said it was my final payment but no explanation of why such a long wait and no warning. I think this is a shocking way to be treated
I have £180 in credit. I have asked for it to be returned to my account four times. It has not been credited to me and every month I have more credit. The system of keeping people's money is a disgrace
I have always found staff helpful and informative. It is also good to be able to talk to staff without having to go through endless options which usually results in going round in circles. You call, they answer and deal with the issue.
There website broke for about 6 months and didn't àllow you to reset your password. There solution was not to tell you when you attempted a reset but only if you raised a support call. Pretty useless b
Surely an energy supplier wouldn't indulge in fraud and theft would they Tonik Energy ? I already have my case in Resolver at the moment as Tonik are refusing me any contact. Even with this, they haven't deigned to sort my account (or should I say ex account). Thankfully I can escalate my problem to the ombudsman shortly and if that doesn't work then I will persue them in the Court to recover my outstanding credit. In the interim I cancelled my DD in June 2020 knowing there was sufficient credit to cover any debt until I was able to change supplier in July 2020. I even contacted Tonik to advise them of this to which they agreed. So shock and horror when I discovered Tonik had reinstated their DD on my bank without my knowledge or permission. They've even requested a payment although I'm not their customer. So that constitutes both fraud and theft (if they take a payment). People, keep a very close eye on your bank accounts.
Have had no problem with the supply, but had multiple problems since signing up. Unable to open bills from first 4 months with Tonik, was charged a direct debit twice one month and have had an ongoing issue with my gas meter since February that despite multiple contacts is still unresolved. The last three times I have contacted customer support via email I have had no reply.
Excellent service whilst being with Tonik, my bills were the lowest they have been for a few years.

Easy web site
Having moved to Tonik Energy 12 months ago, I have just renewed my contract with them for another year. I like being with a smaller company that's committed to renewable and sustainable energy options. I think that their prices are fair and, on the one occasion I had to raise an issue with them (because they weren't able to read my smart meter after I changed suppliers) they listened to and acted on my concerns. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Supply is no problem but customer service is virtually non existent. Over an hour on the phone but still not resolved. If you plan on moving don't use this company 😒
Tonik put me on their best rate for my 2nd year contract not the 1 they could make most money on, this reduced my monthly bill by approx £9.00
Cheap green and no problems
Good price for energy, well sourced. Administration is easy as is the website to enable you to keep track of your account.
Got to have green energy. Price is not the cheapest but worth it.

Sep 04,2020I switched to another supplier 7 months ago and Tonik has still not refunded the credit I have in my account. They only provided a final statement after 6 months because I complained to the Ombudsman. They don't respond to emails and their telephone customer service fobs you off. Atrocious company.
