An Honest, Green promoting energy supplier.
Great service and contact via email when contacted. Best pricing by far. Thank You Tonik Energy.
Great energy supplier. Quick transfer and keeps you informed every step of the way. I have not experienced any issues, so can't comment on issue response quality, but the fact I have no experience of problems speaks for itself.
Fantastic service and company. No problems.
During lockdown I e-mailed Customer Service on three occasions over a 3 month period. There was no response whatsoever. However, during the last month I have had contact and have changed my tariff. Customer service for most of the time has been absolutely zero.
I am mostly happy with the on line service/statements but asking for meter reading every month is too quick, 8 to 10weeks more appropriate.
A simple piece of advice. Do not go anywhere near this company. The story is too long to go into every detail, but when leaving them they refused to release my electricity supply to my new supplier, saying I owed £248. That was odd because my account had been in credit. I wasted a fair slice of my life trying to get someone at Tonik to speak to me about it, but usually just got told that someone would ring back but they never did. I complained to the energy ombudsman and they ruled in my favour. Tonik then had to release my electricty supply, apologise and pay £75 compensation. I then recieved a final bill, still saying I owed £248. I looked at the bill. Total charges less total credits left a balence of £17.10, which I offered to pay. No reply. Then the Dunning letters came, rang Tonik up, explained the final bill, offered to pay the £17.00. Said they could call back. Never did. Six months later I get a letter from UK Search, a debt collection agency, acting for Tonik. I rang them, explained the problem. The guy said to email him the final bill, which I did. He said that the case was on hold and that he would raise it with Tonik. A week later UK Search emailed me to say that the case was closed and no further action would be taken. It took the debt recovery agency to effectively act on my behalf! My advice to anyone who is having problems with Tonik, would be not to waste too much time with Toniks customer service, they will not speak to you and if they do, they won't help you. Try the ombudsman, but they are a bit toothles and Tonik aren't bothered by them. Consider legal action, or just wait for UK Search to sort out your problem for you. This company should not be allowed to trade. Don't go near them and if you are with them leave and don't allow them access to your bank account via DD etc.
I have been with Tonik Energy for 2 years now and I have to say the staff are very helpful. They helped me to understand how my tariff works and mostly how much money I can save. Plus if I refer a friend to Tonik I and my friend can be credited with £25 and I think that's amazing!
after months of problems I switched to another (cheaper provider) my final bill took months to arrive. It didnt include the legal £30 compensation for late issue and the refund didnt arrive until about 9 days after a second final bill arrived which means another £30 is owed for late refund ( over 10 working days) . I raised an official complaint on 26th August and other than the standard we have recieved your enquiry reply NOTHING. Looks like its going to have to go to Ofgem and arbitration to get any resolution. Tonik have now gone out of business - no surprises there the service had fallen off a cliff
Seamless transfer with no complications last year at a very competative fixed rate deal.
Contacted by my electricity and gas suppliers saying that I was leaving them. No idea why. When I enquired both being transferred to Tonik Energy. Contacted all three stating I did not want to move. No contact from Tonik Energy. 11 months later I am receiving letters from a debt collection company on behalf of Tonik Energy being threatened with legal action. Tonik have never even been in touch and I haven't used their services. Avoid like the plague.
Good website and great tariffs.
All ok other than the problem installing a new billing system aking access to my account impossible.
9 months of trying to switch. Money taken without consent. Didn’t even complete the switch. Terrible customer service. Was promised a refund but they took another payment out. On the phone for hours. Eventually they hung up on me! So still not resolved. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPANY. DREADFUL.
I switched to Tonik 11 weeks ago and they still haven't sorted out my Smart meter. The Smart meter display doesn't show correct information, readings don't get reported to my online account, and I can't manually enter readings either. I emailed them just after I switched and they replied asking for a photo of the meter. I sent them that and sent them 5 follow up emails asking about progress but they have all been ignored. I posted a bad review on here thinking that might prompt them into action but that was ignored too. I sent them an offical complaint too but even that has been ignored. The next step will be the energy ombudsman. Tonik are the worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with and I'd urge anyone to avoid having anything to do with them. It wouldn't surprise me if they went out of business very soon as they have absolutely no interest in retaining customers.
Renewed my tariff purely for boiler service and can’t get any help with registering
Very happy with service and prices . Would definitely advise others to go with tonik
Been with Tonik for a few years now, great prices, no troubles, good renewal offers, I'm a happy customer. Edit: well all was good up until they went bust! :-D disregard my knowledgeable opinion! ;-)
They are scammers with your bills. I've got more than 800£ in credit. We were asking about the refund since was 500£. They saying always next month... since 7 month. And this month appear in my account a bill from 900£. So. I didn't spent that quantity but they charge all the money in credit and now I've got 51£ in debit. I did calculations with my meters readers. Both fuels. And i spent in more than one year. No more than 460£. So they don't want to refund my money. That happened because we have a fixed price.. i don't know what can i do now. But i hope that other customers understand this situation. Thanks
