May 27,2023We bought a Vogue washer/dryer from these guys in December last year. It was working well until around half way through May. We smelled a burning smell about 15-20 minutes into the dryer cycle we had it on. Stopped the machine, checked the drum - not the clothes, checked the filter - it wasn't clogged, checked the back and the smell seemed to be coming from where the power cord went in. Reported this to Trade Depot and filled in a Warranty form that we had from another purchase. A week later it was picked up for service and returned, with them saying they couldn't smell any burning when they'd run it and it was working fine, and that a burning smell was 'normal' because the heater is at the top of the machine. We know it's not normal, because we'd been using it for 6 months on both washer and dryer without any burning smell. They didn't run it on the same cycle we used, and we don't really want to be using this thing anymore. At this point we just want a refund, and even if we wanted to try using it again, it's been returned to our place without the connector pipe for the water, and with a wet towel inside it which smells like it's had oil or CRC or something on it. Not the best after sales service for sure. It's a shame, because NZ can use a reliable lower price appliance supplier. Edit: We did end up getting a replacement for the faulty washer/dryer, after a few emails, which arrived yesterday (3.5 weeks). This company seriously needs to invest more in its after-sales service and streamlining its response processes.

May 25,2023I have bought a DUCTED MIDEA HEAT PUMP, and I need help with features set up... I sent them an email, never heard back. I called them, after 1 hour, the operator insisted with me that the information were in the manual and I asked him to look at himself, He ask apologize and said would be back to me with the instructions. Never heard back.... DONT BUY ANY ELECTRONICS from them... if you need to dispute or help with repair you better throw it away...

May 24,2023This company would have to be the worst company I have dealt with I order and paid for a dryer on the 11th of May now 24th Yet to recive my good s 13 days Web site said 2-3 days They don’t even bother to contact you You have to call them and you can’t get put through to managers to find out why Don’t get a return call as promised from senior staff Would I tell everyone that they SUCK HELL YES Would I buy from them again HELL NO

May 24,2023Trade depot. I have emailed 4 or 5 times. Filled out forms. Called several times, the latest being cut off after 15 minutes on hold. I have a fridge that is only 20 months old. I need someone to contact me since it's been 7 days now. Come on trade depot. Surely you can do better than this? 24/5. Thank you so much Sian for getting in touch so quickly and organizing the service man to come out. It was a fan that had stopped working and both Fridge and freezer is now working again.

May 22,2023We have purchased so many items from your store and have always been happy with the quality and price. Aftersales service is non existent. We knew this from the begining but were hoping we wouldn't have to access aftersales service. When installing my bathroom cabinet I chipped the mirror. I emailed Sam to ask if we could purchase another door with mirror, he said he would check with the Hamilton branch and get back to us. He didn't. We emailed again and again and asked the same question - NOTHING. That was 2 months ago, we have just given up. We actually want to purchase something but absolutely no interest from Trade Depot ?

May 19,2023Purchased a Vogue Dryer Air Venter 7kg from Onehunga branch on 4th May. Scheduled for delivery on 13th May, then rescheduled for 14th then 15th May. Still didn't happen. I contacted company to ask why it's been rescheduled a few times, their answer is ''shortage of staff" Then, they rescheduled for Sat.20th May, and I've checked it this afternoon. it's been rescheduled again for Sun 21st May. I contacted Trade Depot and they told me that the reason is because their delivery truck has some mechanical problem. Surely, this is a lie as I told them. She also suggested there's no guarantee of getting the item on 21st as they may reschedule it again. I have asked to speak to Manager and she said she will give information to her Manager and well, its been an hour and still no phone call or email from Trade Depot. Anyway, their delivery policy says it will take 2-6 days for delivery in Auckland, apparently this is false advertising, as it's been over 2 weeks now and I still haven't received my good. What is the actual reason for the poor delivery service and the lack of communication to clients@Trade Depot??

May 19,2023This has finally been resolved and I'm extremely thankful to those that sorted it out so quickly after this review - Especially Sian 🙂 Hopefully processes will be improved so that this kind of thing doesn't happen again. After 5 months I am still waiting for my dispute to be resolved. I advised customer support of the issue via phone and had to follow this up two weeks later as I hadn't heard anything. Phoned again and followed it up with an email - was told they would look into it. After having to follow this up time and time again over the ensuing months, I finally thought I was getting somewhere as a request had supposedly been sent to another dept. to get approval for a 'new' item to be sent. After being apologized too and told it would be sorted by the end of the week I'm still waiting for confirmation - Needless to say I am not happy one iota 🤨

May 13,2023I purchased the Vogue 8kg Condenser Dryer and couldn’t be happier. Ordering online was easy, it was far cheaper than other brands and I got free delivery. I didn’t have to wait too long to receive it, the order was processed very quickly and I was given up to date notifications of the process. The dryer works very well and looks really nice. Lots of settings to choose from and my clothes dry in one cycle. Thanks Trade Depot - very happy customer here!

May 09,2023After repeated emails requesting action on the refund I was told we were getting still no word/answer/action performed by Trade Depot. We have given them until end of this week and if no contact made I will be taking Trade Depot to the Disputes Tribunal. The initial purchase was made in November. Received part of the order then nothing. Travelled from Northland to their shop and returned one part. That was over a month ago. THEY ARE CHEAP BUT NOT WORTH THE HASSLE

May 09,2023Bought a shower cubical off them. After a week of emails saying they were going to deliver it the next day and then one saying they tried but failed when we were actually home the whole time, I gave up and went and hired a trailer and picked it up myself. Net cost to me - extra plumber charges because he had to come back again $400 and cost of picking up myself $50. Better to just work with a company with a customer focussed culture and pay slightly more. Won't shop here again.

May 04,2023The only good thing was cancelling my order and getting my refund after waiting 3.5 wks plus and still no delivery .Tryed for days to get hold of these guys by text ,email ,phone which just keeping saying ring bak in an hr and then hanging up,finally did a message through Facebook and got a response a while later.Still another wk for delivery at least which I wasn't gunna rely on after what they say was a failed delivery but we were home waiting so that was not the case.This is place I will never go.bak to and never recommend.

May 02,2023I ordered a washing machine on 20th April - after ordering no update about shipping or nything. After 10 days i contacted them - that was after millions helpdesk calls and live chats. They said the item is out of stock and I will have to wait till it is back in stock. I asked for a different machine to be delivered they said yes - but still nothing. Again going on helpdesk calls daily for 2-3 hours. I think they have only one guy attending the helpdesk calls. Really pathetic company - will never order anything from them. I just need a washing machine or my refund. Look at the reviews below - i highly doubt they will refund my money so pushing forgetting me a different washing machine soon. I m now down to praying to get my washing machine.

Apr 26,2023I would never buy or recommend anyone to do click and collect. I house a drill bit in March still haven't received pick up email. Request refund still nothing. Waste of time. Phone have long waiting...no 0800 number and use my mobile and unnecessary charge on my mobile. Worst experience.

Apr 24,2023Worst experience I have ever had as a customer! I have worked I retail/Trade for over 20 years and have never or will ever treat my customers the way Trade depot auckland operate. Ordered a fridge on Wednesday got a txt on Thursday to say it will be delivered Friday....No one showed up waited all day no communication to say there was a delay. I emailed asking what happened they told me the driver coikfnt find my fridge thats why no body showed up. (Just passing the blame not owning it) kept being told its because of the employers not employing anyone! That's a problem right there. So she said we will have one on the truck from Hamilton on Sunday. Waited until Tuesday got a phone call from the delivery driver asking do I have the fridge, I said no then he again said it couldn't be found! So again he had to organize one from Hamilton which should have already been done. So I waited for 3 days there was a txt I recieved at 6.02pm saying it will be delivered in an hour on the Wednesday then another txt at 6.03pm saying the delivery had failed but nobody had shown up again. Tried to call/email....nothing totally no communication at all then all if a sudden got another email with a new order confirmation so had to wait another few days for it to be delivered on the Saturday. That is why I am writing this review to match all the other bad reviews and to tell everyone that if Trade depot knows they have screwed up then they delete that history by giving you another order confirmation number. Absolutely appalling service all over. I know it is busy sometimes but your customers are the people who pay your wage. No customers, no sales = no wage. Management needs to take notice of these reviews also and do something about it!

May 28,2023Bought a Vogue Heat Pump dryer with a 2-year warranty 3 years ago. It's worked well for those three years and now it's failed. We contacted service agents and they won't touch Midea or Vogue. We raised a warranty claim with Trade Depot but they were not interested as it's outside their warranty period. Products might be cheap but they are not if you have to throw them away. We are now wondering if our Midea dishwasher will also fail after the warranty period.
