AVOID TRADE DEPOT AT ALL COSTS. We had read such awful reviews that we decided to pay extra and source everything for our new house from elsewhere- thankfully. We ordered 1 item from them as it was significantly cheaper (a shower screen) - this was ordered at the beginning of October. Only half of the screen turned up, we have called trade depot nearly every day (their call centre is offshore in the Philippines- they pretend it’s in New Zealand but it isn’t) and therefore it’s impossible to get anywhere. We keep receiving calls and texts to say the other half of the shower will arrive today, tomorrow at 6pm etc. and still we have nothing. Don’t be conned by the cheap prices. We wish we’d stuck with alternative stores, I’m just so so thankful we didn’t order anything else through them.
Unless you have the paitence of a saint spend the extra, go elsewhere. It may seem reasonably priced but by the time you deal with the screw ups it’s already cost you more. Save yourself the trouble.
Vogue products are all crap! My dryer takes 4 hours and multiple functions to dry a load, dishwasher is basic also. Pay the extra money somewhere else!
After sales service if not the best to be honest! its frustrating as HELL. The robot vacuum unit operates well, just a software problem on the mobil app so its a software issue. I have been struggling now for almost 4 weeks between phone calls to emails to get this problem resolved. and still not having the best of luck..... Christmas is coming and soon it will be gone!
Worse company ever. First they delivered wrong item. Then the correct item never arrived. Then they collected wrong items for refund but say they were never picked up. We spent $1200 plus freight and have no items or refund. We’ve give. Up trying. Literally ever turn there has been a mistake by Trade Depot. Don’t buy from them!!
Never again. Be warned. Shocking service. Bought a toilet suite bundle and the different parts arrived except the pan which was damaged in transit. Am now trying to get a replacement sent out but the call centre staff (who insist they are in Onehunga) just give me the run around and talk rubbish. Have asked for escalation but there is none. Absolutely do not recommend.
Brought a demand water heater that is not working properly. Emailed trade depot and they apologized for the problem and they would get it fixed asap. 2 months later and dozens of emails they are still apologizing but doing nothing. They have no one outside of the Auckland area that repair their appliances. What ever you buy may seem cheap at the time. When it breaks you need to be prepared to through it away. Their are many other companies that sell the same items and do honer the warranty in nz. Just have a search. Anything is better than dealing with these usless people. They say that they don't have my details. As I have said. I have had dozens of emails from Kathleen Palencia and Edmarc Cabrillos. I have filled in their warranty card with all my contact details and also send them my receipt of purchase, also with all my details. They just play games shame on all of you. Shame
Received the dishwasher yesterday in perfect condition and it runs well
hi will not use trade depot again. ordered a freezer and it arrived without a top glass shelf. they tried to tell me you load items on copper freezing coils, the freezer comes without a shelf. yet groves for a shelf are there. i offered them a $10 solution to fix the problem. they did not want to spend $10 to fix the problem. Any company who won"t spent ten dollars to fix an issue deserves not to be in business.
Purchased and paid for an oven back in May, cancelled order and still no refund ????? it's now November !!!! Many attempts have been made to address this : was told refund would be received within the week on a few calls, was told had to fill out a form for a refund which they were going to email, not able to get through. 6 months is far too long to get a refund and in this current climate OUR $900 would certainly be helpful. I would definately not recommend dealing with this company
well all i can say as i did in an email to them today that i have fixed my freezer problem and wish to have no further dealings with this company. There are others selling midea products so go to them.
My elderly mother ordered a new fridge as they offered to deliver. Only one person was sent to deliver it and he was not able to put it in the kitchen upstairs. They refused to send another person to help so my mother was forced to hire help. When it was unpacked, it arrived with a dent on it. She sent them a photo and got no response.
I DONT even want to give one star. Having waited for a good 2-3 months for some clamps to be back in stock the day arrived and so I placed my order. Waited for my pickup email. Nothing. Days pasts. Weeks past. After the first week tried to call the customer service number. All agents are busy please try again in 1 hour. Yes tried again in 1 hour same response. Done this several times over multiple days, never able to get through. Resorted to online chat, which finally gave a result albeit over an hour later. Verdict. Store was out of stock. So do an internal transfer from 1 store to another. Oh that will be another 230$. 50% of my original order. Needless to say I suggested where to store the clamps. And they wanted to charge me for that as well. 15$ storage and handling. I eventually managed to get my order cancelled but am still waiting on a refund. Guess that will take several weeks as well. WARNING If you are stupid enough to buy from this company, the responsibility is yours. If you order online be prepared to wait until, well who knows. Once they have your money, be prepared to go to war to get it back.
We got our notification saying that the washing machine was on the truck a week later we have to call up only to be told that it was out of stock, why say it on the truck!? They then charged us another 130 or so dollars for a different model to come from Auckland instead of Hamilton, we were meant to get the information within 24 hours, 5 day's later we got it. Once more we had to call up after we read that it was on the truck, we had to demand our money back. They said it would be here Monday, It's now Monday 31st October almost 6pm, no washing machine. Big shock they lied to us a 3rd time. This business needs to reported and even looked at by fair go.
The price and the quality of the kitchen sink were better than my expectations. The staff bend backward to satified my request a 10 for her
good range of products at reasonable prices BUT absolutely appaling communication and at time of writting, I'm still waiting on deliveries. I do not recommend nor support this type of business models - purely driven on pricing with ZERO emphasis on their customers
NO STARS They are the worst ever. I brought a fridge from them that had a dent in it when I opened the box I took a photo and cald them straight away. Their response ! Because it has nothing to do with the function of the fridge they are not responsible 😡 ! It looks ugly and I purchased a new fridge not damaged! No refund or discount! I hate looking at it everyday 🖕
Worst customer service! They took months to fill my order for a bathroom shower and vanity, the vanity was out of stock in the store closest to me so it was supposed to be delivered from Auckland, because I wanted is ASAP I offered to drive up and pick it up from there, when arriving they told me they were also out of stock! and told me it could be months until new stock comes in. I had to go with an alternative that cost me even more! Then the shower tray they gave me was not as described and needed replacing so the plumber could install it. after spending all morning trying to get through to customer service and them taking over 3hrs just to tell me that I will need to purchase a different product with that specification even though the description on their website says this product should also have that specification. Don't waster your time and money. Go to Trade Tested and get a much better experience!
I would not recommend purchasing from this establishment - I have had a terrible experience with since June this year. I brought a dishwasher that broke, local plumber advised that getting parts for this machine had to be from Trade Depot and it is extremely difficult to get. How true they were. I rang and could never get thru. I emailed and never received a response other than there automatic response. I ended up doing a bad review and low and behold I got a phone call. Was advised that someone would call me back. Got an email instead. Several emails later I was told that the closest tech that they use is over an hour away and that basically the part, labor and travel was going to be more than the dishwasher actually cost me. I advised no thanks and asked for the part to be sent directly to me. Received a phone call advising part coming out and could I please change my review - I did not change. Received part week later. Got plumber out and he could not do, advised I would need an electrician. 5 week wait time for electrician. Finally electrician turned up before stated time frame and low and behold the part was the wrong one. Still had to pay for callouts for both trades but didn't mind as they provided great service. I have brought a new reputable dishwasher from Noel Leeming.

Dec 08,2022With Trade Depo you get what you pay for, just because it's cheap it's not always the best. I bought a bathroom cabinet mirror, and it took awhile to arrive having been sitting in the Depo after my phone call it finally arrived. We left it in the garage all wrapped up in the box for a week and a half to find a chip on the right side of the mirror door. I rang them and it was out of their 7 day warranty and so I had to buy a replacement door from the parts Dept. I paid the $60 on the beginning of October, and it has not yet arrived. After my many phone calls I got through to Sagar who promised to find out what happened to it and get it delivered. I emailed Sagar, rang the Customer Service to get him to ring me to no avail. I am sure if I went to another provider, and paid a bit more for my goods I would have got a replacement in the first place. My lesson learnt
