I repeatedly asked Trade Depot not to deliver the fridge I had purchased until 22 Feb as I didn’t currently live at the delivery address. After numerous assurances it would be held until 22 Feb they attempted to deliver a week early. Very unprofessional and frustrating. Went in circles trying to contact them. They then confirmed by tracking and email that it would be delivered 23rd however they then told me delivery would be 24th when I had taken 23rd off specifically to take delivery. I was furious and demanded it be delivered 23rd. It was left in my garage while I was in the house with no notification and was told they do not deliver inside!! Be aware of that! Appalling customer service. Avoid this company.

Absolutely shocking this company gives the impression it is run by Chinese from a China address.. Try and get a refund from them I dare you, It just doesn't happen as it should in New Zealand, there is no way of complaining in an E mail form and all other ways of complaint are restrained by a controlled web page.. Terrible experiences -10 week delays on delivery only to be told that the items we'd ordered and paid for had been discontinued weeks ago, poor to no communication, no-one ever answers the phones, items not as advertised, an item that had to be repaired twice in six months, shoddy workmanship, to add insult to injury we had a store manager brand us as liars when we reminded him of the promises he had made just two weeks before. He told us that an item would be delivered that week when it wasn't even in the country. He said he had never seen us before and then just laughed at us. Plumbing for sinks etc not appropriate for NZ. This company could be could be successful as their prices are very competetive but their management, and the way they treat their customers is absolutely abysmal. The date is fictitious as this was an on-going saga over six months.

A one star review is only part of the picture. Our last reno was fitted out with TD kitchen appliances and a couple of bathrm/WC fixtures - all are still going strong after 3 years. The actual process of purchasing almost put us off ever going back. But, you like to ppl/businesses the opportunity to redeem themselves, esp NZ ones. So for this current reno we went to TD for 2/WC's, basin, and shower. Because we live outside the area we tried to sort a prelim product selection by visiting initially (zero interest/knowledge by 'sales' team to answer queries) our closest store, Onehunga, and then by email comm's . Ingrid was great with her email comm's and advice. We arrived for to check availability, payment and pick up at 5:30pm (closes at 6) and our order wasn't a difficult one. The ppl on the customer service desk were ACTIVELY avoiding us (literally ran out the back lols) because psychologically they had obviously clocked off well before closing. Luckily we saw Enrico at his desk - what a breath of fresh air - enthusiastic and capable. Got the paperwork sorted and headed down to despatch. Still 15mins to 'closed'. The response from the forklift drivers was openly hostile (one more than the other). My family and I have never had a 'retail' experience like that ever before. Anyway, as has happened before with TD, the items were shown as being available but of course we had to go back days later to pick up the rest of the order. In our opinion and experience TD is on a knife edge for repeat business. Prices might be ok, but maybe the prices are such because the general employment rationale is the compromise? C'mon Mr Christie, you can't have your head in the sand on this - you have a company culture that is inefficient and destructive. If you employed quality over quantity everyone, including yourself, would be better off. If you lose Ingrid and Enrico plus anyone else like them you are doomed. As to the pending kitchen reno and apartment fitout after this bathrm project, the jury is out on facing the TD experience again. Oh, and we elected to collect our order because locally (an hour north of Akl) TD is well-known for sending the wrong items and damage in transit.

Great purchase and delivery..but shelf broke it mounting point and fell out of fridge and with it took the customer service from trade depo..asked for photos done a month ago..still herd nothing...in this day and age their after sales service is discusting.wish I had paid extra and gone to a proper appliance shop.

Worst experience ever. The perceived savings have long since disappeared and my client is now more than $1100 out of pocket and still no idea when we might get all the parts ordered to finish a bathroom reno.

2 stars due to shipping. This company does drop offs at ridiculous hours of the night. I had received a fridge at nearly 11pm at night and the handler of my item seemed annoyed that there wasn’t a male present as he had to move the fridge himself, at one point he dropped the fridge ontop of himself twice. If he had of turned up during the day this would have been more appropriate as there would have been people to help. Luckily fridge was ok although handled very recklessly - will see how the fridge goes for the next couple of days. For future advice, please do not do drop offs this late at night. Especially being a female living alone… this was shocking.

Had a problem with stick vacuum not charging after 1 year, a good product too. Trade Depot have been super helpful in sorting it out, and quickly. Much appreciation and thanks to Shova and Jordiee in customer service. You are doing a great job.

The worst after sales customer service I have ever experienced. We purchased a dishwasher for an 80 year old lady for her brand new home. The dishwasher was faulty and had to be replaced. That process took 2 1/2 months! The new dishwasher lasted 5 weeks and the same fault happened again. We have had to wait 3 weeks for it to be picked up, now have to wait for it to be delivered back to trade depot then be tested by a technician (even though it has a known fault - a faulty thermostat) which could take at least 10 days. Today, when I requested a refund I was told they could not process one until it has been tested. I do not trust another dishwasher from Trade Depot and never want to deal with this company again. I want a refund so I can go to a store who value their customers. Shocking service for an 80 year old.

Worst experience, do not shop here. The communication in their buisness is ridiculous, have spoken with 4 different customer service agents and all 4 of them asked the same questions. Apparently they do not have a system that allows other staff to see updated notes of phone calls. No explanation given as to why my delivery was not delivered after receiving a phone call driver was 30-40min out. Waiting on a refund that said would be 5-10 days once processed. They are still investigating why my order was delivered when it had been cancelled a week prior. RIDICULOUS SERVICE

Order was not quite correct and customer service seem to be non existent, you can not contact anyone and the tell you to use their chat for quicker response but you get ignored, They organise return of incorrect item and then started ringing me every day to see if I had returned it, in the end I had to give them all the details about what they had organised for as they did not know, still waiting for supply of correct item and just get fobbed off by customer service, I will never use this shop again and will be advising anyone who will listen to steer clear.

Bought frost free freezer and it's not really frost free. Ice is buildup so much that the drawer can't be opened. Did email and phone call and spoke to someone who was meant to send the technician but I guess is still finding ways to get here since 12/12/2022

Purchased a chest freezer from these guys in December and received a confirmation that the item would be delivered on 28th Dec. Received a text on the day saying the delivery man will be arrived in 3 mins, but he/she never show up. I contacted the call centre and asked what happened and the lady mentioned it was system error and they would organise another delivery and it never happened! I called again this morning (after opening several tickets with no response from them) and another lady said the system shows the item was delivered on 29th Dec, which means my last call didn't lead to anything. What a waste of my time! Wish I had read the review before purchasing from these guys..

My midea washing machine is around 18 months old 6 months ago the lid wouldn't activate sensors and machine wouldn't work... the same has happened again... it was picked up Friday week ago... I've tried phoning today to see when it will be returned but customer service is hopeless can't get through did go online for a chat after 10 minutes nothing... I will never buy again from this company ...

Worst experience of customer service of my life. Delivery day came around and they said they would call to tell me a time slot. That day came and went after I had been on phone to them 3 times that's day them advising it's still coming that day. Next day comes around and same thing happens. Day 3 of promises it will come and no call back from promises. I called them for the 100th time and they said oh it won't be for a few more days now. Finally got it delivered from the store directly and then the next day they delivered the same thing again( no call like they where asked to). I did the right thing and called to tell them we now have two fridges and 2 dishwasher. Only then did they hurry to collect the extras that where sent and since then I have been ignored by all managers or staff about issues. Over a month of calling and empty promises. Do not use them

I would give 0 star if I can. I read reviews online before I purchase, and still decided to go with them (because they are the only ones have the fridge I want). It was ok when I made the order. Sales rep Grace told me to purchase thru her (instead of on the website) because I need the item to be hold for 3-4 weeks before deliver. And She said if I buy online, then it will be shipped immediately. However, 1 day later, I received email saying item has been dispatched. I then emailed Grace immediately, and no reply. Three days later, I received email saying item will be delivered today. Then I tried to contact customer service through website and phone calls, cannot reach any one. I then missed the delivery guy's phone call. And when I finally get in touch of him, he said he already left the item and would not go back to pick it up. Luckily, I received a call from Trade Depot (only because I left a message online saying I would like to purchase a fridge 🙄). And I managed to tell the sales rep what happened, and ask her to find someone to pick up the fridge. Now an hour passed, no one follow up with me. And a very stressful day for my holiday. Not a great experience at all. I would not recommend them at all. Terrible customer service.

Wish I could give a 0 star. Don't purchase through these guys. Have had 2 Midea fridges through them. First lasted 12 months. The second less than 2 years. They won't honor replacing. Shouldn't have to replace fridges every 1 to 2 Yeats. Terrible customer service. If this helps one person not get ripped off like my family has then I will be happy I saved them money and stress.

We wished we read all these reviews before making our order from Trade Depot. It would have saved us all what we are currently going through with this horrible company, which is very similar to what most people here have experienced. It is the best example of how one company is in breach of the NZ Consumer Guarantee Act many times over. Citizen Advice Bureau said: “ If you believe the business is in breach of the Fair Trading Act you can also make a complaint to the Commerce Commission. Although they can't act on your behalf, they do investigate if many complaints are made about a business and can take action against the business” If many of us make a complaint to the NZ Commerce Commission, then maybe this company will be dealt with and disciplined as they should be. Reading all the customers experiences here, this company should be investigated by the Commerce Commission. (See cab.org.nz)

ITS UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE PLACE TO BUY ANYTHING!! Im so disappointed. I bought a NEW fridge but it never worked good that I was expecting. The fridge condenser everything and create ice at the back leaking water on my food!! Is unacceptable this ! We saved money for 3 months to buy a new fridge and now I have to have all this trouble. Im having a battle with them because I wanted action on a replacement but they don’t want give to me a refund or give a credit to buy other one. I really need a solution or I will go to do legal actions.

Purchased a new fridge but it never worked Had an absolute battle convincing them I wanted action on a replacement but they never responded so went back and asked for it to be collected and a full refund given they picked it up on the 2/12 but still no refund 5 They said no more than 5 working days totally over this outfit low quality products and non existent customer service don’t buy from them Just had their salesperson ring me after I had to go back in and demand my refund-said it was a hold up at their end (heard this a few times now) and that refund will be in my bank account in 2-5 working days (same thing he said last time). Seriously this is a joke and a rip off Sick of hearing their ads on the radio knowing they don’t measure up to their BS advertising.
