where to start.. sitting at home for the 5th day expecting delivery promised today.. same as all other days.. and this is the replacement for the poor quality bath that took 3 arrangements to deliver.. please learn from my mistakes.. just don't buy anything you can't carry out with you..
Never again, spent over $800 on 4 items 2 Sundays ago and opted for free delivery i was sent a message on Monday that delivery was next day if i didnt work in with them my delivery could be delayed by several days, I messaged to ask an estimated time of delivery but they ignored me, he came at 4pm and dropped off THE TOP OF MY BATHROOM VANITY and a plug, he had no idea where the other 2 items were, Thursday before Easter (2days after) I got a message delivery was Saturday, you get a message they are entering your street, by the time I got to the door he had gone, he had dumped my vanity bottom in front of my car on its end, my drives steeps a bit, i messaged TD and said im 150cm and 67 yrs old tell him to come and put it in my garage, she said no he was delivering other items, i was still missing my tap mixer and shower mixer, i rang 3 times but no one answers, tells you to ring back in an hour, i went on chat and first time said they would answer within 55 mins, i tried again later and they said they would answer under 2 hours, so i messaged and asked where my other stuff was and was told it had been delivered on Easter Sat with the vanity, i said no it hadnt and as my husband needed the shower mixer that wkend I had to go to mitre 10 and buy the items again, then yesterday we had to drive all the way back to ask for a refund, luckily Les, who had served us was on the register, he said Do u know why you havent received it I said yes it said it was out of stock on the 1st message i got, he sorted it out with someone and told me to go back to the other register for a refund, the girl on there then had to leave to get the machine that does refunds, cant they afford one for each register, 3 times it declined, never heard of it declining when its suppose to be giving a refund, 4th time it worked, no customer service what so ever, can’t even talk to a human so had to drive back to TD get it sorted, my husband said they should have given me a voucher for all the trouble

cheap but that's all.. can't get anything delivered.. 100% fail rate over the last 4 years . getting things resolved takes too much effort..

He is very helpful, listened to what I needed as a customer, was thoughtful in his recommendations, did not rush me, there was no hard-sell and he followed up to ensure I was satisfied with the recommendations and choices I had made in between my first visit and deciding to purchase. We were served by Sachin Vohra who we now call a friend. He was so helpful and patient when it came to buying a lot of products for our kitchen and bathroom. He made the experience easy and stress free. He knew all the products really well and even gave us tips on how to install things like the correct sink and other helpful ideas too. Highly recommend going to the trade depot in Christchurch now because of this great experience with Sachin.
We purchased a dryer for our business May 2022. February 2023 it stopped working, being under warranty we thought this would be resolved quickly. It is now April, it is not. We are spending hundreds of dollars on laundry costs with an external Laundry service and still the issue has not been resolved. I am very disappointed with the service and frustrated we are not a high priority for your business. We would never treat our customers in this manner.
We have bought many appliances from trade depot. Oven, heatpumps, heatpump drier and most recently an upright freezer. The Hamilton staff are awesome. Dealt with Les from Hamilton and he was quick and efficient and helped me get my order sorted asap. Bloody awesome guys.
I ordered a Midea Fridge last year and was told to wait as there is a backlog of orders and so I waited more than 3 months and couldnt wait any longer so they gave me an Iceland 213L fridge freezer, when I received it two days later ice started building up and the drawers could not open as the ice was so strong we couldnt even open the freezer doors. I emailed Trade Depot about the issue, they sent a Technician who said the temperature wasnt working properly, he ordered the part and it was the wrong part, here we waited again, the part turned up. Technician came back to install the new part, although the ice was less thicken than it was before but ice was still building up and we still had issues with freezer not being frost free. Another technician came along and decided that the fridge freezer needs to be replaced. Its been 3-4 weeks and Im still trying to sort this out. I would much rather have my money back than buy another fridge from Trade Depot. Its sooo hard to get hold of anyone, you can multiple people dealing with your one case.
How to give less than one star review? It has been 3 weeks and 18 emails only to request a quote for replacement glass AND installation of that replacement glass into Trade Depot oven. Despite requesting multiple times for the quote for both so I can send it to my insurance company, all I have so far is a quote for the glass. I’m so stuck here as external repairers will not touch trade depot appliances and Trade depot not sending me the quote means we have been without an oven for weeks! I’ve literally tried everything here but for some reason they will not give me the full quote and haven’t even advised me why. I knew this would not be simple, due to previous experience with this company, but it’s just a quote! It’s costing you nothing Trade Depot! You are blocking me from wrapping up an insurance claim and we don’t have a usable oven! The customer service at this company is the worst I’ve ever dealt with and I do not recommend their products either. This is just ridiculous.
Finally got it fixed please if you can resolve things quicker you sent a part that was not the problem if a tech had just been sent out first to look at it the fridge would have been fixed weeks ago
We had such a helpful young irishman whe went out of his way to explain what the problem was. He also helped put our fridge back ln a tight space. We really appreciated that extra cate and kindness.
I would love a good looking bathroom, unfortunately we ordered and paid for a vanity unit in January and still don't have it. It arrived damaged- by damaged, I mean not salvagable they organised pick up pretty quick, since then we have had trucking companies come 4 times to pick up the original that already went. Followed up by calls to tradedepot - been about 15 so far, most times told they will call us back - not one returned call. Received an email stating delivery last week - nope truck company came to pick up the damaged one again! ( this email stated reorder received 21/2, scheduled delivery 14/3). Called them, told it should be there Friday- nope. Called again today, over an hour on thr phone, turns out they don't even have them in the country and it'll be a few months! So - can I have a refund, sure, great - can you email me by end of business today confirming this - sure, when I work out how to do refund as it won't let me click on refund in my system, no email tonight so I guess I'm not getting my refund. Also asked if I could speak to someone higher up, apparently he's not there at the moment, how convenient. Could have asked him to ring me when he got in. Cost of my time - probably 5 hrs in phone calls, on holds etc. Delaying the plumbers for install and having to pay a new vehicle charge fee etc, approx $80 ( once I actually get a vanity). Pretty much the cost of the vanity, so could have brought two! Wish I had have read all the online reviews before using these guys. This is absolutely rubbish. Sort it out and reach out to your customer
Most of the stuff I have bought here has stopped working after a couple of years, usually shortly after warranty has expired. Better to spend a bit more and get more reliable products from somewhere else.
These guys are the worst, buy from anywhere else. I'm still waiting on items purchased in November. They refuse to refund for items not delivered. They tell me the items are now out of stock, yet they're still for sale on their site. They don't respond contact. I suspect there going under. These clowns couldn't organise a pissup in a brewery. Avoid at all costs.
If i could do LESS than one star I would. Woeful customer service, crappy products not fit for NZ purpose and as a company, it's clear once they get your money, they couldn't give a stuff. Strategic directorship in how to rip people blind while still appearing legit. Edit: 22/3/23 - wow, didn't think you could bugger it up any more, but I was wrong, your glib reply, was not only a month in coming, but you sent it to ME - not the end client, if you'd paid ANY attention at all you'd realise that I'M the 'technician' - registered electrician to be precise (NB: AM not and never have been nor will ever be in ANY way linked to you as a company), and know full well its now done. (Component had same issue btw, and your instruction manual was laughable, but managed to get it done despite all this) Zero stars? Nah, minus 4. Utterly useless to the point I suspect it's designed to be.
Update 23 Feb 2023 Finally got a refund. Took more than two months after return request and after sending countless emails back and forth. Update 22 Feb 2023 On 20 December 2022 I received an induction cooktop from Trade Depot Auckland. The induction cooktop was broken in several places and had chips all over the place. Within 30 minutes I sent a return request to Trade Depot. Filled in the form and received pickup forms. Nothing happened. After many reminders the package was finally picked up on 24 January 2023. Was promised that I would receive a refund within 1 to 2 weeks. Now, 22 February 2023, after several reminders and promises I still did not get a refund of $499. Told them in an email that I had downgraded their rating On Google Maps. This still did not get Trade Depot into action. Have now given Trade Depot rubbish status of 1 star on Google Maps and warned people to not buy anything from Trade Depot Luckely, I have all conversations done by email which comes in handy when I request a credit card chargeback via my bank. Can take a while but from past experience I know that I get my money back.
this crowd are terrible, washing machine fell apart shortly after install in December, incorrect and broken replacement parts sent, no information regarding the repair itself, closing the job when not complete, multiple phone calls and emails don't get any result, at wits end with them, seeking legal advice and would NEVER deal with them again
All they know is how to grub your money that's all that matters. I have a broken air con that I fought to install for 2 months after payment and now 1 month of fighting for warranty service. NEVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

Apr 23,2023My son purchased a freezer online, he works on a dairy farm in the South Island and couldn't get into the shop. He paid upfront for the freezer and a rural delivery. Has now discovered the item is out of stock, via email. No indication of when he could expect to receve it, no option of a refund. Trade Depot phone system cuts off if Noone answers, messages the the website form are still not responded to. The chat bot says its connecting you to an agent, 3 hours later nothings happened. We are both trying to contact. This is nothing more than Robbery.
