Feb 06,2024Hi, For starters our arcade room had the main arcade broken and there was no power. When we called customer service we were told that they knew the machine was broken before we came and that it won't be fixed. We asked why we werent old about this beforehand but got the robo-response, we're sorry your experiencing. it. The next issue was when we decided to go swimming only to find out the heater was broken as well. We were there for 5 days and could not go swimming in our pool once since it was too cold outside and the heater was broken.The company offered to credit me for the "extra service" of having a heater but when i explained that i couldnt use the pool at all, the answer was "the pool is working, it's just the heater". My response was "are you out of your mind, it's 60 degrees and ice cold without the heater...

Feb 06,2024We stayed at Villatel in the Sports Sanctuary for 10 nights over winter break. The house was spacious and appeared exactly as in the photos. We definitely experienced some hiccups throughout our stay which is why I am forced to only give three stars. We chose this particular house because of the golf simulator room. When we arrived, the golf simulator was nowhere to be found. It was replaced with a system we couldn't figure out. A technician came by the next day and explained that the golf simulator was removed from the house to be fixed and they put in a temporary program on a pc that could provide a pseudo golf experience. However, it was a free program that only gave 10 minutes before you were asked to subscribe. And involved a wand like club with no ball use. It was pretty terrible, which the tech admitted as well. Our bowling lane never worked properly. The technician came to fix that too. He was able to fix the ball retrieval mechanism, but it never allowed us to input players or keep score. So no games were played during our stay. The pool and hot tub were lovely. We paid the astronomical fee of $70/day for heating bc the weather was quite cool. Unfortunately, the hot tub temperature was set to 104 degrees which was too hot to enjoy. As a guest, you have no access to change the temperature and I didn't realize until several days into the trip that I could ask management to change the temperature for me. Once we had it turned down by several degrees, we were able to enjoy without first degree burns. Another issue we had was batteries kept dying in the smoke detectors. First it happened on our first evening in the house, we heard the alarm beeping when we got home from dinner. We called management and a technician came promptly to replace. Then the next night, another one went off in the middle of the night, waking us all up and keeping us awake until a technician came by to replace. At this point, we asked for all of the batteries to be replaced in all of the detectors, because it was clear that one by one, they were all going to fail. We were given some run around but eventually they were all changed. The beds were very comfortable. The house and furniture were well kept and very clean. It is the extras that require a lot of maintenance and we felt that these areas were really lacking. For our family, those were the things in the house which made is choose the property and spend more money then we needed to (because we didn't need so many bedrooms but wanted the extra fun things). We did speak with management and got a small refund, but it did not come close to amounting to the difference in price between a house with a golf simulator and bowling alley vs one without. The location of Solterra was pretty good, especially for Disney. It was close to many restaurants and a variety of grocery shops. Very close and easy access to the I-4. We did not use the main pool or lazy river because upon arrival they said that we needed to pay to have access. When I booked directly with Villatel, it was supposed to be included with our stay. So even though the fee was fairly nominal, I was off put by the request to pay more. I am unsure if I would choose to stay here again given all of the issues we experienced. Had it gone without the issues, I would have easily been able to give the experience 5 stars.

Feb 06,2024House is amazing. Plenty of room. Games are great. The game room was a real treat. Everything I expected and then some. The only issue I had is we paid for pool heat but it was cold the first morning we were there. They sent someone over to fix it but we lost the first morning so that was bit upsetting. Overall the management and home were really up to par.

Feb 05,2024The house has so much potential! I requested maintenance multiple times to have a toilet paper holder mounted properly--it never happened. There were several maintenance requests which very addressed immediately--fuss ball table repair, missing door stops were replaced, closet doors were secured. The bathrooms have too few towel bars and towel rings. The showers need shower caddies or shelves for shower items. The living room chairs are nice but the sofa is uncomfortable to sit upon due to its size and minimal height. OK to lay down on but not to sit. The website states extra blankets are in the unit. This was not true. We expected throw blankets to be in the unit. We have stayed at rentals where every seat in the theater had a special themed throw blanket. There was mildew in the shower. Baseboards in some areas needed to be clean. There were missing dinosaurs in the "dino room". There was missing wall art in an upstairs bedroom. Areas in the house needed touch up painting--especially door frames. We had some problems with the games working--but overall the games in the house were very popular. The pool and hot tub were very much appreciated. It would be nice though if there was a railing to assist in entry and exit of the hot tub.

Feb 04,2024Customer service was excellent. Our pool heat was not working and team worked to remedy promptly and had us use pool next door while repairs took place. Property was clean and comfortable and just right for our group of 18 family members. We will plan to return again.

Feb 02,2024This is our third time staying in Villatel and they never disappoint. The houses are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The amenities make it a wonderful place to spend time with family. Villatel gives incredible service, no request is too small and everything is taken care of promptly. Looking forward to returning again on our next vacation.

Jan 31,2024The villa was fantastic. It was spacious, clean and fun. The kids loved both game rooms. All in all the place couldn’t have been better. There were a few small hiccups with the Internet service which were quickly resolved and although we requested mid week housekeeping, they did not come when they said they would and by the time they were able to come it was really too late. This was disappointing. Nonetheless, the good far outweighed any difficulties we had. It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it.

Jan 30,2024Everything from sign-in to check out was automated and great. Appreciate the non intrusive touchpoints during the stay - confirming things were going good. The rental is at an excellent location, minutes from the universal studios which was the primary reason for selecting the place, however the place blew us over 8 adults 5 kids - still very spacious, kids loved the swim pool, game room and the open area within the home. Adults loved the home theatre and open layout, lot of privacy for every family at this big home. Highly recommended.

Jan 27,2024Amazonian Abode Stayed for a week in this wonderful 8 bedroom house. We have stayed in many houses across the Orlando area over the years, and this is probably the best experience we have had. Villatel did a wonderful job communicating all necessary information, and were very easy to get in touch with. There was a certain attention to detail in this house that is often missing when it comes to similar Orlando vacation houses. In other houses, amenities that are advertised are found to be lacking, whether it is missing remotes, broken theater chairs, missing billiard balls, inoperable arcade games, etc. That was not the case with this Villatel home. The arcade games all worked (and the basketballs were fully inflated!), there were 4 ping pong rackets and four balls nicely arranged on the table when we arrived (I actually brought my own rackets and balls anticipating that there would be some sort of deficiency), and the theater was great! One other thing that often goes unnoticed is bedroom storage. In many of the other homes we have stayed at there is often only one night table in the bedrooms...this one had night tables on each side of the king beds, which was helpful. Kudos to Villatel for actually getting the simple and obvious things right!

Jan 18,2024We (36 family members) spent 4 nights at the complex. We can't stop talking about the experience. We rented 3 homes. Family members ranged from 3 to 75 and there was something for everyone. There was never a wasted moment. The weather wasn't that nice but there was always something else to do. Having the pool in the back was great. Unfortunately, our home did not have a hot tub. Don't know why some have it and some do not. We walked the beach. Cooked great meals each night. Sometimes in the kitchen, sometimes on the grill. Walked the beach each morning. 20 of us went to the bar - restaurant down the street. The activity Director was great (Shella?). She kept us busy one day. Alot of fun. They were paving the roads while we were there which is a little disturbing but it had to be done. The staff was attentive to any of our needs.

Jan 14,2024The house was amazing, clean, and in great condition. The pool heat unfortunately wasn’t working and we couldn’t use the pool our entire stay. Each time we complained we were told it would be fixed, but We weren’t kept informed and the next day the kids would change and run into the pool to find it was still broken. When we reached out again we were told a part was missing and they couldn’t fix it until the part arrived. Unfortunately it wasn’t fixed until after we checked out. Since we expected pool time to be a major part of our trip, it was very disappointing that we couldn’t use it. I realize this may have been beyond villatel control but we should’ve been kept informed or offered a different home, or a discount. Our trip was pretty disappointing.

Feb 07,2024We have rented houses several times in Orlando area, and this was best experience we had. Very minimal checkout list, very responsive to any questions we had. Only downside was miscommunication about resort offerings. Many of the resorts have similar names, so I think they mistakenly told us there was a lazy river, which there is not at Solara. Not a big deal, the house was fun and had so many activities and it’s own pool, the kids never wanted to leave!
