Ordered in deliveroo, and the toasted baguette was rock hard, and my chicken salad baguette was not sent at all. The receipt had items crossed off, and that was left uncrossed. Staff are useless at Hornchurch, as this has happened so many times. I spent almost £20 and ended up with nothing to eat for myself. Wenzel Hornchurch train your staff better.
The inability of Wenzels to keep items in stock and ready is laughable! The store is normally half empty at around midday meaning the odds of actually getting want you want is really small. Pathetic management
Wenzels Radlett keep me up at night with there noisey deliveries at 2am in the morning.
Hitchin branch. So helpful; made a baguette to Order. Didn’t charge extra as I wanted the sourdough bread which they took off the shelf
I had a small issue with one of the iced buns which I returned back to them. The lady behind the counter understood the issue and opologised for their mistake. I was offered a refund or replacement. I exepted the replacement, which was perfect. The assistant dealt with this very professionaly and is a credit to Wenzels. Many thanks.
The Wenzels in Enfield Town is very friendly and the bread I buy is the brown uncut, very nice and fresh, and there stamp system means you can claim a free loaf every 10 you buy.
The new Poole store was eagerly anticipated by many. Unfortunately that eagerness has definitely waned. When they first opened it was great, good atmosphere, good food, good service. I don’t know why things changed, but I suspect it coincided with a new store manager coming on board. The food is ok, but I’m not joking when I say I watched this manager “javelin” a customer’s baguette behind the counter, in front of the customer! Unbelievable. I’ve noticed that morale must be very low there, as the turnover of staff is phenomenal. Nobody seems to stay very long before walking or being fired instantly. A friend’s daughter got a part time job there, she lasted 2 days and quit, probably because of the new manager, who doesn’t seem to like cheerful people, and I’m not going there anymore because I want staff to appreciate my custom and give me a smile as they take my money. I must be old fashioned (I am 60 after all) but come on Wenzels, this is absolutely not up to par! My advice to anyone reading this would be “go to Greggs” quite honestly.
Unfortunately 1st and last time, more in the bin than my stomach :-( Sausage Rolls inedible Breakfast Wraps bacon was terrible, do you call that egg? Pizza was welllll cooked - burnt Jamaican Beef Pattie well dried out hoping the cookie is better.
Charged eat in prices instead of take away. When I spoke to the person behind the counter charged me the take out price. Then I was told the first transaction was cancelled and would be refund to my account in 3 to 5 days. That was 11 days ago, and guess what no refund! I complained online no response. So I have had to contact my credit card company to obtain my £9.30. Avoid them like the plague robbers.
Wenzels is a poor mans Greggs. my mate Darrell works there and says this is his best job he has ever had. i however, think he is lying as he lost his taste buds due to a crack addiction back in 2018. Greggs for me
My first visit to the Poole store. A clean bright store quick service with a great product range baguette was super tasty!! Was served by Debbie amazing customer service even talked me into a cheeky cake!
First time having brought something from wenzel and last not very impressed. No meal deal on sausage roll and over priced for one. Coffee ok but cup leaked onto the having left it for a little bit, will have to stick with Greg's.
lovely staff and brilliant baguette and dessert. Definitely worth the price, would recommend to anyone.
Hey Everyone I am Regularly coustomer to drink cafe wenzels stannore .very good staff good service friendly specially Apeksha And sorina .Best cafe there
Wenzels West Drayton town. Sausage rolls dry and burnt. Tasted so disgusting I through it away. The staff are so careless they dont even care about the state of the food they sell. Dry and hard to bite in to is perfectly fine to them. Poor standards I can only guess their negligence in regard to food effects the quality of their staff hygiene. I threw what i brought from wenzels away and ate lunch at Kays Kitchen in west drayton instead where they actually care about the food and would be embarressed to serve up what Wenzels do. Utterly disgusting
At wenzel’s archaway, while I’m on the Que A guy enter the shop grabs few sandwiches from the fridge and walk out. The guy behind the counter didn’t do anything at all. Next time I’ll get free sandwiches instead af paying for it. Seems like you don’t care if you loose money
I'm not sure why negative reviews on here? Wenzel's are the best!! Lovely food, lovely staff! I will always go back! Thank you Wenzel's!! :) Woking store.
You guys need to visit Greg's and get an idea on how to run your business. How hard can a sausage bap be to make?!
They used to be good many years ago but now charge too much for stale buns or greasy foul tasting sausage rolls and pies. I have also spoken to head office who are rude and take customers concerns as a personal attack to what they consider to be an excellent product. “ Make them eat cake “!

Jul 08,2024Went in to get lunch for work. The lady said it would take more than 5 minutes to make a sandwich in the morning. I used to work at Wenzels and I can tell you I’ll do it in 30 seconds. Her excuse was “we have to slice the bread and then put the filling in”. You have a machine to slice it which takes 10 seconds.
