Apr 05,2023I have been going to Wenzels in loughton since it opened at least 2 or 3 times a week and loved their seeded baguette with chicken salad or chicken sweetcorn. However over the last few times of getting it I noticed the chicken mayonnaise filling amount has been reduced but about 2 week I got two chicken salad baguettes and they was literally less than half the amount. I literally had no filling in most bites just bread and salad. It’s possible they were running out of filing so had spread out what little they had. I had read some reviews and it had said write to customer services to give them a chance to rectify so I did, but they cannot even be bothered to reply to that email. Hence I’ve written this review so it comes to their attention. It such a shame such a great sandwich place has gone downhill and standards have not been maintained.

Apr 03,2023I placed an order online for delivery. I received an order confirmation and then nothing after that. I started to get worried as the delivery date was approaching I never received any message from Wenzels with tracking details or courier information. As I feared my order didn’t arrive, messaged the customer service team and no response. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Apr 03,2023Honestly....nearly choked - they are SO dry! says best before 03/04/24 - that is today. Jeepers...let me tell you Best before needs to be re-evaluated!! Absolute waste of money! I will never purchase Doughnuts from Wenzels again. Like coughing up a fur ball. (i would imagine)

Apr 03,2023Always get breakfast from wenzels. Soft and yummy baguettes and sandwiches. Now you charge 10p extra for butter on morning bloomer. Hence didnt ask for sauces as could be charged. So now its naked bloomer. Otherwise good food.

Apr 01,2023Wenzels drop to a new low instead of putting prices up they have made the sandwich smaller, I will not be going there again. All there interested in is maximum profit it does not cost a lot to make a sandwich , so why reduce size complete rip off.

Mar 15,2023The nutritional information on bloomer sandwiches states two servings! who buys a sandwich and eats half? Consequently the calories on it need to be doubled. Very misleading unless you look carefully. Wenzel’s sandwiches are 600-700 calories.

Mar 07,2023I purchased a ham salad sandwich from High Street Watford today. As usual I was not disappointed, they really are the best sandwiches around! So fresh with plenty of filling and well presented with limited packaging waste. I absolutely love these sandwiches! they are excellent quality for the price!

Mar 06,2023If I could give no stars I would. I ordered a box of Donuts well in advance as part of an anniversary gift. The money was taken from my account, but low and behold, no Donuts were delivered. Waiting to hear back from their customer service department with regards to a refund, as I don't want the delivery now as they were for a special occasion. I was recommended this site, but wish I'd read the reviews sooner as would not use them again.

Mar 04,2023Recently ordered two of the mixed Sandwich Platters from the Belmont Circle branch and I have to say they were the best sandwiches you could eat with very generous amount of filling. The staff and Manager are very helpful and pleasant. I would certainly recommend this branch if you are having a party and can't be bothered to make sandwiches as the price was also very reasonable

Feb 20,2023One of the best bakers on the High Street. Was gutted to hear that Wenzel's have discontinued their sandwich loaf - we've been buying it for years. PLEASE, PLEASE bring it back - it's the perfect size for making sandwiches and our whole family loved it. No other sandwich bread tastes as good!

Feb 18,2023Experienced abuse by the staff at the London, Kilburn high Rd branch. I hate to have to low star this store. However a newish female staff member who is extremely rude now works here. I think she’s a new senior-ish member and it appears the status of being in charge of a few other staff members has gone to her head. I’ve been using this store for many years though and seen dozens of staff come and go. The sooner this one’s gone the better! Update. I’ve just left the store and have to surmise two of these store staff are prejudiced. After having spent many years using this store I refuse to be pushed out by this new crew that have taken over. My grown daughter who is white skinned has no issues with the service in the store and whenever I go in with the same request/approach there is a definite hostility. Today I witnessed the same hostility, not only to myself but also to another store user of colour. I was able to record this on my phone and will be taking the whole issue up with the manager. There is no need for these staff members to abuse the customers because they work long hours in low paid jobs. I don’t expect that to be voiced to me when all I’m doing is purchasing food. The staff member today was screaming she’s worked a 12 hour shift. Is that my fault! And do wenzels really have workers doing shifts like that?

Jan 27,2023Today 8 am I purchased a challah loaf and a Belgian bun from Wenzel Ruislip. When I reached home both for these items were stale. I will not return again as a few yards down the street is a bakers that always sells fresh products. This branch has deteriorated . Almost £5 wasted and products fit for the waste bin.

Jan 23,2023This was my first time trying Wenzels and got to say, I prefer it over Greggs! I was served by a lovely young girl called Mariam who greeted me with a smile. So speedy when making my chicken salad baguette, deserves ever compliment.

Jan 11,2023Popped into Wenzel’s today in High Wycombe, I was served by Isia and Morgan, both were fantastic at customer service, there was a long queue as the store is so popular and both have a smile to each customer as they served them and apologised to the customers for the wait,it was hardly there fault. The company should be very proud of having 2 engaging staff and went above and beyond trying to help customers out with cake choices, they both got through the queue quickly and efficiently. Well done Wenzels for employing the best staff.

Dec 30,2022I regularly visit Wenzel's in Feltham Centre. I have never had anything other than an excellent experience. The food is always excellent. I especially like the tuna sandwiches. Fresh tasting and chilled filling. Superb! I am deaf and most of the staff know what l want, l sit by the bench and they sort my order promptly and professionally.

Hard to tell. The non-salad filling was far too thin and tasteless to decide. Cheese and Bacon Sandwich-Check photo of filling! on Facebook. Why not have whole rashers of bacon? Chicken was in the form of chicken mayo 60/40, but can you spot the chicken? Small Wholemeal loaf - yet too try. Pack of ring donuts and pack of 3 squares of mini yum yums.- Mmmmm sugar! but was doughy. Cream and jam mini sponge, at its ubd, but OK. M&S Food Hall across the way - Not just a 'Magic Bag', but an M&S MagicBag ( if they provided them)! Steer well clear of Wenzels for the experience I received.

Apr 09,2023I use the Wenzels on Golders Green rd several times a week. Their service is fantastic. Front of house you are greeted by a "Rylan"lookalike who is continuously smiley and super efficient regardless of the growing numbers of customers in peak time morning. Ably assisted by a team behind the scenes who seem to work at a phenomenal rate all the while keeping the ambience within the shop cheerful and professional. They make tailor made orders that are second to none. A pleasure to go in there knowing I'm getting a first class service. Keep it up .
