Jun 16,2020Don’t go near them they will only deal with you if you want a quote for something new. After sales is shocking my bay windows have separated and trying to get someone to come back out and fix them, they just not interested.

Jun 14,2020West Yorkshire Windows have always been very helpful with sorting issues in a speedy way. We recently had to get some spare parts and these were issued very quickly. I just wish they would be able to fix the “creaky” bay windows they installed.

Jun 08,2020We had a 3 meter by 7 meters orangery by this firm. From start to finish we have had a great experience. From the initial sales pitch to the surveyor to the fitters. This was a big project and cost nearly 30K. If you are thinking about getting an orangery please use these guys there are not the dearest and not the cheapest but you get a built for a decent price. They are very customer focused which is hard to find in the PVC sector Mr McGee Barnsley

Jun 06,2020If I could give no star I would. Absolutely horrendous service. A 6 week extension took over 6 months. Structural damage caused to our property upstairs requiring extensive repairs, builders drinking alcohol and urinating in the neighbours garden when supposed to be working. They sub contract out the work and clearly don’t care who they sub contract too. Appalling customer service and disguising unprofessional rude managers who don’t care about the customer at all. I was in tears repeatedly throughout this nightmare experience and due to the way in which I was treated by this firm. (I never normally cry)! A horrible experience. If this review helps stop just one person from using this firm I will be happy. Please please do not use.

Jun 05,2020Had a conservatory fitted 9 years ago was strongly advised to have small hearers DO NOT have these was told would fully heat and cheap to run, so expensive to run and do t let much heat out The roof started leaking not long after fitting They came out and took the piece off which they thought was causing it let all water fall all over my settee used sealant and left they have been doing this for the last 9 years Then a group of repairers came out and said the roof has slipped the locking plate was never locked at fitting allowing the roof to slip and warp all the frame and crack walls and lift windowboards Citizens advice advised that because it was built before 2014 we are covered by the supply of goods and services act 1982 which means if something isnt fitted correctly you can ask for your money back We have been fobbed off by many different managers, managers promise something and then leave The current manager offers s new roof and plaster cracks No compensation for ruined settee and all the numerous telephone calls snd emails he hasn't even seen how far the frame is out I WOULD HAVE GIVEN A MINUS 10 star if there was 1 Stay away dont have this company to do any work

Jun 03,2020We bought new windows, doors and a conservatory from them in 2004 and we were happy with them then. But trying to get them to come and repair my conservatory roof this year has been rubbish. Water was coming in and I asked them to come and fix it, they eventually sent some one after several calls and he said “ it’s not under guarantee “ I said ok, I just want it fixing I’ll pay. A date was fixed for 6 weeks later as he was busy. That date was the day of lockdown so of course it didn’t happen. They reopen and I’m expecting a call or email, nothing. I tried ringing but the answer machine said look at the website. There’s only a form for new purchases so I put in my details and hey presto, I get a call . After explaining I want them to repair my roof and not a new conservatory I was told, I’ll pass the message on and they’ll get back to you. Well WYW if you’re reading this , don’t bother! I’ve got another company to repair it yesterday. I’m looking now to replace my windows and doors. I won’t be going to WYW for sure.

Jan 20,2020Good service from the initial visit, then the survey and finally the fitting of the new front door. The staff were helpful, professional and pleasant to deal with. We are very pleased with the quality of the door which will improve insulation and security, as well as looking very smart. I can fully recommend West Yorkshire Windows.

Dec 21,2019I had a garage window fitted by WYW,'s, it had a white upvc frame but the Georgian effect squares in the glass were cream upvc, therefore unmatching and looked extremely odd. I was told this is how their manufacturers made all the windows and there was nothing they could do. After 5 months of phone calls, letter and email exchange Nicola Glover representing WYW'S decided to completely ignore my complaint. The only way to get the company to take any action was to do a charge back through the credit card I paid on. So after 6 months I now have the correct window fitted with a white frame and matching white Georgian squares. This company does not care about its customers after the job has been done and they have been paid . I have not had any apology at all. Avoid at all costs.

Nov 19,2019West Yorkshire Windows built my £22,000 orangery and still I have outstanding matters and this company refuse to engage and rectify 12 months on. It started with the builder filling a hole in the external brick wall with a lump of concrete rather than doing the job right and using a brick. I was told by the installation manager that a brick could not be used and he continued to attempt to fob me off with this excuse with his patronising unhelpful attitude. After much persistence and challenge the hole was easily filled with a brick as it should of been to begin with. A glass panel in the roof was clearly scratched and the bifold doors were badly damaged on installation yet the fitters neglected to point this fact out to me on completion and still installed the damaged products without a word hoping that I would not spot the damage which I had to chase up with the company several times. On eventually replacing a roof glass panel the fitters damaged the structure of the roof and once again neglected to point the damage out and just left without a word leaving gaping holes in the brickwork. The coping stones on the roof have come loose approximately 10 times now and the builder has had to return many times and secure them to prevent them falling off onto someone’s head. During the stones being secured a glass panel on the roof was badly scratched and the company now point blank refuse to replace and rectify this glass panel they have damaged without any explanation, they can’t even be bothered to come out an assess the damage they have caused. Instead they have offered me an insult of a £50 M&S voucher as a goodwill gesture and refuse to reply to my emails or calls. They replaced a damaged bifold door trim and in doing so drilled 4 new holes in the £5000 bifold door frame that did not need to be there (should of used the existing holes) and then used the wrong screws so the trim fell off the next day and we could not close or secure the door. A different fitter came out the next day and he could not believe what a mess had been made and had to fill and repair the door and fit the correct screws. In the roof the fitters have used excessive different colour sealant which can be seen overspilling in joints of the glass and looks like an afterthought bodge job with absolute no attention to detail again told by the installation manager this was acceptable. They have breached the contract we agreed and signed by not providing a building certificate that was promised. The structure was completed in November 2018 and I am still awaiting for the building certificate over 12 months on despite continued chasing and being fobbed off with “we will chase it up”. Having sought independent advice and it should take no longer than 2 months to get a building certificate on completion of the structure. I am also still waiting for documentation for the so called warranty. I have made a complaint and West Yorkshire Windows compliant procedure suggests they will make a decision on how the complaint will be handled in no more than 2 weeks, 2 months later I am still waiting for a decision to be made and nobody ever replies to your emails or answers the phone. The installation manager is rude, unprofessional and patronising with absolute no focus whatsoever on customer care or satisfaction. I have referred my case to the Financial Ombudsman and this is my honest open experience with this company and would welcome any comment they would like to make on this review as I can evidence all the above with photographs, emails and lack of any building certificate or warranty.

Nov 19,2019Brilliant service from the start with James visiting for a quote, he came across with another option we hadn’t thought of - which worked out wonderfully and gave us a little extra space. We are really pleased with our finished product. From the off the poor builders had a tough job with the very wet weather and unfortunately clay! But again thorough and tidy every day leaving our space as tidy as they could. All signed off ready for the fitters who again worked in adverse weather conditions but again they produced a beautiful space for us to enjoy our retirement. Then along came the plasters who finished off leaving us with very smooth walls not forgetting the tidy up man. All clean and tidy! Finished! Thank you all the team who kept us informed every step of the way with their very friendly and polite manner. Brilliant team you have there West Yorkshire Windows we has have great pleasure in recommending your company.

Jun 28,2020We ordered windows throughout for our bungalow. We had a few issues to start with but once we called the customer service team and spoke to the lovely lady called Nicola Glover , she helped use resolve the issues speedily and efficiently . Also Shane did a good job with the building work . Really pleased with the the end results!!
