Terrible service from start to finish for our new composite front door and new locks snd handles for rear patio doors. The front door was fitted incorrectly and the work on the rear door wasn't completed until several weeks after the scheduled installation date. Apparently the wrong handles arrived from the suppliers twice and each time, they didn't have the courtesy to let us know. Eventually they csmd to finish the work and look at the front door that wouldnt shut properly... The fitters this time were very helpful and pleasant... They admitted that the original installation of the front door was very poor and as a result it took then over an hour and a half to put it right. It took me several emails and multiple phone calls to get Steve to respond to me and even then he on several occasions misled me in terms of when the handles would come and would be fitted. All of this, after I had paid in full, mistakenly trusting them to complete the work quickly after we had been burgled. We needed to feel secure after our ordeal and were left in limbo for weeks, waiting for them to finish their work. Terrible company. Don't use them!
Cannot say anything negative about this company Quote was professional and reasonable Work was booked in at time to suit me Work was efficient and workers very pleasant Catered for everything I requested We’re also very helpful in suggesting company for replacing soffits and gutters Overall extremely pleased with everyone I dealt with
A reliable company. We were supported throughout the process Will use them in the future
Two Doors and a Window. Excellent service yet again from West Yorkshire Windows although there was a slight mix up over a rear garage door. The door fitted was not the one we had ordered although we had looked at it as a possibility but discounted on it as it was dearer than the one we had chosen. We were happy to keep the door and no extra charges were made.
First class job from start to finish. Good communication and a few minor issues on completion were promptly rectified. The icing on the cake is the 20 year guarantee.
Fantastic service from start to finish, wouldn't hesitate in going back for future business.
After 4 replacement panes of glass we are still awaiting a perfect pane, ie, a pane without either a piece of rubber seal or a noticeable scratch between the glass.
Appalling level of service after the impressive sales pitch and shiny brochure. I dont know where to start. Despite having structural drawings that specified how far away the patio doors had to be from the corner of the house, and a contract that tied us to this position, the building contractors (WYW refused to give me their name!) placed the 2.6m patio windows in the wrong place. Plasterers were on their way the next day when I had to call WYW and tell them the windows did not comply with the contract or structural calculations. Despite the contractor saying he had the plans 'on his phone', the 2.6m opening in the side of my house was placed based on 'a mark on the wall'. The windows were left in the wrong place, unfinished, unsealed, leaking rainwater and wind, and with debris posing a hazard to my two small children for a WEEK. 11 hours work had to be repeated and the patio doors were moved into their correct position. A large bag of rubble was left in the garden for a month before being removed. Despite me telling WYW that building control need to be involved before the works are complete on BOTH occasions, no inspection was arranged (despite it being listed in the contract). The private building control company that they arranged to do a retrospective inspection refused to carry it out, as they had not gone through the proper procedures. A retrospective inspection was eventually carried out by the local authority several weeks later. I had to take 4 days off work to sort out the remedial works, had to cancel my sons 4th birthday party as they were busy correcting the works at our house on the day of his birthday. I had to do my own quality inspection and tell them it was in the wrong place moments before the plasterer was due to start. I had to wait a week with a draughty, structurally unsound, dangerous structure. I had to chase building control myself for an inspection report. I had to chase for a month to get the debris cleared from my garden. And for all this I was offered £250 off the £4000 job. Will be reported to Trading Standards.
We had windows and a back stable door fitted by West Yorkshire windows on 6th June. The team were fantastic they arrived on time and worked so hard the finish on the windows was amazing so beautifully done nothing but praise they cleaned up and came back the next day with the same attitude wonderful so pleased with the new windows the house feels calmer and quieter thank u so much would definitely recommend.
Everything from the first meeting to the completion was excellent and we are so happy with the final result.
I had a full house done by these a few years ago & they were great, so when I needed more windows they were the first place I went to, BIG mistake. I called in the showroom and was left for 15 minutes with half a dozen people in different offices just looking at me & ignoring me. No one on reception with phones going unanswered. So I left and went across the road to Coral Windows who even opened the door for me.
Great service and communication with a very thorough process for everything from quote to survey to installation, and the the fitter was a painstaking perfectionist.
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Lee the builder started our conservatory when the weather was awful, he didn’t miss a day or do a short day etc. we had a full week off gales, sleet and rain and he just got on woth the job. We were updated and kept informed of what the next step was, started on time and it was handed over on time. Highly recommend :)
My experience to date with West Yorkshire Window has been extremely positive. They didn't try the hard sell (which I know other double glazing firms do) and they were very helpful and informative which really sealed the deal. The fitters arrived on the date and time they said they would. Very polite, efficient and tidy. While I do have a small snagging problem (following installation) I am confident that the matter will be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Unacceptable service, rude after sales service. These people are absolute cowboys and have no problem scamming people out of hard earned cash and leaving them with sub standard workmanship. Ten months later we had to pay a more reputable company to replace the window fitted.
We had used West Yorkshire Windows previously and recently used them again. The service was excellent from start to finish. The work was carried out to schedule. The workmen were polite and the work area was left clean and tidy.We would highly recommend them . February 2019
I have given 3star because of time/ project delivery. The initial agreed plan was not executed. I have had to complain and refuse what was delivered with several discussions on it before it was finally executed as planned. That was stressful to me as customer and the project timeline was extended greatly by month.
Excellent service and great quality finish. After recieving several quotes and lots of hastled I had west Yorkshire windows recommended to me who gave me one simple quote and no hastled to sign up. Fitted sooner than expected and friendly hastled free staff. Highly recommend and will use again.
I would definitely recommend West Yorkshire Windows, their service and staff were outstanding, they went above and beyond my expectations to ensure our conservatory was built with the minimum of stress. The finished conservatory is built to a very high standard, with beautiful wood flooring and great heating system.

Oct 29,2019Typical sales driven company focused on sales and tricks. Initially we were impressed by the salesperson. Seemed to offer us a high quality window (residence 9 or R9 for short) at a price that was in line with other quotes. The brochure we were given to look through was really impressive and we were very sure in ourselves of the brand of windows that we had been offered. Didn’t appear to be pushy. We left it so we could visit the sales room to view the product. We went into the show room And things got a bit odd. We asked to see the examples of the product from the brochure and the salesperson there (different man) marched us promptly to a window. The product looked entirely different - much cheaper and basic looking than the brochure. I pointed this out and he then he said ‘this is our own version of that product’. So I explained that the quote was not for this product and can we see what we have been quoted for. We were then shown an actual example of product which was hidden away, not on display. This seemed odd but we just thought it was a mix up and were really happy with the quality of the R9 product and left thinking everything was good but we couldn’t decide on the finish we wanted and requested that the salesperson came out again with finish examples. We the started to recieve pushy emails from Betty saying that they would only come out if I guaranteed to proceed. Then we got a £50 off voucher which prompted Betty to become increasingly pushy over its expired date. I mean, we are. It in the 1990’s anymore we all know that if I wanted you’d drop the price £50 anyway. And £50 isn’t a deal clincher of £4k windows! So the sales person called my phone and the truck started to reveal itself. I started talking about R9 being on the quote. It wasn’t! The quote was for the windows that we had been marched to at the sale room a totally different product from the one brochure that we had seen. We must have spent 20 minutes looking at this one brochure and seen no other brochure during the initial visit. However the salesman was adamant we had seen 2. I assured him we had not and we left it at that - a total waste of time. However, later I remembered, a second brochure had appeared in the initial sales pitch. Right at the very end, when discussing what colours were available. No doubt some little subtle change in language about the name of the moulding probably did take place that a customer would t pick up on. What an absolute con! I notice in another review in a different website that a customer was also midsole a door, signing off on something he believed was a different product and had to pay for 2 doors!!! The thing is. If this was all a genuine error and the guy believed he had sold me a style of door from looking at colours in a different brochure that was take. Out in last few minutes of an hour sales pitch Athens fine. But why is a different person (who didn’t know what we had been quoted on) at the show room taking us to a different window than the one we asked to see? And that just happens to be the same window as the one on our quote! And why am I getting pushy phone calls to sign off the quote quickly before I notice that I’ve been conned? Finally, the sales person was meant to phone me back to discuss next steps. The phone call never came. I wonder why? Avoid avoid avoid
