Feb 20,2025Used White Horse Energy a number of time over the last few year and they provided a good service but today will be the last. Previous deliveries have been fine where the driver had a powered pallet truck and we were able to place the delivery at the top of the drive. This time no powered truck (he said it was taken off him in the morning) so just wanted to leave on the road which wasn't acceptable to me. Driver was a nice guy but the delivery depot person wasn't very helpful nor White Horse Energy when I spoke to them. Asked for a refund which they happy did minus a chunky delivery charge. Wont be using again - plenty more wood suppliers.

Feb 18,2025Do not use this company their logistics fail and lie about issues. We have waited in for the 3rd attempted delivery and have now been rung and told they want an extra £200 to deliver to us. We live in a normal road with a bus route, builders yard and school on it. So far we have been told first time cars blocked the route so they didn’t come, next day promised and never turned up, 3rd time want extra money for ‘ special ‘ vehicle. To be honest I don’t think our logs exist and we’ve been lied to all along. We now have to wait 3-5 days for refund. Totally useless and unhelpful, never told us where our logs were

After 2 failed days of waiting in, the 3rd day of waiting in we were told they would only deliver on a special vehicle for an extra £200. We live on a normal road with a school, bus route and builders yard, the logistics company they use lie about access and times they will deliver. First delivery they said double parked cars blocked access, 2nd day delivery never arrived, today when we chased missing morning delivery they wanted an extra £200 for no good reason. Don’t listen to their promises of top service and delivery Despite their reply there is no restricted access to our home as there is a bus route , builders yard and school in the street and they have delivered previously on a large vehicle. I do not know why they continue with this spurious story of restricted access

Feb 18,2025I first bought these unbranded wood pellets in late 2024. Before I ordered them I contacted the company by telephone to ascertain if their wood pellets could be used for horse bedding. I was told they could, and that numerous customers bought them for that purpose, so I placed my order. The pellets arrived and I was very pleased with them. They broke down easily when mixed with hot water and fluffed up nicely to form a light, soft bed for my horse. When the time came to order more I ordered again, without hesitation. However, when the pellets arrived, I was disappointed to find that they were much darker in colour than the previous order, and when hot water was added the pellets they did not absorb the liquid and were, in fact, no use at all for horse bedding. I telephoned the company and advised them of the above, and asked that these pellets be returned as they were no longer fit for my purpose. I was told that these pellets were much darker than previously, and that they would not break down in hot water because they were now made from a different wood. I was also told that, if I wanted to return them, any refund would be reduced by £42 to cover the cost of return. I advised that any change in the wood should have been notified on the website as, had I known that, I would not have ordered. I returned the pellets and had no choice but to pay the £42. I was advised that the driver would collect them and bring another pallet on which to re-pack them and re-cover them with shrink wrap. However, on the day, no pallet or shrink wrap was provided, which caused huge inconvenience to the collection driver and myself, who had to load the pellets onto the lorry individually. I will not be ordering from this company again.

Feb 18,2025We have used Whitehorse for our logs for the second winter now and have had no issues. The Kiln dried Birch / Oak and Ash are excellent quality and perfect size for log burners.

Feb 17,2025Customer service was excellent changed the delivery day to one that suited me with no qualms however when the wood arrived there were far too many really thin pieces that you would probably use more as kindling. Do not think the majority is going to burn for very long as they are not what I would class as logs, not used this company before and think it is unlikely I will use them again unless they burn much better than they look like they are going to.
