Dec 09,2024Wood is good and burns well. Cut into sensible sizes making it easy to carry and fit in the burner. White Horse have changed their delivery provider since my last order though, which is a shame as that was the main reason for my repeat custom. The new company made delivery a right hassle compared to the old one. The new company didn’t call ahead to arrange a delivery day, they just turned up out of the blue. On my order I specifically requested a delivery with a powered pallet truck as we live in a hilly area with a steep driveway. The guy arrived without a powered pallet truck. He tried to drop it at the curbside (as if I can move 500kg by hand) until I refused delivery. After a few calls to the warehouse he disappeared. Someone else turned up later in the day with a powered truck and completed the delivery. Luckily I was in the house that day and able to be flexible with how much time it all took. Appreciate this is a courier issue but important to feed back so White Horse know what is going on.

Dec 09,2024Good oak logs. Simple delivery method allows a choice of delivery dates. Bought them because there was a Black Friday discount. First time I've bought oak and they do burn nice and slowly but the fire needs to be kept fed. If the fire gets too low it's more difficult to get restarted than with, say, birch logs.

Dec 09,2024Ordered on 27th November for delivery on 3rd December (so they said). Waited all day on 3rd, didn't turn up. Called and told there's been a delay, delivery on 5th Dec. Ok. Wait for it... no delivery on the 5th, another day hanging around for nothing. Ring again (notice who's putting all the effort in here?), told this time it will definitely be on the 9th. Call on the morning of the 9th after arranging to be in for the delivery - nope. In fact they're cancelling the order. Offered £20 credit towards something else but the nearest product was more expensive and a third of the quantity.

Dec 09,2024Product and service are excellent. The new transport company went above and beyond ensuring the pellets were delivered to the correct place. Pellets are to the usual high quality and it is good to see the prices coming down from the previous high level.

Dec 09,2024What I like about W.H.E. quality of products and plenty of choice. Dislikes are delivery times on more than two occasions not kept. The change of carrier and new to my area was the comment from the driver.

Dec 09,2024The product is good but delivery this time was very poor. They did not deliver on the day requested. They did not deliver on the day they said they would after staying around all day. Their tracking was very poor, so I was not sure when they we going to deliver the following day. The previous deliveries have been good, so this was very disappointing.

Dec 10,2024I had an extremely disappointing experience with White Horse Energy with whom I had many orders before. But now... I took a full day off work for a wood delivery that never arrived. Then another day they I had to refuse because they were too late as it was dark and rainy. On the third attempt I took the morning off, only for the delivery to be refused with the driver claiming the path to the delivery spot was at a slope, despite other companies successfully delivering many times larger pallets to the same spot. When I raised the issue, White Horse Energy refused to take any responsibility or offer a refund for the three failed deliveries for which I ended up paying £64 when I should have been compensated for wasted time from work. White Horse should be very clear about their delivery policies way before delivery and should respect and take responsibility for people's time and money. This lack of accountability and poor customer service is completely unacceptable. I would strongly advise against using White Horse Energy if you value reliability and fairness.
