Mar 19,2025Ordered a full pallet of Kiln Dried Premium Hardwood as I was very happy with my previous orders. What arrived this time however was not anything like the previous orders : the wood is not as dense as previous loads purchased nor as advertised according to the pictures on the website. In my log burner, takes an age to catch and does not burn as hot. Instead, the wood is spitting and goes out often even with a fairly good heat level in the burner. This is definitely a different 'hardwood' from previous orders and I'd go so far as to say its not a hardwood at all, more like a fibrous larch.

Mar 13,2025Great price for the wood. Unfortunately, my delivery was delayed. Despite being told I would get an update on my delivery on Monday morning, I had to ring them at midday to find out what was happening. I appreciate that WHE are reliant on their distribution company, but a call to say that they had no information would have been appreciated and would have reassured me that I hadn't been forgotten.

Mar 13,2025Beyond Dreadful. Ordered a pallet of pellets which were due to be delivered on Friday 7th March 2025. Everything went well until the lorry arrived. The courier told me the pallet wasn't stacked and wrapped well, and it was indeed tilting. He also told me their lorries were at max weight of 1tonne on their tail lifts - the pallet was 990kg. As soon as he got the wheels under the pallet he told me to get out the way, and thank goodness he did because the whole pallet fell from the highest point of the tail lift, and smashed to the floor with the electric wheels embedded in the pallet. I had to help the lorry driver raise the tail lift to free the wheels, and I then had to lift, move and stack 65 bags of pellets with two collapsed vertebrae (currently waiting on a second discectomy and decompression, with metalwork to go in later this year). On contacting White Horse Energy and proving pictures, their response was to offer to have the whole pallet collected and a new one delivered (with no empathy for the situation and effort to move the first 65 bags, having taken a day off work from a demanding and time sensitive job, and with zero assurances that the same issues wouldn't happen again). In the end, they didn't honour all the broken bags and only offered a refund of £14. The rep even said she couldn't believer her eyes when she saw the photos on email. Awful Company, the aftercare and customer service from a manager there when escalated by the rep was beyond abysmal - AVOID.
