Great service, prompt delivery, goods as described, would recommend and use again
I purchased a Panasonic TZ90 Camera from their website on the 2nd January which came with a case and a 16 Gb SD card along with a 3 year warranty. I was using my camera on the 24/2/2019 whilst on holiday in Prague when the camera suddenly developed a fault when using the zoom. I took the camera into the Bury store on the 27/2/2019 so that they could access it on the and they said there was a fault and it would have to be returned to Panasonic.That was on the Wednesday afternoon (27/2/2019), I received a telephone call from the manager first thing the next day saying that there was a mark on the camera as if it had been dropped. I assured him that was not the case so he sent it off to Panasonic and I received it today. there was indeed a small dent on the camera and the manager said that it had happened whilst it was in my possession and whilst in the case. Panasonic repaired the problem with the lens when zooming but I now have a camera with a dent in so obviously I am not happy.
The service I get in my local Wilkinson Cameras shop in Kendal is first rate. The staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful, and they're very knowledgeable too. They've always been just as happy to help me when I'm only seeking advice too, so when I recently treated myself to some new cameras and accessories, that's obviously where I went, and they were just as good as ever. They even said I could bring back the fluid head I bought with the cameras, as I wasn't sure if it would fit my existing tripod. The staff are a credit to their company. I've just been on to their head office too, because I wondered if they could order me some Rode microphones that aren't listed in the Rode collection on the Wilkinson web site, because the ones I'm after are studio microphones rather than video microphones, so not what Wilkinson would normally stock, but they are an authorised Rode dealer. I explained I prefer to shop locally when I can, both to support our local shops, jobs, and economy, and also because I prefer to use cash where possible. I got a rapid & polite response, telling me that if I popped into the shop, they would be able to help me, and that they might even be able to get me the Tascam digital audio recorder I'd also mentioned in passing! Needles to say, I'll be visiting the shop again very soon indeed.
The order was straightforward, and the delivery prompt. What more can you ask...
Firstly this is not an attack on Wilkinson Cameras but I do feel strongly that I need to voice my views on poor service.The following is accurate and not exaggerated! I purchased a camera to the value of £4100 last November and the transaction and product was fine. However earlier this month a made two request to part exchange the camera as it was unsuitable. I left it two days and had no reply so I emailed again and had a call from a lady saying she apologised and someone would ring me in the morning, but I got no response. Since then I have sold the camera to another retailer. Yesterday I purchased another Camara from Wilkinson Cameras this time for £4750. The used camera was described as, and I quote "as new condition and Mint. The camera arrived today but had two chips out of it and no cable for the charger. Given the cost and description of the camera I didn't expect this. I emailed the MD as I was so annoyed at my experience. I had a quick reply saying a lady would be in contact this afternoon, and you've guessed it. No one has emailed or called me. Despite spending over £9000 with this company in the past 3 months, they obviously don't value their customers. UPDATE To be fair to Wilkinson Cameras, they have been very apologetic and appreciate that their standards did fall short of what they expect. I would consider using them again as we all make mistakes, its unfortunate that I experienced two problems in short succession.
Was very happy with my purchased. Actually bought a telescope from the Preston branch and a new camera lens online with gift vouchers I received. Always happy using Wilkinson.

Poor rude service, bought a Fuji xt3 in September, it got caught in one shower only, dials start to stick then seize, went back to shop, they try to tell me I've spilled something on it. Bull So much for shoppi g local, will stick to wex in future always good polite service there.
It's reassuring to know that small camera shops are still trading and hopefully thriving in these days of the internet. My local Wilkinson store is one such shop and only a bus ride away. Whenever I have visited, I always get great service and impartial and knowledgeable advice. First class service
I was looking for a good solid tripod with ball head and found Wilkinson Cameras who had just what I was looking for at a great price. I ordered the Manfrotto 190 X3 and 496RC2 kit. I was kept up to date with delivery details throughout and I received my order within 3 days An excellent service at a great price, and I would recommend anyone looking for Photographic equipment to give them a try.
Amazing Service. I was let down by a major retailer and Wilkinson's came to my rescue and delivered a Nikon D850 with lenses the very next day! Even though I ordered after 3pm. I received a call almost immediately after clicking the online "Order" button and was informed that they would do their very best to get me the camera equipment the very next day. They came through for me and I was a very happy chappy! Will definitely use again and recommend A* service.

This is the second Wilkinson camera store I’ve been in wanting to spend in excess of £1000 on equipment and havnt even been achknowledged in over 5 minutes stood waiting. I would have happily waited if they showed any interest in me. Such poor customer service. Management need to really look at staff training. Furious having driver 30 miles to buy.
This is one of the smoothest transactions I've completed. Wilkinson delivered earlier than expected, were as good on price as the best I could find and the chap I spoke to on the phone was a delight to deal with.

My purchase was only a small one but despite that the transaction, packaging and speed was all good and all went according to plan. It was helpful to receive emails letting me know about progress. I would use them again.
Fantastic experience with this company. Was after a very sought after camera and Wilkinson's let me know as soon as they had one, and got it out to me as soon as was possible. Dealt with Alex a lot on their live chat via their website, and nothing was too much trouble for her. Top marks. Other companies should take a leaf out of their book.
