Nov 15,2024We traveled recently from the U.S. to Portugal and needed a car rental in Lisbon. My UK-based son recommended we rent through Zest, a company with which I was unfamiliar. I am extremely glad we did. We chose to book with Masterkings through Zest and got exactly the car we booked at a good price. Through no fault of Zest, the car Masterkings provided had two essentially bald front tires, one of which gave way and both had to be replaced for safety. Masterkings ignored both my report of the incident and subsequent request for reimbursement. Zest, on the other hand, was extremely responsive, apologetic and ultimately reimbursed me for the second worn tire after insurance reimbursed for the damaged tire. In addition, when calling Zest for assistance when the tire first was completely flat in a remote area south of Lisbon, Zest was able to arrange for roadside assistance within 30 minutes. Remarkable! I highly recommend Zest for its ease of booking, good rates and outstanding customer service when it really mattered.

From the very first phone call, they answered all my questions clearly and patiently, making me feel confident about booking with them. When travel day arrived, I realized I'd left my credit card at home—relying on Google Pay for everything. I reached out to Zest, and they went above and beyond to help me out. They contacted the car rental company directly and, thankfully, arranged for me to use my debit card instead, even though this was at the company's discretion. Zest assured me that if this hadn’t worked, they would have searched for other rental options in the area that accepted debit cards. The whole process was smooth, easy, and stress-free. No confusing numbers or language barriers, just a straightforward UK contact number and a responsive agent who was ready to assist. Thanks to their excellent customer service, I had peace of mind from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend Zest Car Rental to anyone and will definitely use them again in the future!

Nov 14,2024Well just rented a car and bought some kind of insurance through your website. But then I went to the car rental agency (sixt) to pick up the car (they stated that 3rd party insurance is void and doesn't cover anything) So why are you selling a product that doesn't cover any of your customers, this is based on the information provided by the (sixt) representative, so I've had to buy further insurance through them very miss leading in my opinion that's just me

Nov 14,2024There is a free 2nd driver offered on each booking through Zest. Unfortunately now my husband is over 70, we have been charged for that. I emailed customer service at Zest as not sure if this policy is same cost each time and they’ve offered me their help when I next book through them on which providers work out best for us. I’ve used Zest for years and they are the best.

Nov 13,2024Zest once again provided a fantastic service! Great website with clear & accurate information, easy to navigate & with all costs simply explained. The price quoted was very competitive with an extra driver included & I took the top up insurance for peace of mind again at a reasonable cost. Fontana were brilliant! I received a text from Athena while waiting for our luggage with clear instructions to find the petrol station on airport where their rep was waiting for us. We had expected to be bussed to their office to get the car so were pleasantly surprised with this service. Athena completed the paperwork quickly & then she asked us to check the car. It was a Focus as ordered (no 'or similar' situation as in previous times). It was clean inside & out & we couldn't fault it. Drop off was just as simple 7 days later at the same petrol station. First class service from Zest & Fontana!!

Nov 12,2024Easy booking, large choice of local providers in Portugal at good rates. Zest also offer excellent insurance options. Clear instructions for vehicle pick up and choice of options (toll roads, criss border etc) were given and check in was smooth and quick. We had no issues with the vehicle. I've used Zest before and have always had excellent service. Only once did we have an issue and Zest promptly followed up with the provider. No hesitation in recommending Zest.

Nov 12,2024Have used Zest Car Rental since 2009 under Economy Car Hire give exceptional service and provide good quality cars at a reasonable prices. Recently booked hire car through Click Rental Malaga Airport during October had real bad experience regarding damaged door lock and was charged for the damage to the lock on the vehicle which I thought was a scam by the Click Car Rental as when I returned the car there was no damage and the photo and video taken at the time of hire showed two small paint chips above the door lock which was not on the photographs provided by Clink Rental. Zest Car Rental where great and investigated the foresaid damage and gave a full refund after investigation. It shows how important it is to take photos and videos of the vehicle prior to taking the vehicle on hire and when returning the vehicle in the same condition as hired. Many thanks to Zest Car Rental and the team especially Jamie Sides for his thorough investigation and excellent outcome. Will be continuing to use Zest Car Rental for many years to come. Nov 11,2024Booked my car as I normally do. Collected from the car parking facility. No problem. I was told by the representative to return the car to the same place and if no one was there to leave the keys in the car. Got home to later get a bill for early return. So I contacted zest. They didn't care. Also my deposit on the car transponder. Was not refunded. Five weeks later and 4 email's still no money when they have had your money they don't care.

Nov 11,2024Cheap prices and good service. However, if they offer a car through Click Rent make sure to take a lot of pictures of the car when you pick it up. Othervise Click Rent will blame you for damages on the car.
