Aug 21,2024Very poor and not helpful in resolving issues in unnecessarily upselling from actual hire company when collecting vehicle. Overpaid circa £70 than needed due to overselling - be VERY aware, initial fee is enticing but overall cost was 3x the cost initially estimated. I’m not one to complain, but this has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. Not sure what Zest actually do (middle person) and did not answer the question put to them. I’d really avoid using. Following the response to my review by Zest, despite contacting their Customer Services department several times, no satisfactory response was provided. Having asked what service they provide other than a ‘middle man’, no response was provided. As a gesture of goodwill, they should have at least offered the unused fuel cost back - that would have left less of a bitter taste in my mouth.

Aug 19,2024Used in two separate occasions whilst in Canada. Cannot fault the service. Highly recommend the top up insurance. Used them as my Dad and I hired through then in New Zealand some months before. Used their top up insurance and claimed all the money back when we had a chip on the windscreen that we got charged for by the hire company so was confident using them knowing everything was covered. Would recommend.

Excellent step by step instruction on pick up at Faro, albeit a bit of a trek from terminal especially if you have small kids and suitcases in the heat, but well worth it. Staff very friendly and efficient with paperwork all in order.

Aug 16,2024I booked a car rental through Zest car rental for my stay in Los Angeles. The booking was with Thrifty car rental. In the booking with Zest, the booking included a free additional driver! On arriving in Los Angeles after a 12hr flight we caught the shuttle bus to the car rental depot! All was fine until I mentioned the free additional driver! Thrifty said there was nothing mentioned on the booking that had been sent to them and refused to honor the free additional driver! I tried to call Zest regarding the issue, but due to the time difference the office in the UK was closed! I took the car without the additional driver and called Zest the following day! They said they would get in touch with Thrifty to clear up the matter! The following day I rang Zest again as I hadn’t received a response! The said to go to a local office of Thrifty and pay the additional cost for extra driver $115 and I would be refunded the money when I got back home! Two months later and after quite a lot of calls and emails to Zest, I still haven’t received the refund! My next port of call is trading standards! I am not impressed with the customer support from Zest!!!

Aug 15,2024I use Zest car rental a few times a year and wouldn’t use any other agent. I rarely get an issue but when something has happened, Zest are so helpful and quick to resolve the problem. They include quite a lot in their prices so no shocks when you go to pick up the car.
