Aug 06,2024I've used Zest for car rental on my last 5 or 6 overseas trips, and have been extremely impressed. It has the benefit of having a UK-based company to deal with booking etc. (on my most recent trip, oir flight was delayed by 6 hours and I emailed Zest who informed the local company and confirmed within an hour that the late pick-up had been organised), and the lower cost of a local car provider. The free full damage waiver insurance also makes booking through Zest a no-brainer, as getting that from the car hire company can add about £200 a week to the cost of the rental. I'll definitely be using Zest for all my future overseas car rentals, and would recommend them to anyone looking to hire a car overseas.

Aug 02,2024I used to be a loyal and satisfied customer of Zest and was about to use them on two upcoming trips. However, my recent discovery about their insurance has completely shattered my trust. I found out that their Full Collision Damage Waiver (with Excess Protection) is extremely limited and doesn’t include single-party damage. It only covers collisions involving other vehicles, leaving customers vulnerable to exploitation by unscrupulous car rental companies. These companies can charge for pre-existing or minor damages like small scratches and dents, and Zest’s insurance won’t protect you. The documentation and FAQs provided by Zest are totally unclear about this critical limitation. This lack of protection and transparency is not acceptable, and I will not be using their services again. I urge potential customers to be very cautious and thoroughly enquire about the limitations of their insurance policies.

Aug 01,2024I’ve never booked through an intermediary before. It was great to be able to get the gap insurance at a reasonable rate as part of the process. You still have to be careful which car company you choose, and I had no issues with the service from Europcar.

We got a better car with the same insurance cover at half the cost of the main car rental brands, and collection was right in front of the airport Arrivals. The other great thing and the biggest plus of Zest is that they take away the stress and anxiety out of the experience and you know exactly what you are dealing with before you even leave home, in terms of Security Deposit, additional fees, etc. Being able to call Zest any time is amazing, they were even able to help me find the car rental lot.

Jul 30,2024I got excellent 1-2-1 communications from staff at Zest. When my initial contact was on holiday, another staff member picked up my queries immediately and sorted me out. I needed to upsize a vehicle as the number of people in my party changed. Zest sorted this immediately and gave me a few options to choose from.

George from GSP Rentals was a lovely man, very friendly, helpful, was waiting for us when we arrived with exactly the car we ordered. Dropping off was super easy too (once we’d worked out how to use the Cypriot petrol pumps!). A great experience and would highly recommend Zest.
