Oct 05,2024I’ve planned several trips with Zicasso, and they always recommend top notch travel agencies who put together individualized itineraries. Working with Zicasso eliminates research for me, and I get to work with people who intimately know the area I’m going to visit. My latest trip to Croatia was no exception. After several discussions with the travel agency we chose, we ended up with an itinerary that covered a lot of territory and that included history, culture, arts and great food, both on land and water. Guides were knowledgable and friendly, transportation was comfortable and safe, and a really good time was had by all. Whenever I plan a trip abroad, Zicasso has been and will continue to be my first call.

Oct 02,2024We recently traveled to Croatia after working with Zicasso. We found Zicasso through researching on-line. We learned that Zicasso offers custom planning services with top notch travel partners in the countries where they offer travel assistance services. The first step is that Zicasso asked us about our trip intentions, so we outlined our per person budget & time frame, and country of interest. They confirmed that they could help us plan our trip, so we determined that we had found a great resource in Zicasso. Zicasso then connected us with two of their travel partners who could help us. After they presented preliminary intineraries, we selected Natasa with whom we proceeded & planned every detail of the trip (except we planned our flights, also lunch & dinners and tips were up to us.) Natasa was terrific, always offering prompt & thoughtful answers to all of our questions. She was also able to anticipate what we might need. She was just great and was available throughout the whole trip. We had previously traveled on our own and often drove ourselves but we have come to a point in our lives when we do not care to drive in foreign countries. Roads are often narrow and parking is often very difficult & stressful! So Natasa arranged for us to be tranported safely & comfortably from each city to the next. Otherwise we walked everywhere! She set up all of our guides, who were absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable, fun and spoke perfect English, many speak multiple languages. We also made sure to tip our drivers & guides & waiters within the local guidelines. Essentially, we were very impressed with Zicasso & their teams. We would highly recommend working through them and look forward to using their services again for future international travel trips we hope to take.

Basically I provided a general itinerary that I was interested in and put in touch with two excellent travel agents who then competed for my business. We were extremely gratified with the company we chose but I suspect the other would have been excellent as well.

Oct 02,2024Our most recent trip with Zicasso’s recommended Tour group far surpassed any ideas that I had for our vacation in Europe. It started with several FaceTimes and calls with the company helping us design our perfect tour of Switzerland, Germany and Austria. While we have used Zicasso a few times now to find travel planning from our honeymoon to Costa Rica to the Highlands of Scotland and Ireland, this trip had every last thing covered for us and far surpassed our thoughts and wishes. Whether it was a private car to pick us up after our Rhine River cruise to carrying my extremely heavy suitcase up a staircase in couple of our wonderful hotels, we were cared for in ways I could never have imagined. Our tour company organized cars and private drivers/guides through the trip to unique and fun places both on and off the beaten path. We saw so many of Germany’s castles which included a private tour for the two of us at Neuschwanstein Castle after an early morning horse carriage ride up to the castle like royalty… we were the only guests in the whole castle!! Another favorite memory was gorgeous little Alpine restaurant in Germany with traditional music and food overlooking an amazing mountain view. Wonderful unique restaurants and hotels in each town we stopped. Our wonderful German driver guide proved to be a plethora of local information as well as making sure we had whatever we needed every step of the way. Our clearly carefully chosen private guides in each city were more wonderful and unique than the last with so much knowledge on each location were friendly and kind and obviously loved what they do. Our personal guide for our two days in Vienna was a petite ball of energy marching us through Vienna as well as ensuring we enjoyed a coffee and cake in full appreciation of who historically enjoyed it there before us. Our guide in Salzburg was truly amazing arriving in a beautiful traditional dress during the city’s founder’s day where we enjoyed a personal view of her beloved hometown. Each hotel was uniquely either quaint and/or luxurious with our favorite being our Garmish hotel and spa conveniently located in the old town and was so unique with a great breakfast included. Never have we experienced such service and assurances of care and safety thoughout our trips. We even had a personal phone and numbers in case of any needs such as changing a dinner reservation or just for a chat with our travel team reaching out regularly to check on us. Our travel team was amazing in every way and made this a truly unforgettable trip and also setting the bar very high for our next adventures! Another great example of the perfect fit made by Zicasso for our travel needs. I’m already contemplating our next travel plans with Zicasso to guide the way on pinpointing the perfect team to help us.

We had an amazing experience and can’t recommend and thank our agent and her team at the company enough. It was a five-star, highly recommended service. The excellent planning, with wonderful guides and an incredible driver!!! We were treated like family everywhere we went. The people, places, and food were wonderful!!! There are such beautiful Catholic churches in Croatia. We would not change anything!!!

Sep 03,2024Zicasso’s travel company arranged a tour that aligned exactly with our needs. We wanted a balance of history, sights, culture, food, beach, museums, and archaeology, and they delivered. It was a consultative process – the sheer number of options for islands and experiences can be daunting – and they helped us make adjustments after the first proposed itinerary felt a little too ambitious, without enough downtime, especially with two teenagers. Our agent ultimately recommended Athens and Crete, and arranged a series of private guided tours and transportation, so we had very little to worry about. The accommodations they booked for us were very nice and our guides were excellent. The tours gave us a great diversity of experiences, from the historical to the current, day-to-day, with some time for beach and shopping. Even the jet-lagged teenagers liked the tours and museums, which were just long enough, without going past their interest threshold. The amazing food was a highlight woven throughout the trip. From the first call through to the end of the trip, the team at the travel company was accessible and communicative, and able to quickly respond to unexpected changes, eg, the guide for one of our tours got sick and they were able to make a short-notice change to arrange another tour at the same time without missing a beat. I would work with their team again and highly recommend them to travelers who are new to Greece.

One highlight of the trip was an unforgettable kayak tour organized by Zicasso around the beautiful island of Naxos. The tour was nothing short of magical—our local guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and they led us on an 8-hour excursion that included cliff jumping, swimming in caves, and exploring remote beaches. What made the experience truly special was the lunch they arranged: a spectacular spread of locally grown ingredients, including capers, Kalamata olives, feta cheese, and freshly baked bread, all served on a secluded beach. The guides even packed a compact tent in the kayak to ensure everything was set up perfectly—talk about attention to detail!
