I built and maintain the Barn Owl Trust website, and in February 2017 we migrated from WP Engine managed Wordpress hosting to 34SP's free charity Wordpress hosting. During the enquiry process they answered all my questions very fully and completely, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We had some issues during the migration process, but the support was excellent and everything was resolved to our satisfaction. The hosting performance is very good - and the site now performs considerably faster than before. Since we migrated, we have had one other need to contact support (to roll back to a previous backup of the site) and this went very smoothly. I felt a bit reticent to bother the support team as we are receiving their service for free, but they were encouraging and reassured me that do not regard their charity hosting customers any differently, and want to offer the same excellent quality of service across the board. I have been very impressed by 34SP's quality of support and communication - you feel that 34SP really care about what they do, and their communication with us has been excellent. It's also nice to work with a UK based company in the same time zone. Their response times have always been very rapid, which is reassuring. As a web developer I applaud 34SP's willingness to support charities, who don’t have great resources in these lean times. The Barn Owl Trust were hosting with WP engine and struggling with their 25,000 visits a month cap, as their traffic was exceeding this by 40,000 and so they were paying hefty overage charges. 34SP's support has come at a good time for them. This also means that I can now recommend 34SP to clients who need managed Wordpress hosting rather than WPEngine – I always recommend managed hosting to clients who have mission-critical e-commerce businesses, as the staging and snapshot facilities are really useful, and this kind of hosting is much more secure. 34SP's service is easily on a par with WP Engine, and has the added bonus of being in a UK timezone. I feel happy to recommend 34SP without reservation.
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Support is personable and effective. I like the simple user interface and the 'Knowledge Base' is a great idea and has already resolved a few of my queries.
A very good hosting company, that is perfect for hosting my Wordpress site. The reliability is excellent and on the rare occasions where there are problems, the customer service is second to none. The response is quick and things are resolved quickly too. Seriously highly recommended.
If you are hosting WordPress sites 34SP.com is the place to go. Their WordPress hosting is specifically tailored to WordPress and has everything you need. If there is some thing you want they don't provide they are open to conversations about providing it. their support is awesome and their team are really knowledgeable about WordPress and not just the hosting platform. They are not the cheapest but they are definitely the best I have used in my 10 years of producing web sites.

Responsive, effective and friendly support from their support are the reason 34sp get five stars from me. I've been with 34sp for many years so don't have much experience of the competition. Currently there is no incentive for me to explore alternatives. Okay, there could be cheaper options around but the risks and workload in migrating to another hosting company probably wouldn't justify the small financial benefit
Fast servers, but the support team are slow to respond to email tickets. 24 hours in one instance, and 6 hours in another.
Recent convert to 34SP after over a decade with previous hosting company, so inevitably a bit of a learning curve with different server/ control panel set-up etc. That said they've been extremely willing - and more importantly, able - to help when I've raised a quizzical eyebrow or something's come off in my hand. Makes a pleasant change to deal with support staff who seem genuinely enthusiastic and engaged in what they're doing rather than merely working off a clipboard of pre-defined responses. Switching reseller accounts is always a colossal pain after a lengthy period, but absolutely no regrets about making the switch.
Fantastic in-house customer support. Every time I have had any problems they are on to it very quickly. One of the best hosting companies I have come across.
We are a web design company in Hull and use 34SP to host all of our clients websites. We use several of their products including VPS servers and Wordpress hosting and we are very happy with the service we receive. Their customer service has been great every time we have needed help.
I have been with 34sp.com for probably 15 years-ish now, during which time they have hosted several sites for me and I have recommended them to others. I don't recall EVER having any sites down due to server issues during that entire time, which is impressive on its own. I've made a few dumb mistakes over the years and have also had situations where I've gone to 34sp support when actually the problem was with the software I was using. They're very helpful and don't make me feel like an idiot. Even when I probably am! 7 days a week support is really important to me - and I really appreciate that they've kept tech support in the UK too. The service is well priced and genuinely great. Definitely recommend.
Our site has been hosted by 34SP for a few years now. Very few problems & when the were issues they were handled speedily by both phone or email. Staff are always very helpful. I would highly recommend 34SP.
I discovered 34SP in 2013, when I worked for a homelessness charity which had very little money. I was so impressed with their generosity and support that I've used them personally and for other organisations since and I've not been disappointed. The support side of things is the best I've experienced from a web host. My fear is that 34SP will be sold and the call centre will be shipped abroad!! Guys, please keep doing what you're doing!! Prioritising good customer service first always seems to be the best policy, so here's a well-deserved 5* review!
I've been with 34SP for about a year now and host all my WordPress sites with them. I have also recommended their services to about 4 other clients and manage their sites too (via the 'shared contact' feature which allows me to be a tech contact on their accounts). The core service has been reliable and I've not noticed any significant downtime yet. As a freelance web dev I find them flexible enough to work with, and the support team are knowledgable. Several suggestions I've made or requirements I've had have been implemented quickly. The company is small enough to adapt which is nice. The support was lightning quick a year ago, but is slowing a bit now, but still very good. I should qualify "slowing": 34SP are still faster to respond with a fix than any other web-host I've used (with the possible exception of a very short and expensive stint with a fully managed bare-mental Rackspace server, where support time-to-reply is measured in seconds and you get a back-rub for your money). As with any tech support team (in my 21 years experience dealing with hosting companies) you'll find those at 34SP who read the question posted, and those who kind of take a swing at the problem where maybe they should have asked for clarification. My advice is to be specific and friendly.
