Having been handed the task of redesigning and upgrading the club's website I found I also had to deal with a new hosting service provider. The club, Rosslyn Park FC*, had been on the 34sp platform for several years. All the office team had great things to say about 34sp and their support but they had only ever used them for email hosting support requests. No one had touched the Wordpress site for years. Added to this daunting prospect were 2 absolutes - launch the new site in a couple of weeks and keep it as a Wordpress site to avoid "re-training" the various ongoing contributors. My first few shaky starts led to inevitable problems and mistakes. Each of these was rectified by 34sp with an amazing response time. Their ticket system is great but they were also there on the end of the phone with a clearly UK-based support presence. Informed help and complete resolution varied between 10 minutes and just under 2 hours - I've never had service like this from any hosting provider even when paying substantially more from a corporate and day-job perspective. The 34sp team took the time to explain where I was going wrong so I gained a Wordpress / mySQL mini-tutorial as well. Not only did this end the need for further support calls it made me feel better as I was no longer working in the dark. I would have no hesitation in recommending 34sp and indeed have already been doing so. * founded in 1879 before rugby and football split codes Rosslyn Park, like many of the really old clubs, is a football club (FC) rather a rugby football club (RFC). My first website was hosted by 34SP.com in 2004. SInce then I have used a variety of their services including reseller, professional and business hosting accounts. I am by no means an expert at any of the hosting services and have little understanding as to how everything really works. Absolutely brilliant service every time I need it; including one night I was having trouble with a site and also had a date. The guy on the phone talked me through how to fix it (and sent a follow up e-mail) to get the site up and running again and made the date on time. Great to have found a company to build a lasting relationship with... shame about the date though!

I always get a quick response from knowledgeable and helpful staff. Who seem to be genuine tech / web people rather than customer services type, so you can talk easily and directly to the people who solve the problems. I'm not really a technical web person, but the team at 34sp explain things in an understandable way and if I can't fix it they normally do! I've been dealing with them for years now (not sure how many) and I normally talk to the same guys - which I quite like, as it builds a relationship and I get the feeling that they know about my websites and my level of knowledge, so it all helps.
Although I never had major problems with 34sp I have on the other hand caused a few myself with my hosted sites. The crew at 34sp have always been prompt in sorting out my mistakes and always communicate any delays in fixing the situations. The guys are always polite in their replies and are able to explain matters in terms that a novice can understand.

I first came across 34SP in 2014 when I was looking for an ISP that worked well with Wordpress. I read several reviews of 34SP, all saying it was one of the best in the UK for Wordpress, and so I went ahead and joined them. Everything was made so simple, and any questions or problems I had were dealt with quickly, efficiently and courteously. Then I discovered that 34SP offered free charity hosting and so I contacted them to find out if we qualified and if in future we could apply for it. It was a double bonus when 34SP verified our charity status, and immediately refunded the balance of our hosting costs for that year. I am so glad I found 34SP, and would happily recommend them to everyone.
I have been a loyal 34SP customer for nearly a decade with two reseller accounts and a business hosting account. For the best part of two years I had suffered really poor performances from their reseller service. This included regular downtime of my client's websites, wordpress incompatibilities, unable to upload themes, memory issues, php compatibility. It wasn't until I trialled a reseller service with another company that I realised the scale of 34SP's under performing service. I have now found out from their staff that the reseller platform is an old dog of a platform that can't be maintained, upgraded and is now due to be scrapped. They had basically palmed me and thousands of customers off with a grossly sub-standard service for years. If this is what they do to loyal customers then if you are a new customer thinking of joining them, then I would seriously reconsider. You have to feel for the great support staff at 34SP who have had to deal with all this nonsense for far too long.
I've had the odd issue with hosting over the years... who hasn't (I appreciate that multiple 9s is something that all providers strive to provide)? But the thing that sets 34SP.com above other hosting providers is that they go all out when it comes to resolving those issues. I often work through the weekend and try to push PHP and MySQL hard so when I push too hard or something goes wrong I'm on the phone or raising an email ticket and someone always gets back to me, and gets back to me with a fix and - more importantly - an explanation. The recent redesign of their own control panel is also lovely and everything I need is only a click away.
I have been a customer of 34sp.com for some 4 or 5 years now and I cannot recommend them highly enough! 34sp have always looked after us, and have always been on hand and attentive to assist in any query or issue I have had over the years. In fact my own experience has seen them help me way above and beyond the normal call of duty and I cannot thank them enough. As a businessman myself, I very rarely leave online reviews, I don't have time, and I don't expect a round of applause every time I deal with someone, but 34sp deserve that and more. Brilliant.
I've used a good few hosting companies and had some horrific experiences, for example with my site off the air for several days before front line support could bother themselves to speak to an engineer. 34SP have very good, UK based, support. The front line guys mostly get it right first time (not always) and you get passed to the back-room engineers quickly. They sort things quickly and are VERY helpful. For example recently, they have tweaked my Wordpress cache for me, entirely unasked, and then suggested other, simpler cache plugins. Having recently started a feature-film development company I required a web-site with associated company email addresses for staff, general enquiries, screenplay submissions etc. 34SP.com was recommended by a friend who works in I.T. My friend knows I am a stickler for quality service and that I prefer to use local and independent companies wherever possible. The 34SP.com guys tick all of these boxes. I have been a loyal 34sp.com customer for the best part of a decade. There are a multitude of companies that offer hosting, many of them at 'budget' prices. This is all well and good but what happens when the proverbial hits the fan? We all know that I.T. is great until things go wrong but how many of us are safe in the knowledge that, if there's an issue with your hosting, you have got a support team here in the UK to help you and stay with you until the issue has been resolved? This is the 34sp experience and, I can tell you, it doesn't matter which member of their team happens to respond to your enquiry, you are going to get the highest level of customer service that you could imagine. To be honest, I can't think of anywhere (not just hosting) where I receive such a high level of service and, so consistently. It doesn't cross my mind to look elsewhere for domain / hosting services. You might save money by buying gimmicky 'budget' hosting but you will pay a lot more in the long run when things go wrong. Give 34sp.com a try - I promise that you will find every word of this review to be the truth, if not, an understatement.
I really like 34sp. I am not technically minded and although I have a few websites set up there is plenty I don't understand or forget how to do. I have been able to ring these guys pretty much any time and they always have plenty of time to talk me through with a friendly manner even with things that are not technically earning them money. For instance I designed one website on Wix without realising I would have to use their hosting. 34sp talked me through exactly how to swap my hosting away from their own. They are totally customer minded, are great value for money and have a callback service if you'd like them to call you. I've recommended them to many of my friends. They even have feel good and funny music if you are on hold, I wish more companies ran like them. My verdict ... 34sp = good egg. Sally Long

I had not had very good experiences with other hosting companies and when moving to 34SP I have to say it was a leap into the unknown as they were finding their own feet at that time. However I have often said to business associates that I would never contemplate moving away from 34SP and indeed have encouraged many of them to consider using you the next time the opportunity comes around. On countless occasions over this period of time they have always been there to help with any issues I have been troubled with but much more important than that is the fact that they have also helped on many occasions when it was not in their remit to do so by providing me with the benefit of their own knowledge and experience to help with my issues. I am not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination but having been completely self taught then to know I can always rely on 34SP for "bend over backwards" support is absolutely crucial for my business.
