Alan Boswell have been providing the motor vehicle insurance cover for my various cars since the mid 1970's, the provison of the cover required by myself and of the customer service has always been 1st class and excellent and I highly recommend the company.
Sadly I had to make a claim but I have not received good advice. I therefore had to seek a solicitor to deal with section 21 in the end. They only offer telephone advice service and I needed legal advice in writing as I suspected my letting agency had made a mistake. I was dealing with Dave Wilson who said he could only deal with this case after the section 21 had expired. I needed a complete service not 1/2 a service. I was was very disappointed I have another propery covered with yourselves and I hope I won’t have any problems there if I have to make a claim

Fortunately, we have never needed to make a claim. But we have always felt that we have been offered the best cover for our needs.

Dear Sir I would like to make a complaint about John (Landlord insurance) I spoke today on the telephone. he was rude and unhelpful when I asked him to speak to someone else he said i am the manager and did not provide for me any choice to speak to someone else he kept asking me questions ,He was not helpful I would like someone else to speak to as i am not happy to speak to him anymore

They give you ample to time to look over your chosen policy, and they are good at being competitive with their pricing; however they got important details wrong on my policy, but this was quickly rectified.

We've insured our self-drive hire business with Alan Boswell for the last couple of years due to their simple hiring process and competitive pricing. We never needed to make a claim so hard to judge how good they would've been to deal with for that, however communication the rest of the time has been pretty awful. When we came to cancel our policy due to closing the business it took 2 weeks to hear how much a refund would've been and then almost another week to actually get the money back in our account. We had other insurance with other brokers who told us instantly how much the refund would be (and they were also only brokers, which was AB excuse) and we had the money back in our account within 3 days of asking to cancel.

Apr 09,2025They sent me an actual hard copy of my insurance which I so like to read as being older is what I am used to. Also they had compared it with my previous insurance and this was cheaper.
