My SIM took a long time to arrive by post, when it did arrive i had to phone Asda to set it up for me they were very helpful and pleasant. It has worked perfectly great coverage

Very very bad sim of Asda. I have received my sim 1 month ago and still yet my account is created. When I am creating account it show me your account is blocked. You can contact with costumer support number. When I am calling they are asking about my personal information sim authentication code and then say me you can try 2 days after your account will be creating. I have tried many times but, my issue is not solved they are just wasting my precious time. Now I Will be buying another sim from other company.
Bought a PAYG SIM from Asda Mobile - arrived quickly and instructions were clear. SIM worked fine - the problems I had were with the Asda Mobile website. The instructions said to create an Asda Mobile account and link it to the phone number but the code needed never reached my phone. Customer services were very good and sorted things out. Later I had a problem that I could only login to my Asda Mobile account by using the password reset option - inconvenient but it worked.
Still havenβt received sim this is the second Iβm waiting for.

Takes soo long to send a SIM card out when you order one ,should be next delivery ,once the same card came it fell to pieces when inserting in the phone ,so had to order another one the customer service is very helpful though .

I had a lot of problems trying to buy a SIM from their website, as it kept sending me round in a loop. I tried 3 different browsers, making sure extensions that might interfere with the process were disabled. There are several other mentions of this issue in other reviews on here. After trying for about 20 minutes, eventually it worked. The SIM arrived in 3 working days, which is fine. After inserting the SIM and turning my phone on, I received a text welcoming me to Asda mobile and asking me to complete my registration online. However, I am unable to activate my number as when I try and register it on the website, it tells me a code has been sent, but it doesn't arrive. I have tried 3 times and made 100% sure that I've entered the correct phone number. Again, there are other people on here mentioning the same issue. Finally, it seems that it will only connect to 4G where I live, despite the coverage checker saying that 5G connectivity should be "good indoors and outdoors". One of the main reasons I wanted to switch to Asda is because my existing provider doesn't offer 5G coverage in my area. My phone settings are correct and it's set to prefer 5G, so that's not the issue. All in all, it was quite a frustrating and disappointing experience, but at least I'm only out a fiver. I need a reliable service as I have no landline, so I'm going to stick with my current provider.
The price is great and the sim card arrived in time stated. but the website kept crashing so I had to keep closing it down and reopening it
Sim only contact, saving me Β£30 a month, it was very easy to change over. And when I got stuck the customer service was brilliant, they were curious, perlite and very helpful, 100% for this. Set up direct debit so payments come out monthly and they send a reminder via text of when payment is due. So pleased I changed over.

Jan 25,2025EDIT: If you are a potential customer, please note that I politely asked Asda not to respond to this with the usual, "Your issue is important please reach out .. etc", because we have all tried that. Guess what. Same standard response. They don't even read these reviews. _______________________________________________ Your website has been broken for weeks now. For new users (many have complained, some have binned their SIM in frustration) it is impossible to link the SIM to the new account. One is redirected to a 401 page or "Sorry you are forbidden from accessing this page". I have been trying for two weeks and just tried again - same result. Your Support and Complaints staff can only refer the issue to Back Office. Is anyone alive in Back Office? - you should send someone to check. I am worried for them. In the meantime you bombard us (from no-reply addresses of course) with reminders to link our SIMS to our accounts. We wish. Utterly hopeless. If you respond to this Asda, please don't use your standard reply asking me to reach out to customer support to deal with my issue. We have all done that, often, they are very nice and tell us that they would love to help, but can't. The website is broken and they have no power to fix it.
