Asda mobile is fine and good value but the app fails to work trying to update from a pay as you go to a sim only contract. I have had numerous phone calls and all the different attempts to complete the new contract but it just will not link a mobile payg account with other Asda accounts still trying no hair left...
New user so still trying out but so far the service has been extremely good and sign up was simple and quick. Customer service was very good.
At first I was haveing trouble with the web page, a call to asda customer services and a fantastic lady picked up my call, helped me through the process and was extreamly extreamly helpfull.
to start i never go the sim i orderd then had to wait untill another sim arrived with no data or anything on it cobsidering i had already paid money for this i then had to phine up multiple time to get it sorted eventualy
Unable to set up new SIM and help very slow
Easy process ordering a sim online and setting an account up 👍
Deal I applied for was 25gb for £5.99/nth but sim I received said 25gb for £13/mth
Everything went very well from beginning to end. Helpful and informative staff a real positive throughout the whole process. Now up and running.....Happy days.
Problem with the site as when it was confirmed that I was now a customer I would be transferred to the app, but this didn't happen. Rang customer services and they sorted it.
I bought a new phone and needed a smaller sim as the one in my old phone was too big to fit. I called your service center and the guy there understood and sent me a new sim and told me to call again when fitted and the operator then did everything necessary to transfer my old sim number to the new phone and was up and running the next day.
Good excellent
No sim, second order, still no sim and now being charged a DD for a service i haven’t actually activated. Five / six calls to customer services, sort of helpful, mostly not helpful, but still no sim. The customer service email is a waste of time. Emailed once, three weeks ago, still waiting for a response. Emailed seven days ago and got a response after 5 days - they say they will reply within 72 hours. Don’t fall for it.
The app is dreadful to use. They need to take a leaf out of Tesco mobile app book.
Can not register my number
SIM card did not arrive
Very good went all 👌
I am writing this review for anyone not sure whether they should consider taking out a contract with ASDA mobile. Overall, I have had a reasonably good experience so far but there are a few things to know before making your order. Ordered a 24 month contract SIM on Oct 13th, I get 25GB, UNLMD txt and calls for £5.99/month. A really good deal. Received SIM on Oct 16th. Next day I requested number transfer on ASDA website, entered my PAC code from previous provider and my number was ported over on 18th Oct. So pretty fast setup but just make sure you leave a couple weeks left with your current provider to leave time for transfer. I live in a small town, semi-rural area. Phone calls, texts and internet signal is decent to good. Check on Vodaphone website for coverage before ordering. I also get 5% of my bill back in my ASDA cashpot and rollover any unused data for subsequent months which is brilliant. So... now for the cons.. (or 'the catch'): 1. First month calls and texts work great but you only get 5GB of data until they load your full allowance for following month. A minor inconvenience but might be a big deal to some people who use a lot of internet or need their phone for google maps, etc. You will need to use wifi for first month and be careful with how much data you use. 2. Internet signal can be patchy sometimes but I live 30 miles away from a city so it's expected with any provider. 3. Direct debit doesn't appear to work so each month in order for me to pay so I have to put my card details in manually every month, and bill usually doesn't appear in account till a few days after it's due. App doesn't appear to let me pay so I use website instead. I get a text when payment is due. Been with them for just over 2 months and service appears to be running smoothly so far.
Delivery was fast & neteork reception is vgood.
