Sep 08,2024Overpriced and hard to work with company. The movers themselves (that showed up) were great and very speedy, but when only one mover showed up the company was not much help at all. The one that did show up needed up getting some of his friends to come in order to get the job done. When I talked with customer service I was told they would take time off my bill (since for 2 hours there was nothing being done) but they did not. And when I reached out they said to just wait for the price to change. Do not recommend this company at all.

Sep 05,2024If I could give negative stars I would. Initially when you sign up for the move, they inundate you with emails, calls and texts. I finally had to tell them I hired them to move me from A to Z and would touch base with them the day before the move. They showed up that morning on time. According to one of the movers, they are contracted so they may work once a month or whenever. So, they have no vested interest in the company or the customer. With the exception of the truck driver, they all drove their own cars. One of the movers drove across our lawn and over the septic tank. We had to yell at him to get on the driveway. He told us "Most people have no problem with us driving on the lawn." I lived in an upscale neighborhood (not that it should matter) and told him we do mind someone driving on the lawn and the neighborhood I was moving into also minded. To make a long story short, we needed two full trucks. The movers just threw things where they liked when we arrived at the destination. We initially ended up missing 2 guitars, jewelry armoire full of jewelry, a golf bag and clubs. As time progressed, we were missing several other items. I called the next day to ask Bellhops if they could touch base with the movers to see if anything was left in the truck. They told me there was no way to do that. You're kidding right? Just one day later? To make a long story short I am missing additional items. It's not just the money but sentimentally these items are irreplaceable. I guess I should have jumped in the trucks to make sure they were empty. I didn't even want to make a claim initially just have them check for the items. You have to file a claim within 5 days and Bellhops gave me a grand total of $137. I have lived in 13 states and overseas and my last move was from the west coast to TN. Not one thing was broken, damaged or lost then. This was absolutely the worst moving experience of my life. And good luck getting someone who doesn't have English as a second language. I will never use them and never recommend them. There are much better companies out there.

Sep 03,2024Everyone on the entire crew was amazing- the driver and both the loading and unloading crews were efficient, professional, and friendly. I moved 14(+) hrs and not a single item was broken during the move. Bellhop customer support was always readily available and helpful when needed. I will definitely be using bellhop in the future!

Sep 02,2024The young men who did the work were fantastic. They had great attitudes, were careful with packing items in the truck, were fast and courteous. The back office operations were poor. There were problems making the order online, so I had to call. That was overly complicated. Then they send you a QR code for your job…it didn’t scan properly. There was confusion as to whether the job was a “load only” or “full service” (includes unloading at new location). This was all conveyed during the order process, but the back office people tried to increase our rate in the middle of the job. Spent a half hour in the middle of the job trying to straighten out over the phone. Summary: workers provided were great, company is suspect.

We were prepared for the move to take about 6-8hrs but honestly between the loading/unloading and the drive, the drive to the new place took longer. First time using a moving service, was not that expensive and the whole process was easy to schedule.
