Jan 04,2022A simple and wonderful experience! The whole process was easy from the get go. I love that we could easily navigate the loan and mortgage process without needing much help. However, the Better team was always there for anything we needed or questions we had. The team we worked with were all so friendly and knowledgeable. Our loan officer Olivia was awesome! We felt confident the entire time that when we found our dream home, our loan was in the best of hands, and it was! We found our home and are so glad we chose Better for our loan and mortgage needs.

Jan 02,2022Everything was going well until they laid off my processor. They assigned a new one to me who was incompetent. He couldn’t care less and it was nearly impossible to communicate with him. The day of closing we found out the numbers weren’t right. He didn’t respond for hours, then finally responded saying he was working on it. The closer stayed until 7pm waiting for better mortgage to fix the mistake. He became unresponsive again then I found out he went on his break as everyone else was working overtime waiting for him to fix his mistakes. I then spoke with his manager who fixed everything very quickly but I still wasn’t able to close that day. I had to close the next day which means they wasted titles time and they caused me to waste time and money. I literally had a uhaul full of my furniture ready to move in! They offered me a lower rate but I still had to pay about $5000 more in closing costs then my FINAL closing disclosure said.

Jan 02,2022Mortgage broker services is an industry that is in need of an update and Better.com has found away to revolutionize the whole process. Their digital platform is easy to work with, just upload the requested documents. Their staff is knowledgeable and provides updates throughout the process. Their rates are the lowest and they don't tack on any fees like most brokers do saving hundreds or thousands just upfront. Getting a mortgage or refinancing shouldn't be as difficult or costly as most mortgage brokers make it. Better.com is making the process more efficient and passing the savings on.

Jan 01,2022The Better online application let me choose my best option and quickly attach the documentation they needed. All the document copies were easy to upload and their system gave instant feedback. The tool was a little like a game where you are ticking off your tasks and feel like you want to win if you can answer the questions and move to the next. Also, the system emailed me status and the loan officer kept in touch and helped me when something was stuck for a new question. Honestly, I couldn't believe how fast this process was, and there was never something wrong that made me wonder if this deal will go kaputs, which happened with competitors. I looked up the reviews of this company to be sure this was all legit and was very pleased with what I found.

Jan 01,2022Closing was delayed couple of times because of wrong numbers. After emailing multiple times the numbers were still not corrected. In the end I had to settle for more cash out than I wanted just so that the closing does not move again. Never seen just incompetence. Will never do business with better again and will tell everyone about this experience

Jan 01,2022I had a 5 month refinance that didn’t go through and it was terrible. Working with Better was a total different experience. Max was fantastic and when he wasn’t available Megan and Shakira were magnificent. I can’t tell you how greatly I appreciate the work they did. My only issue was a second appraisal I still don’t understand why I needed it. I loved being able to check my dashboard and upload documents. I could always call to get answers minus one time. They were honest about what they knew and and didn’t know.

My home advisor was exceptional and very knowledgeable, keeping the process moving forward. Great availability for questions and phone appointments. Closing was convenient and 3 weeks ahead of target date!

Dec 31,2021Worked with Elizabeth during the purchase of our home in California. Being a jumbo loan, there were many more formalities to go through and complete. Better Mortgage made it very easy for us from the very beginning. The process was very smooth and Elizabeth was extremely helpful throughout the process. They helped us close the escrow on time ( in fact couple of days ahead of time) Would recommend Better Mortgage to anyone looking for financing options.
