Literally too many problems, errors to cover. They had all initial docs within 12 hrs of request. Told all looks great. Purchased over 30 properties over the years. Never had a more disorganized, constant changing financial numbers, changing requirements. With only a week or so before closing they required new, completely different documents impossible to attain before closing.
Everything went extremely smooth. They had all the technology that I was able to show my equity in my home and upload all of my home photos to which helped us avoid an appraisal. The people working on my application, underwriting and closing were extremely responsive and helpful!

My loan processing coordinator, Sanam Parwani, was extremely helpful and available when I needed help throughout my entire process. I think Better’s task system can be improved (it gave a few non-actionable feedback when submitting documentation), but the humans in front of the software (including Justin No) made up for the experience
Switched to Better only two weeks before closing and we were able to close on time! Better gave me the best rate of the market. Sanam Parwani with her team did an astonishing job, they were working with me everyday to make sure everything was in place. I’ll definitely work with them in the future!
This is my second loan through Better.com. I was fortunate enough to be assigned to Kamaria who was so pleasant to deal with over the phone, but also was incredibly compassionate and understanding. The process of purchasing a home is stressful and I felt like Kamaria really made me confident that everything is in good hands and will be taken care of quickly. She has consistently been super fast and professional. I really have enjoyed working with everyone at Better Mortgage, and Kamaria was just icing on the cake. Bryan was great, very personable and responsive. There was a hiccup with some of my debts not having the correct balances, but he helped me straighten it out in time for my closing.

I was shopping around and what made a difference in my selection was the communication since the initial contact with Adrian, LO, there was a lot of explanations, follow up and communication. It continued with Michael. I was under a time constraints to get to clear to close and Michael made it happen! I made sure I played my part with anything needed and He was very diligent and we communicated the whole time. Great experience!

I had 2 main representatives who remained constant with communication and updates. Alex and Chantel were a dream to work with. I prefer written exchanges, and they were more than accommodating with emails and texts. When I didn't respond in time, they would follow up with calls. The website is so ideal for managing the loan process. Rates are visible to you with all the possible dollar amounts. I changed the rate that caused my payment to go higher, and Alex called me right away to confirm I meant to do that. Uploading docs was easy and they are reviewed promptly, with notes added for any updates needed. They have tasks that prompt what to work on next, and follow up emails for items not completed. I wish all transactions were streamlined like Better Mortgage.
It was all done via email and over the phone except the closing. I didn't like that when checking the box to have a credit card paid off they would send you a paper check you have to mail in. That would have been a nice thing to know at the time, how it would be paid. I would not have checked the box. I didn't like that I had to pay $550 for an appraisal that I didn't need and it wasn't refunded until a month later and now I have a credit on my credit card account. I paid for the appraisal on May 27th and it was refunded on June 25th. The timing of these events weren't good and information was lost in translation on these points. I even asked about the appraisal with Tim over the phone and he told me it would be refunded since it wasn't needed. Why it had to wait a month, I don't understand.

All the requirements are thru website and easy to complete the tasks assigned to me. Also getting personal update from Bryan was very useful.
I was really impressed with the professionalism of the Better staff. They kept me up-to-date on the status of my loan and we’re clear about areas that I needed to complete. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had and I’ve done more than a few refinances.
