While initially there were a lot of phone calls from this company to secure our loan and get us as customers...once our rate locked no phone call, no call backs....the loan officer who called me 3 times a day is gone...she never answers the phone or calls back even after scheduling a call with her though their website. So only respite is to call their customer service directly everytime
I have refinance twice with better and it’s been a 10/10 both times. Wonderful company with great rates.
We decided to give Better.com a chance after a brief web search as we needed to secure a lender (aggregator) that could work efficiently for us as our home buying plans would almost certainly be done while on a 5,000 mile journey. We began my placing a call and explaining our situation and needs. In less than 15 minutes, we had established an account and were able to generate the much needed “Loan Approval Letter” that would spearhead our efforts to secure and close on a home. That was mid May. After unsuccessfully bidding on one particular home, we found another better home on June 17. This was the day we reached back out to our loan manager to alert him that a contract may be imminent. Today is July 22 AND WE JUST CLOSED!!! To our delight, this entire process, including ordering and executing the appraisal and home inspection as well as processing all the paperwork required by underwriting, took basically ONE MONTH!!! This is unheard of speed and efficiency. We have nothing but the highest of praise for Justin No and Izaak Kasimov for their roles in making this happen. The entire experience exuded professionalism and military precision and efficiency. Fans for life!
Robert L. ( Loan Officer) and Brieauna W. (Senior Processor) got things done quickly and I was able to close and got funded within 30 days! Super happy with the job that they did. Robert was always available to answer questions and provided guidance through out the process. Brieauna was very professional and kept us updated during the process. Better.com ‘s portal was extremely efficient and easy to navigate to upload required documents.
The loan processing was fully digitized and the interface easy to use. The team was super efficient and provided updates every step of the way. Closed loan in 8 business days and the funds were accessible in 2 business days. I was very pleased with the service.

Overall very pleased with my experience. Great communication, prompt responses to my questions, and a transparent list of tasks remaining to close the loan. Mortgage rate was excellent too. However, my only complaint was that I requested a float down well in advance because rates had dropped but was told suddenly that it was 'too late' in the application process to make any adjustments after they continued processing my loan anyway. But again the original rate was great. I would not hesitate to use Better again or recommend them to anyone.

The staff at all levels were highly professional and knowledgeable about the company's products. The process seemed quick (30-45 days). However, the application seemed to require considerable amount of repetitive data entry on my part as a consumer.
Casey was perfect in initiating the loan and getting it to the next stage, he was very helpful answering questions and seeking action when I needed help. Rosa presents as a new employee, not confident in the process and appears to have communication deficits. There were points where under strict time limitations she did not communicate effectively with the escrow office sending documents to an unverified email address, and instead of communicating with escrow I had to call both sides to get any action. Documents were sent late, funding was not smooth. Could have been a lot less stressful experience.

Jul 31,2024Pros: The task system is very straightforward and easy to follow. The upfront communication is very good. Cons: When questions arise, getting answers -- or even a response at all -- is very difficult. It took repeated follow-ups to get anything back from the Better team, and then there were two different instances where I was given incorrect information -- essentially baited and switched. In the end, the rate was still good enough to make it "worth it" ... but barely so.
