We enjoyed the ability to hop off and on, and see some of Sevilla's beautiful sites. However, information regarding stops and scheduling changed depending on who you asked. We were told we couldn't get on at the stop nearest our apartment so we walked about a mile to the stop before - only to then see people board there during the journey. Then we were told the bus would be making that stop until 7:45pm, but when we were ending the day at 6:45pm the driver made an announcement that our stop was no longer an option and again we made the mile walk home. Not a big deal for us, but if you were with small children or elderly folks it would be an issue.
I think overall the experience was quite good. I am aware the City of Paris does not allow identification of the service on bus stops so I think a learning point is to more clearly identify the stops either on the map or a list. I ended up on a road with two stops and so missed the first bus.
We waited for a very long time (over an hour) only to be taken (out of sequence) back to the start again as the driver needed a break. We then had to queue again (albeit only for a few minutes) before another bus picked us up and we continue tour. Surely with some planning this could have been avoided. Also, we weren’t made aware (probably our oversight but it was not obvious to us) that although we paid for the City Sightseeing branded tour bus, we could have jumped on the Big Bus branded one as they are both, effectively, the same company. If we had known this it would have reduced our waiting times at a number of stops.
A good way to explore Melbourne.
Thoroughly enjoyable bus journey around the beautiful city of Edinburgh. Made us all want to come back and visit for longer. Definitely worth doing!! Money well spent!
If you are buying the PRAGUE tour, don't do it with this company, their buses are not the usual double deckers but minivans where no more than 14-16 people can fit in! Some other companies (yellow buses have them). If you, at the end made the same mistake as us, buy the 24hr. ticket. I went to Prague in winter, they didn't put enough buses so we were waiting quite a long time for a minivan to come and then... they were full or not so many spaces available!! Not the greatest experience.
