I have left numerous requests to be contacted back. Customer service is appalling. Engineer wasn’t able to do my install on the 28th of September and I have been trying to reschedule since then it’s now been more then 2 weeks with no one contacting and no phone number to ring. I wouldn’t recommend.

8 panels, inverter and Tesla Powerwall. The sales process was very straightforward. No high pressure tactics but sales staff were clear, knowledgable and helpful. When it came to the system design, Danny was very clear about what was and what was not possible and came up with a design that took into account all my requests. He was on hand to answer my questions and his answers were clear. The installers arrived on time and worked very hard, on occasion putting in 10 hour days. The works on the roof were subcontracted but Jake and Nathan who had the tricky job of installing the panels on an ageing slate roof produced excellent work and fixed the minor issues that were not discovered until after the scaffolding was up. The electricians, Josh, Dan, Lincoln and Ben were meticulous in their work. Tidy, courteous and punctual. The quality of the installation was very high and they checked as things progressed to make sure I was happy. Needless to say, the installation looked good and worked as promised. Nothing was too much trouble. During the installation, the designer came to see how work was progressing and took ownership of the few minor issues that cropped up and these were resolved quickly and professionally. I liked the idea of having a single point of contact, Callum, who coordinated the work and was keen at every stage to help. Quality was assured by Egg’s support system. Expertise was on hand to deal with any installation questions and all work had to be photographed for assessment by their quality control personnel. The was very reassuring.

I filled in my details for a solar and battery install in on the website and was advised someone would call me - no call happened. I emailed them a week later to ask about my enquiry, and they finally called me. I put this down to them being busy. Arranged and paid for a technical survey. This went to plan, and the guy was very knowledgeable. The design came back in good time. We took some time to consider, during which time Egg contacted us a couple of times to find out if we wanted to proceed. We decided to go ahead and paid a £4k deposit. This is when communication dried up. I explained that we wanted a prospective install date as soon as possible to plan our other commitments around this. I was told that the projects team would provide this as soon as possible. I then got excuses of 'Sorry, I was unexpectedly out of the office' and 'we'll have an update at the end of the week'. It's now been three weeks since Egg last updated me, despite my emailing with increasingly concerned requests for updates. I have tried to call their main number, but there is no option to speak with anyone, and even if you know the extension number of an advisor, this just goes through to a voicemail to which messages are also not replied to. I wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but I cannot see any good reason why any company would ignore the concerned emails from a customer to a central support mailbox. I fear that any warranty on labour or product would be meaningless if the company does not have an effective customer service team to provide support. Ultimately, I feel very let down and dismayed at the prospect of continuing with the installation or pursuing a refund of my deposit.

Very disappointing support and service. My cable has been locked at one of the charging point for three days. Today is the 4th time in a year they have the same problem. Complained half a year ago but not fixed.

The company were very good on the inset whilst dealing with my appointment and the moving of that appointment through the constant delays in waiting for the car. However, on the day of installation, they were unable to install my charging point due to a building issue which isn’t their fault. Since then, which is now over a week ago, I have had absolutely no communication from them whatsoever in relation to rebooking my appointment despite numerous emails being sent. There is no telephone number to ring in order to discuss anything or to rebook. This is NOT good customer relations. Very disappointed. Update…..finally after this review, contact was made with myself and the charger has been successfully installed.

Amazingly smooth process throughout. From first contact to installation took 3 weeks. Installation was quick and easy. Been working perfectly so far (1 month) Highly recommended.

The customer service was eggscellent, emails were answered very quickly, the engineers were efficient and helpful, explaining everything clearly. Leasing the charging unit was a good way for me to charge my EV at home without a massive outlay.

AVOID!!! Shocking service. Firstly i really liked the offer and setup. The install and person who fitted it was great but sadly thats where it ends. I had a 3 month offer which they have tried to bill me for every month. Fair enough they didn’t end up taking the payment but i had to contact them every month. Have you tried to contact them? The help bot just cycles round and there is no phone service. You can not give good customer service if you don’t speak to anyone. I got a response via email in the end. The charger goes offline at night sometimes when you are trying to charge and when my tariff is cheapest! So not only is it costing me more it means im not sure if i will have enough mileage the next day. Well my 3 month offer has ended and now they have switched off my charger!!! Honestly such poor service and extremely frustrated. Just go with someone else who might be more expensive but have a customer service team.

I recently had the home EV charger installed and wanted to share my opinion here. Pros: * Very quick to approve finance plan * Choice of installation dates * Lots of communication about the installation * Excellent install on the day by a very friendly and professional electrician. No mess left and the job was completed in a few hours with minimal disruption Cons: * The price dropped by over £10/month a few days after the installation was complete which feels unfair * Although it says on the website there is a choice of tethered or untethered chargers I was not offered a choice. This didn’t bother me but may affect others Rated 4/5 because of the quality of the installation but lost a star due to the pricing

Followed the online process. Install date scheduled. Installer called the day before to confirm the 8am install today. Waited and waited and waited some more. At 09:30 I called installer to no answer. Decided to try and call Egg but they do not have contact number. So thought right, I'll email. So went to my emails and saw they had emailed me yesterday at 17:20 informing that they couldn't install. They did not even bother to call me to inform me especially with such short notice. So ended up losing £300 for a days work, waiting around for nothing. Avoid like the plague! You can't even speak to a human being!

Egg charger itself was not corduroy installed meaning it didn't connect to the Internet. Engineers sent out twice but had to get the charger removed. No app to use alongside charging either. Despite clear faults, customer service team wish to charge me £50 for the removal of the faulty charger. Cannot get in touch with customer services via telephone, terrible service on the whole. Please look for alternative chargers, there are plenty!

Excellent experience from start to finish. Order process was easy, communication was good and engineer arrived on time and carried out the installation and tidied up when finished. Very professional. Had a slight issue next day but an engineer was sent out straight away and problem sorted. Customer service also followed up to make sure everything was up and running.

Had charger for 5 months now keeps going offline. First time was told to reset the router which we don't have with this charger - instructions from Indra the provider who have an unhelpful helpline which operates only 9-5 which is a joke as most people would use the charger at night! still waiting for a call back!!! Now Egg have a Robot with instructions a bit better but not much of an after sales service when things go wrong in the night when you need a full charge overnight! was told I can press the Boost button on front of unit to use charger if it goes off line- Not the answer i was looking for to get up at 1AM press the Boost button and then get up again to turn off!!! Very Very Poor Service

Very disappointing service. Trouble with the charger when it was fitted, which took hours! The engineer was really struggling to fit the charger. I have then had trouble getting the app to work. Spoke to Bree who was very helpful. But the service telephone lines have been down for days. Which are only also operating 9-5, Monday to Friday. I’m so disappointed I want it removed after 4 weeks.

Jack and Lincoln were amazing today, above and beyond the call of duty. They had some problems and dealt with it all without getting frustrated and in the end we have our charger. Thank you to them for keeping sane.
