Mar 11,20225 star experience from EGG I can’t fault this company from start to finish! Initially there was a problem with the electrical supply as I share a mains with another household. Egg went to the right people who gave the OK for the EV charger to be fitted, it took less than 24 hours and Egg were communicating with me all the way through. Fitting day came it took the engineer 4 hours and a very neat job was done, perfect from start to finish. My Tesla is charging a treat and in a third of the time, all for £30 a month what a bargain. Seriously if you’re thinking of buying one why? For less than a cost of a takeaway and peace of mind if it breaks down well for me it’s a no brainer but if you do decide to get one fitted you are 100% in safe hands with Egg Well done Egg I can’t fault any of your service!!

Mar 11,2022All was going well, I was a little frustrated with the amount of requests for pictures of my meter however got there in the end and the installers turned up this morning at the agreed time. This is where it goes wrong, I need a tethered charger for my BMW however they only install untethered chargers, this is not made clear at the point of enquiry. Then I'm told that I'll need to pull flooring up etc.. to reach the meter which is not true as I pointed out to the installer. He then made the effort to actually look at the outside of the house where the cable can go to the meter. I was then told the cable could not run through a storm drain on my drive due to regulations which is also not true as the cable used is armoured and fine for this as quoted for by several other specialist installers. Anyway, the two installers went off to make some calls as they don't have tethered chargers and then returned a good 30 minutes later to tell me it's not possible and would be a 'custom' install and that Bree (Project Coordinator) would call me in the next few minutes to discuss options. So I receive no call from Bree and then a few hours pass and I receive and email from Bree telling me the install would cost £239 for a tethered charger and that as I needed over 20m of cable (which I don't) I'd be charged £49 for a call out. Very poor service and I will not recommend them or use them again for anything.

Feb 25,2022Really unreliable sales process. I enquired about solar panels, Tesla battery and an EV charger Jan ‘22. Had to wait a month for a virtual project engineer appointment. On the day of the appointment it was cancelled due to sickness. At least their sales lead was able to send over price details - unsure why I had to wait a month?!? Then paid £99 for a site survey. Unfortunately, no one appeared on the day, a complete no show by Egg/Phoenix Works. I’ve called repeatedly over the last week to find out what’s happened, but no one can tell me or simply offer me a new date. Friendly sales exec, but they don’t keep their promises and don’t seem in any rush to help put things right - hope I can get my money back.

Feb 02,2022Excellent installation crew who did a great job. Unfortunately the charger was too far from the hub / router so the app kept dropping out. This was resolved over the helpline very quickly who quickly diagnosed the issue and guided me to a fix. Overall it was a good experience because I was confident in the people. Would use them again and recommend them to others.

The electrician arrived on time and completed the installation quickly and made a nice job of it. The customer service throughout was excellent with regular email updates from ordering to the install.

Jan 25,2022Phoenix Works installed Trina Solar Panels, Solar Edge Inverter, Tesla Battery and a Daikin Heat Pump. Along with the Daikin I had fitted a Mixergy Hot Water Tank, radiators, Myenergi Eddi, the system works fantastic and the house maintained temperature using a third of the engery:-) All work went extremely well, all the engineers worked to a high standard.

Jan 24,2022Great range of products with excellent informed advise on suitability. A Zappi charger was chosen based on compatibility with solar panels at a later date. Careful assessment of my property and electrical installation by technical team was carried out. I liked the very good polite communication of the install co-ordinator. This was even though on scheduled install day limited operatives so had to reschedule at short notice. The install took place shortly after where the locally based installer took considerable time and effort to make the job to a very high standard. It was a cold day in January and worked continuously to complete including setting up the app. In use the charger is great, with a decent display, well protected from weather & easy to use with being tethered.

Jan 12,20225 stars for installer, but my machine is flashing purple and installer was advised by call centre that it should start moving from flashing purple to solid white, not done so yet 2 hours after installer had left. Improvements, charger should be lovable when not in use so someone doesn’t decide to get a free charge whilst I’m away, also isolation switch needs to be lockable, i would also expect not to be charged my first £30 till it stops flashing purple and I get the service I’m paying for, would also like them to have an app!
