Ordered the Star Print Pyjamas for my daughter for Christmas as she had seen them online. Unfortunately they were too small so had to return them but Elizabeth Scarlett are refusing to refund. It seems “the original plastic packaging” was missing so they are unable to re-sell them! Really?!! They were also very poor quality - the fabric was crumpled and very flimsy almost like tissue paper - definitely overpriced and not worth the £75 price tag. Hang on to your plastic packaging in case you need to return, or better still don’t bother ordering - you will find better quality in Primark.

Seems like an ongoing similar story for what is initially perceived to be a good company. I sent back the item because they were the wrong size (this was due to a PayPal error not accepting payment!), but didn't include the original plastic bag! Because of this it has cost me £75! Looking at the reviews on the quality I wish I hadn't bought them in the first place. Definitely will not be purchasing from here again! Sort it out ES - RUBBISH!

I am really surprised at the negative comments on here. This is a wonderful company that sell gorgeous products. Yes I think customer service could be quicker and more accessible. email response is a little slow there needs to be a phone number. but they are a small Company and I'm sure this will improve as they grow. The products however are just lovely. I have purchased many of their pouches, coin purses and bags and never been disappointed. The quality is exceptional the stitching and embroidery beautiful Packaging is also lovely The option for the beautuful gift boxes make this a really special gift . I love that they donate to the elephant charity. Since I discovered this company I have brought gifts for family and friends and everyone has been delighted . My daughter loves their products and now buys them for all her friends. I am not sure what's going on with all these bad reviews that is in no way my experience of this unique and lovely company.

I bought bags from them in the past and was annoyed to see they are made in China. This company makes a lot of noise about supporting elephant sanctuaries and caring about animals etc yet the country they use to make their products are the worst for buying ivory illegally cut from killed elephants and rhino horn etc used in quack medicine. I`d give zero stars if I could. You can`t pretend to support animal welfare by using China to make your goods. They have the worst animal and human rights of anywhere and still use animals for product testing. Clean up your act and then customers know you REALLY care by having your items made elsewhere other than China.

I was given the pyjamas for a Christmas present after having seen them on Instagram and thinking how beautiful they were. However, upon looking at them closer, they are no way near worth the price tag of £75! The quality of the pyjama is rubbish and cheap, the finish of them is not worth £75 as in there are loose and fraying threads everywhere… £75 should mean you are receiving a luxury hand crafted and solid pyjama but these are not like that at all. Like other users have mentioned, you can buy better quality pyjamas for a lot cheaper.

Asked for the pyjamas from my boyfriend for Christmas as my big present. They look stunning on the site but once I opened them I quickly realised the fabric is extremely cheap and low quality, full of loose threads and very thin and flimsy, would pay £10 for these based on quality, not £75 as they are being sold!! Avoid the pyjamas!! The make-up bags are better quality and embroidery is nice

I placed an order on Black Friday for 2 items for Christmas presents. I received an email the Sunday after telling me that my items had been dispatched and the tracking number. This was however false and it wasn't until the tracking still wasn't working a week later I emailed to ask if it had gotten lost, that they admitted it hadn't actually been dispatched and the email was just sent automatically. I finally receive my order- with only one item. I email again about this, and am told that they will send the missing item, but it will take up 10 days, which would have taken delivery past Christmas. As a result I cancelled it, but it took so long for them to get back it was already on its way. I immediately sent it back and it took nearly the full 2 weeks after they received it to send me my refund. I was incredibly disappointed with the quality of the item I did keep for a present, it was badly stitched and smaller than expected. Sadly I won't be buying from them again.

I have twice tried to post a fair three star review on their site which has never appeared. I couldn’t understand why no one else was mentioning that the wash bag is virtually unusable due to the too small zip opening, which barely allows you to open the bag. It seems they may be only showing the favourable five star reviews. Beautiful print and colours but really poor and frustrating design.

As others have said DO NOT be fooled by their beautiful Instagram feed. I was and am now needing to go to the hassle of returning both items as they are NOT as described. The material is cheap and poorly stitched and I believe NOT hand stitched as they claim. The wash bag arrived so creased it looks awful, the zip doesn't open fully enough to be able to really fit or see what you have inside. Not well thought out at all. The maxi pouch is ok but definitely not as nice as the Instagram filters make out. It's a shame as I love to support smaller more artisan brands however I just can't stand false advertising. It's also a nightmare to return as they don't provide a receipt/order details in the parcel so I have to do all the digging to find my order number/product numbers and fill out the whole form. Surely they can have these personally printed for each order? It feels as if all they want is to take your money without a care for the customer experience. Not looking forward to the hassle I will have waiting for my refund I expect! AVOID!

I ordered a Maxi Bag and a Make Up bag from Elizabeth Scarlett as a Christmas present for a very good friend. The two together cost £59. I was so disappointed when they arrived. The quality of the 'so called' velvet material was very poor, not like good quality velvet at all. I was so disappointed to have paid all this money for two bags made with such inferior material. I emailed Elizabeth Scarlett several times and they offered to refund my money if I sent them back but I cannot get to the post office as I am still having to self isolate. They emailed me again today but it's a bit late as I had to give the bags as a Christmas present. They asked what they could do to help and I asked for some compensation but they just replied and offered me 20% off my next purchase! I will never, ever be purchasing from this company again! Please do not waste your money on these expensive inferior bags etc. It's been a hard lesson learnt. Elizabeth Scarlett need to either use superior quality velvet or lower their prices.

Awful quality. You can find so much better quality stuff in Primark. Extremely cheap fabric, lazy stitching, and clunky zips! Don't be fooled by their instagram photos.

Poor customer service. I wish I had looked at these reviews before deciding to make my Christmas gift purchase. Their social media is also full of people pleading for replies their DMs. Not good.

The products look lovely in the pictures, but what arrived was quite different. Poorly made with ‘puckered’ stitching and horrendously creased.when I contacted them I was told to ‘steam’ them - which clearly would not resolve poor stitching. I am still in communication with them about replacing my order which they assure me will be ‘quality controlled’. Still waiting to see if they will honour their words, as replacements have not arrived. Hoping they will arrive in time for Xmas day. Wish I had ordered other gifts to be honest. Such a shame as the product looked lovely. I had to go back and forth to customer services too, to resolve this.

Horrendous service. Placed my order for 2 items on 17th Nov. Still no delivery 15th Dec after e-mails & apparently,’ a slight glitch’ but my items are now out of stock. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

These look better than they actually are. For the price they are charging, I’d expect better lining and for the pouch to hold itself up. They’re quite flat without anything placed in them. Also when packaged up, they’ve been creased so it doesn’t even hold its flat shape well-very disappointing. Looks like my monogramming has been rushed too- on one of the items it appears a little bent. I have also had delivery issues.I ordered on 29th November and have only just received my items today. At the point of ordering the estimated delivery time was 3-5 working days. The team were slow in replying to messages as they apparently only have a small team and each time I responded they needed my order number which I’d provided at the very outset. Totally understand small businesses being less able to manage Christmas demand but they appear to continue advertising when they clearly can’t cope. I think I’d have been ok with the delay if the items were great but they simply aren’t. Wish I’d saved myself £135.

I didn't see these reviews until after placing my order so was a little nervous, but I needn't have been. My order arrived within the time promised and I found customer service to be helpful in giving me an update on the order status. I am so pleased with the products and i know my daughter will be very happy with her makeup bag. I will be purchasing again for birthday gifts next year.

Placed my £115 order last Tuesday. Was a little nervous after I subsequently saw the reviews on here! However, package arrived this morning. Items are all lovely. I ordered a day bag, a large pouch, several of the velvet shoppers a coin purse and two gift boxes. Great deal with the current promotions. Not sure I would pay full price but very happy with the deal I got. Items arrived beautifully packaged in their individual dust bags. I think the company are struggling to keep up with the level of orders they are receiving currently but I can’t complain with the delivery time I experienced. I am very pleased with my order. Products are lovely for gifts, especially if you invest in the gift boxes to put them in. But with the dust bags they come in, they are still a lovely gift.

Ordered on 30th November and just received my order today 16th December. I was all ready to send it straight back for a refund, after several emails back and forth to the company with unsatisfactory results. However, on opening my parcel I was completely swayed from my negative opinion by the quality and beauty of the products I had ordered. Good products. Poor delivery time. But I hope that is just a result of the Christmas rush, and any future orders would be delivered promptly.
