Everything went to plan apart from after installation of upgraded system, my EV charger now goes into safety mode instead of charging the car. Cannot get in touch with anyone technical to speak to.
I have ESE panels since Nov.2024.I had to request for my annual check (which was promised on instillation).John ,One of ESE gentleman came to review and told that i need an engg. to visit and sort out my system.He talked with lady called Lona and she told him she knows about problems in my system and she will email me but nothing has happened since
The technician was on time, introduced himself, with a warm and friendly smile. He completed the checks, returned the loft ladder and discussed the storage options. He is a credit to the company.
My system was installed 2 years ago and has been working well. A month ago one of the batteries stopped charging and has a red light indicating a fault. I have been exchanging emails with the technical department ever since, up to 24 so far when a 10 minute conversation would have been far more time efficient for all. We just go round in circles with the same information and photos repeatedly sent by me, yesterday I was sent irrelevant videos to do with WiFi. There is no issue with WiFi, the Lux app works perfectly. The battery itself is telling me there is a fault. I have been passed on to another person when I said I was going to submit a negative reviews who never bothered to read the previous emails. It seems ESE will do everything to delay sending an engineer in person and by constantly delaying hope you will give up and go away. As many of the other negative reviews indicate I also have a yearly maintenance package which includes an Annual health check, unlimited call outs, parts and labour on all repairs, unlimited telephone and technical support and cover for lost generation due to a fault. Needless to say I have never had an annual health check even though I've asked. Update 17.4.25 following my negative review I had a phone call to arrange an engineer visit. He immediately established my battery was faulty and took it away. He advised me to request a brand new battery replacement or my own repaired and not to accept a used one. It took about 2 weeks for another appointment to be arranged. The same engineer returned with a new battery and my system is back working correctly now. No compensation for loss of the battery storage facility while I was waiting 2 months.
A quick and easy process to extend the warranty on my solar system. The staff are very helpful and pleasant, and guided me through the process without any problems at all.

The engineers argued in time and introduced themselves. The identified the instillation cleared the area to gain easier access. They fitted the storage battery tidied up the area and asked if I wandered to replace everything back in the pantry. I advised that I would binthat as it gave me an opportunity to sort things out and throw away any rubbish that I had accumulated. They set up the system on my smart phone left me with an institution booklet and grantee.
The engineers had rescheduled the visit and arrived as per the amended time and date. The quickly did their checks and seemed very efficient and reported no faults.
We found the whole process from first contact enquiry to installation was very good. Our only criticism would be that the surveyor gave us an indication of where the panels would be placed and more of them (18 rather than 14), than the initial proposal. But when the installer arrived he had not seen the surveyor's report. He did however work out a much better way of siting the 18 panels. It meant the work overran into a third day (10 days later).

I have been dealing with ESE on behalf of my brother-in-law since August when I realised there was a fault with his panels. They came out to inspect them and said there was a fault with the inverter, they would have to return with a new one. Despite repeated phone calls the inverter was not replaced until late December/early January, at which point they tested the system and said 5 of the panels were not working. I again had to chase to get a return appointment which was scheduled for 22nd January 2025, this was cancelled at last minute because the van had been broken into. I again had to chase to get a new appointment and this was scheduled for 11th February. When they arrived they said they needed scaffolding to do the repair, this had not been mentioned before, but the workmen said they had informed the office when they initially reported the fault. I did not hear from them again and had to ring on 24th February to see when the scaffolding was being fitted and when they would be returning to do the repair. I was then informed that they do not supply the scaffolding, and that was down to the customer. I told them I thought this was ridiculous as how could they expect to provide a service for panels on a roof without providing the scaffolding and that we had not been made aware of this previously. Marcus said he would check with the managers and get back to me by the end of the day. He didn't and when I rang today he was not available and they were still maintaining that we needed to provide the scaffolding. When I asked for a copy of the document which showed this clause they referred me to the website. I then asked for a copy to be emailed to me, at time of writing I have not received this. I have now looked at the website and I cannot find this information anywhere. This delay is costing money. We do not know how long the panels have been not been working, but do know it is now at least 6 months, and ESE don't seem to care

Given how much we pay each month I am always surprised how quick the visit is.
Since 7.1.25, 4 of ese group team have given me excellent service. Brian Thompson and one on the 24th Jan that I don't know the name of. Both visits to my house. One a yearly check the second fitted another battery. Both were polite friendly, answered my questions and efficient and tidy in there work. Laura Green and Marcus Lightfoot provided me with information that I needed to pass on to my provider. All done in a pleasant manner. Thank you.
The member of staff who came to inspect my solar system was very thorough and told me everything was fine

Mar 05,2025The Technician was thorough, and gave us a detailed report, he. Gave us information regarding batteries which would improve our system which said we may consider for next year he was on time and was very polite.
