Good service and we are pleased with the panels.
The person who came showed his ID card without being asked, was polite and explained what the different numbers meant on the panel. He said we were getting a good output and he showed how I could check it.
The company was very helpful and informative.
Very good service end very good quality
The representative for the company, Mark, was knowledgable, polite and I was comfortable to invite him into my home
Excellent communication and friendly on site visit. Polite, informative and never pushy but they do inform you of all available upgrades and services.
Hi, very professional company to deal with, phoned ahead of appointment and came on time, neat and tidy workmanship
The service engineer called on time and reviewed our installation in a timely and efficient manner, explaining options for us to enhance our solar panel effectiveness without being "pushy" (which has not always been the case in the past). Good job.
I want to advise you all about this company (ESE SOLAR) who installed a £10.5k, full 14 panel PV system at my property last year. The installation engineers supplied and fitted cabling and connectors that should never have been used for this purpose. The cable did not comply with the current regulations BS7671 which means it should have been a specific cable double insulated for the installation….which it WAS NOT. They genuinely didn’t have a clue that they fitted a potential death trap, which rings massive alarm bells in my ears. What has now been subsequently classified by the Solar Governing Body as “ in the event of a fault the SWA armouring becomes an extraneous-conductive-part” (this means LIVE DC VOLTAGE), further comments from independent Professional Solar Engineers classify it as “Potentially Life Threatening”. For ESE installation engineers to fit such a system is inexcusable given that anyone completing this task has to be fully certified and up to date with all electrical legislation, specifications and requirements. (DUTY OF CARE.) Even more surprising was that ESE issued certification to suggest it was compliant with Electrical Regulations and Building Regulations which of course it is NOT. They even put panels on a plastic roof which is a fire risk! It has taken ESE 11 months now and they still haven’t resolved this issue and my family and I can’t use our garden for fear of the cabling danger. ESE despite all their wonderful web site, have no interest in replying to your correspondence, resolving matters appertaining to significant departures in their quality of workmanship and the installation of electrical equipment manufacturers instructions and indeed lastly but most importantly, the safety of its customers. I have written them countless emails and recorded letters to which I’ve had hardly any replied too. We are now taking legal action and reporting them to the Health and Safety Executive. Read their reply below if they dare, and see what they say about their negligence, normally there is complete radio silence from them but I’m sure they won’t resist this time, in fact they’ll probably reply faster to this public comment than they have to any of my letters, requesting them to replace the faulty workmanship and materials and reimburse us financially for a year of sheer hell, during which they totally ignored us for the greater part. I hope everyone else’s installation does not suffer the same electrical disaster as mine! But the mind boggles STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
Great comms and service absolutely recommend
Overall positive experience Installed on time without any issues. Communication could have been a bit sharper Had to message a couple of times for update on paperwork System working well.
The representative was on time and happy to explain the problem and fix it so the system now works perfectly
I was very happy with the work that has been done and the work men cleaned up after them self's and i would recommend this compeney to anyone who wonts work done with them thank you
As I said to the two engineers that came to fix my problem I like that I can access the company ESE Solar and talk to someone if I have a problem and they will then follow up on it and resolve it. They came when they said they would and explained what needed to be done and did it. Sorted!
When the surveyor found a problem with the system during the service, an engineer was booked and problem solved.
We had a 2nd storage battery installed. The salesman was informative but not pushy and the engineer who came out to install the battery was on time, efficient and pleasant.
When the rep came round we had a good chat about what I was looking for and came to an agreement. We agreed a package and was told I would be hooked up to feedback to the grid straight away as they sort it all. What they didn’t say is can export but they don’t provide the required electrical certificate for companies to accept you. When I went to my supplier they said without the certificate it costs £250 to apply, therefore unable to do this as spent the funds on the system. Also beware about the miss information provided in relation to the carbon offsetting device which they show you reduces the cost of the system and therefore makes the package more appealing than other installers. The document “GUARANTEES 10p per KWh the system produces” this is separate to SEG. However when I log into the system after a couple of months. It’s tells me I have 242kwh so my simple math is £24.2 however this is converted to points only giving a payment of £15.45. The panels on my system where not also installed in the postions agreed and more were placed on one side than should have been.. Customer service post installation have been less than helpful and I have avoided writing a review in the hope they would come back to me but weeks later I am still chasing a response.
Installers arrived on time - were very clean and efficient and pleasant to deal with. Very happy with everything. Thank you.
I went with ESE solar because of their maintenance plan. I've been with them for a year now and I'm extremely pleased with the service and installation that I got. They recently came out to check on my system and it went seamlessly. It gives me extra comfort to know that people are checking on the system after I've bought it and that it's all working as it should be. Ferrell so not too pushy with buying new products but offer the service if you wish. I would highly recommend people getting solar panels from this company. Also, the maintenance plan is with the product so if you move house the person you are selling it to will continue to get yearly servicing the solar panels they've bought off you.

Mar 19,2025Angela was very courteous explaining the maintenance renewal options & fully understood & complies with my request for BACVS payment rather than online card. The previous maintenance contract provided a prompt & effortless failed meter replacement with days of reporting the problem. Looking forward to another 10 years support from ESE!
