Blown away! Ordered a Tomahawk & 32 day aged steak, arrived on time in a styrofoam box, which had ice in to keep the meet cool for days. My father in law will be reusing the box for his fishing trips. The meat was gorgeous and filled the family nicely, we’ll definitely be ordering again soon
Posting this review a few months after the event as I was giving customer service a chance to refund me. Ordered our turkey and trimmings for xmas day to arrive on Christmas Eve. On the day of delivery I was informed that the turkey was much smaller than I’d ordered and they would refund me just £15 of my order value. This in itself took months but the fact they could let me down at such short notice on xmas eve and think this is an appropriate way to deal with customers is beyond me. They must have known the problem before the day but were happy to leave it to the last moment. My calm and organised xmas eve with family was cancelled as I headed out to the shops, spent much more than my original delivery on pork and ended up cooking 2 meats and meals to accommodate everyone. I was finally offered a 20% discount off future purchases - there’s absolutely no chance I would ever use them again. Costly, disappointing service which tells me they clearly don’t care about customers
Delivery is not great! I live in a flat ...delivery guy rang my buzzer i opened the main entrance door and explained I was level three and there was a lift ...he ignored my request and dropped the box in the entrance porch! I'm house bound so the meat will be sitting there until my husband returns from work late this evening!
My first order will be my last. Fillet Steak Barrel was very tough. Steak and Ale Pies rock hard pastry and rather salty gravy with not much meat. Chicken Kiev not only did it look a mess but it was awful - hardly any garlic butter in the middle and the breadcrumbs did not crisp and it was a sloppy mess on the plate. The bacon was okay but it should be at the price we paid. The delivery was on time and the parcel well packaged. I am going back to Marks and Spencer for far better quality and much cheaper.
Meat arrived well packaged and looking fresh. All look good quality and looking forward to trying it!
Always had a great experience with them and I have ordered a lot over the years.
Used to love farmisons, but I don't feel like i'm buying better meat now - the lamb breast is 95% fat - I know it's a fatty cut - however other budgets have a much more generous meat to fat ratio at half the cost. My main gripe is the muttonmince had lots of bits of bone in it - luckily we eat ours before we fed our 1 year old it as that could have been dangerous.
We have had two orders so far from Farmison & Co and both have been absolutely fantasic. One was a whole leg of lamb and the other was their beef wellington valentines meal. The valentines meal was like having a michillin star meal at home, the lamb leg was very tasty. We love that the website provides cooking instructions and the leaflet sent with your order has receipe ideas. Our orders have always been delivered on time and very well packaged. We would definitely recommend and will be ordering again.
We had some good experiences of ordering meat (lamb and sausages) from Farmison, so we decided to order some goose breasts for Xmas 2022. To say that the goose breasts had the texture of shoe leather would be a kindness. They were much worse than that and they had very little flavour. In Farmison's defence, when I complained they (eventually) gave me a refund, but that did not compensate for the hassle and embarrassment involved when serving sub-standard meat to my guests. The lumps of goose left on the side of the plates spoke for themselves. AVOID at all costs!!
Just finished the 5th meal using meat from Farmison & Co and can honestly say its all been flawless. Lamp rump, beef steaks (flat iron, rump and bavette) and chorizo have all been fantastic. I can be a bit on the fussy side with meat but there's never been a scrap left. Deliveries have always been accurate and are packed so well. Thanks very much, I'll be back 😊
Disappointed in my Christmas order, some items missing but no reason given. The stuffed chicken crown was bland and only tasted the stuffing. I have used Farmison for years but no more l have removed myself from their emails. Better meat elsewhere
Ok - I am editing this to 3 stars, first for the reply asking me to contact you but 5 stars go to customer service, especially Rachel. When I called and explained what happened, I felt heard but I also knew they were disappointed! I'm going to try again and fingers crossed that I can update it to 5 stars. All I can say if anyone reads this review, Farmisson do care about their customers. Thanks Rachel once again :)
Not sure what delivery problems they had before Christmas but can only comment on my experience. Delivered on time, staff were helpful and friendly and the meat was some of the best i have had in a long time. Bacon tasted like it used to years ago and the sirloin's flavour was exceptional, all in all i was very pleased and will use again.
Delivered a day later than ordered, so missed the event I ordered the food for. Having been to the local butcher to buy the meat I needed, Farmison then delivered the original order 24 hours later leaving me having paid twice. No refund or compensation offered so I am £50 out of pocket. Needless to say I will not be using them again. Appalling customer service.
We ordered 4 items from Farmison.com. So far we have only tried 2 ….. The Nidderdale sausages were virtually tasteless and the steak and kidney suet puddings did not contain even a trace of a piece of kidney or the flavour of one, they might as well have called it a pulled beef pie as there were no chunks of beef in the pudding. In addition the puddings did not include any cooking instructions in the packaging so had to spend extra time hunting down their instructions via a web search. Using the search box on their direct site page came up with no results so goodness knows where these are hidden. The instructions are incomplete as they do not specify whether to cook from frozen or that they needed to be defrosted first or not. Following best to bake recommendation and cooked from frozen the suet turned out more like a very crispy pastry. We shall have to see how we fare with the other two items.
Would give zero stars if I could... This is the 4th order I've placed and paid the additional £5.95 for delivery before 12:00. Three of them arrived after 20:00 (all marked as next day delivery NOT expedited delivery), the last one arrived a day late (30/12) after I'd left for a New Year break. Spoilt by the time I got home so it went in the bin. Contacted 'Customer Services' (yeah right!) got a holding email - sorry but we're sooo busy (dealing with complaints I suspect) then nothing. Then I get an email about them scaling the business and would I like to invest - they've got to be joking! I'll never use Farmison again and I've encouraged my network to avoid them too.
Good customer service - resolved an issue promptly & professionally . Meat delivered was good quality (although expensive) Only real complaint would be DPD who left an order on our front door step in full view of the street - we were in and the courier did not ring the doorbell , despite the instructions stating to do so.
I haven't received the ordered products from Farmison on a agreed day without any explanation or notification. Instead I received an eMail from delivery company (DPD) saying that my parcel is on its way back to Farmison & Co. I phoned F&C useless Customer Service and was told that I would be called back by an Account team. After two days no one did. I sent them an eMail but received an answer that they were so busy and would write me back in 48 hours. As I had enough I sent them another one requesting to cancel the all thing and make a refund. Unfortunately this isn't the first time that happened to me. Exactly the same thing took place with my previous F&C order few month ago. But it won't any more. This is a story how Farmison & Co lost a customer.
I ordered a ham for Christmas and what arrived bore absolutely no resemblance to the ham that was advertised or like any ham I had ever seen. I emailed farmison about it and this is the response I received. Due to the nature of our business dealing with these beautiful free roaming animals there is minimal if any intervention with them whilst they are out roaming the two parks in North Yorkshire and foraging freely. This therefore means that each animal is different in growth and development and it sounds as though there may have been an inconsistency with this particular animal. Inconsistant animals!!!!! Think I'll be using someone else in future!

Apr 10,2023order arrived only partially complete. an email enquiry to them re missing items said the company had gone into administration. Be warned, I believer the website is still taking orders, don't waste your money.
