Service? What service? Food ordered for 30th December, jolly email from Farmison to say it had shipped on the 29th. To cut a very long story short, nothing has been delivered as of 7th January, and we’ve had no responses to emails other than a holding “gosh, we’re overwhelmed” statement, which means that we have absolutely no idea when we’ll get our money back. NOT an issue with DPD, seeing as they happily delivered an order from another company on time on the 30th. As other have said, there are now plenty of competitors to Farmison, including one who responded to a packing error by answering the day it was brought to their attention, arranging a delivery of the missing item for as soon as was feasible over the festive period, and including an extra item in the delivery by way of apology. So. Go elsewhere, as we will be doing.

I purchased a wing rib of beef for our Christmas meal. The beef had much more fat than was a ) necessary and b ) ( more importantly ) than the product shown on the website ( I would attach photos to show you but the facility is not available on Trustpilot ) Some crude maths .. on the website the fat thickness is just over 20% of the thickness of the product at the widest part of the rib. On the product I received at the same point the fat represents about a third of the thickness ie over 50% more fat than advertised. I wrote to Farminson to complain about this. They did not want to enter into any dialogue about the amount of fat on the meat sent relative to the product displayed. They involved the butchery department who informed me that a ) beef comes with fat b ) the fat is known as a fat cap and c ) the meat would cook beautifully . I knew all of this already but they did not want to discuss the actual quantity of red meat that I received. As a " gesture of goodwill " I received a voucher for 25% of the cost of the meat. I appreciate this but I was not after a gesture .. I was seeking recognition that the meat sent was substantially different from the product advertised. If you pride yourself as an online butcher you should send meat that is similar to the meat advertised or if substantially worse sell it at a lower price. I will not buy from Farminson again and as a sign of good faith I will not use the voucher that Farminson sent me as a gesture of goodwill.

We ordered fillet steak and a gammon for Christmas. Fillet was 4/5. Gammon was 0/5 - the toughest joint we have had in 30 years of cooking this for Christmas Eve. I emailed them on 26th December regarding the gammon - received a holding response after 1 week and nothing since. So 1 star overall, following a deduction for the most appalling customer service.

Please add this to the growing list of others who were let down with Christmas deliveries and paid a premium price for the privilege. Running around on Christmas Eve to find a centre piece for our main meal wasn’t fun. Customer service was non existent until today (5/1/23) and have done nothing to make me feel any less bitter. On a more positive note, on-line retailers like this are the boost that our High Streets need.

I ordered Christmas meat in September and paid extra for guaranteed delivery on 23rd December. My order failed to arrive as agreed. I contacted customer services to request cancellation and a refund as I was travelling to relatives on Christmas Eve and wouldn’t be able to take delivery. The order arrived with my neighbour on Christmas Eve and sat in their porch until 28th December, when we arrived home. I have had no response to my numerous emails and no refund. I’m absolutely livid, they caused us so much stress on Christmas Eve trying to source another meat for Christmas Day. I should not have been put in this position and I’m really angry that I have. I have also tried several times to leave a review on their website but strangely, no “verification” email arrives so they don’t publish. Strange that…. I would advise to avoid at all cost…it’s not worth the hassle. Update: customer services have now been back in touch, have apologised and agreed a full refund.

Had the same issues as numerous others with an order for Christmas 2022. We ordered a Porchetta ordered for Christmas Eve. It was apparently dispatched by Farmison on 19th Dec for delivery on our chosen day of 20th, but we then heard nothing further whatsoever despite the 20th passing with no delivery. There were numerous unanswered telephone calls, emails, WhatsApp and Facebook messages, all at point where time is already at a premium. We did eventually receive a response on the 23rd which confirmed that the item could no longer be delivered as it had been with DPD for too long. There was an offer to send a replacement item, but given the inability to fulfil the original order then we had no faith the replacement would arrive in time for Christmas Eve. Instead we did what we should have done in the first place and went to the local butcher. Whilst the quality of the products might or might not be good, the company is utterly let down by its woeful customer service. I highly doubt that anybody would have contacted me to advise that the original order wasn’t arriving if I hadn’t chased them, and it was then almost impossible to get hold of anyone to rectify the issue. Unless Farmison seriously invests in its customer service department (and also sorts out its courier problems) then these widespread problems are only going to continue.

We ordered goose legs a few months in advance so we were pretty stressed when, on 21st December, we received only 2 of the 8 legs we ordered. It was very disappointing to have no response to phone calls and only get through to automated messages after waiting for nearly an hour. Luckily, Jodie responded to our Facebook message and made sure the rest of our order was delivered next day. Thank you, Jodie. Importantly, the meat was excellent. Just about a 4 out of 5 stars.

Made a Christmas order well in advance , full payment taken on submission of order, order promised for Christmas Eve and £10 extra paid for delivery before 12.pm. Only part of the order arrived on the 24th (£80 ham, with use by date of the 26th)Turkey crown missing, frantic calls made to be informed Turkey would most likely not arrive as issue with Courier ( DPD). Confirmation by email at 2.30pm on Christmas Eve that said Turkey would not arrive, Christmas meal 10 ruined, promised refund still not been paid, deal with this company at your peril!

Great quality food, delivered on time and chilled. The 1 star reviews due to postal strikes are unfair. This is my first order and I will be ordering again.

Food ordered for 29th Dec advised despatched 28th but DPD did not deliver and tracking now says 31st.Tried ringing but no answer.Bought from them a lot but never again,From reviews before this has become a car crash company

I have been a loyal customer of Farmison for a long time now, but I doubt if I will use them again. Year on year, the quality has slipped, whether it's the joints of meat or their customer service. At Christmas time especially, they never seem to get it quite right, and it's impossible to speak to anybody to get it rectified. I suspect they would say that they are the victims of their own success, but that in itself is not a reason for poor quality control or customer service. When Farmison came on the scene there weren't many competitors around, but now there are quite a few companies out there with just as good a product but also prepared to go that extra mile for their customers. Unless Farmison pull their socks up, and soon, they might just find people have gone elsewhere.

Disappointing experience. I've ordered dry-aged pork joint last Christmas and the meat cut was excellent. This year the piece of meat I received for Christmas was tiny, nothing like the cut I received the previous year. I was about to cook it and when I opened the pack, the smell was so overpowering, it made me gag. I knew it was not fresh and I could not cook and serve this for my guests. Had to go and queue for my local butchers on December 24th, hoping I can get a replacement pork joint. The one from Farmison went in the bin. I also did not receive a response from their Customer service. Will never order again.

I had ordered expensive vegetarian lattice pies for veggie guests but received vegetarian stuffing instead (less than half the price). I held on the phone for 45 minutes to try to speak to Farmison, in the hope of getting the correct order, but no answer. No response to customer service email now five days later. Also I had ordered £80 of goose breasts, which I cooked exactly according the recipe online at Farmison. The meat was had a strange taste - threw it all away. Everyone took one bite and pushed it aside, and two people said they thought it was off. Fortunately I had cooked a back-up chicken from somewhere else. I had previously bought a whole goose from Farmison for christmas and it was good, so not sure what went wrong here. Sad that even on December 28th I haven't heard from customer service about the mistake in the delivered order. I am sure things are really hard with bird flu etc, and I am sorry for them, but I will not risk this again. It made for a very stressful Christmas, as I had to cook the vegetarian options from scratch when I had very little time, and it was sad to see people pushing the goose aside. I wish Farmison all the best and hope that they can get back on track.

We orderedwhatwasdescribedasPeking Duck. What arrived was a half duck that after cooking was very tasty, tender and enjoyable. However it was not a Peking Duck. Call it what you wish but not Peking Duck. Can we trust other descriptions?

The balon of turkey was just a tad tiny but quite good as was the rest of the food, except for the pigs in blankets! The were way 2 salty,! I took 1 mouthful and that was it! Bin time

my first order confirmed for delivery 15th Dec never arrived. Wasted three days as dpd showed it would be delivered each day and at 8pm each time dpd widgit showed no delivery. Very frustrating as time wasted Managed via email and calls to customer care at farmison ato organise a replacement order for delivery promised absolutely for 20th december. Guess what - more nonsense. This time had named driver delivery slot timing and same story never arrived - apoaremtly still at depot according to dpd widget - calls if you can get througj after extensive waiting to farmison customer care are unproductive full of excuses re dpd doing their best.. Lol if non delivery is their best begs what is their worse!!!! . If such logistical problems are ongoing( see other reviews) why are farmison not arranging alternate delivery suppliers or not taking clients money and halting online orders. Strangely have received other dpd orders over this period and had no other problems with online orders from other delivery companies. This was THE worse online experience ive had - i hope the refund process is more efficient and professionally handled than the chaos of the failed order and replacement. They need to get their act together fast as an online business cant just blame their delivery service its down to farmison to have a variety of logistic suppliers as alternates. Very poor - trust is comprimised.

Have sent 7 emails with NO REPLY OVER 2 DAYS re NO COOKING INSTRUCTIONS SENT WITH PREPARED FOOD ITEM. Call Waiting Time reached 45 FORTY FIVE 45 Minutes (with no reply) AVOID THIS FIRM

Much the same as other Christmas reviews.Christmas did not arrive despite ordering at the beginning of November. Poor communication,maybe the crowd funding request,should be used to improve customer service.A terrible experience.
