After a recent issue with one of our linked smoke alarms, Alan at FireAngel confirmed that the alarm would need replaced and promptly dispatched a new one under warranty. Thanks for your help Alan.

Amazing customer service. I phoned for advice but was told the alarm would be replaced as it was still under warranty. I wasn’t expecting this as it was included in my caravan when I bought it. Nikita was clearly spoken and patient with an elderly customer who couldn’t remember their postcode! A++ from me.

This is a criticism of Fireangel’s processes, rather than their customer service staff who were polite and helpful. I just didn’t feel there was any urgency from the company, especially considering the lifesaving products they sell. I had a pair of faulty SB1 alarms which keep going off despite following all the cleaning advice on their website. Fireangel didn’t dispute this, but every email reply they sent only asked for one additional piece of information, and there was a 2-3 day wait time for the next response when I sent this. This meant it took a week for me to tell them my issue, provide them with my receipt, clear up a misunderstanding over whether I was claiming for two separate products or one, then receive confirmation that they’d accepted my claim. With a seven day wait time for my replacement product to arrive, it will be two weeks since I first reported the fault. Simple things like asking for proof of purchase when you fill in the initial contact form on the website, and making sure to ask all follow up questions in the first reply would save this ‘ping pong’ approach, speed things up for everyone, and make it feel like customer service are trying to help rather than delay.

Response to the reply from Fireangel: At no point have Fireangel products been interlinked with any other brand. However, although this isn't mentioned in the Fireangel troubleshooting guide, three consecutive bleeps from the unit indicates that it has entered fault mode. This is most definitely a faulty product! Five units from two different manufacturers have been replaced so far. One lasted just over a year but Fireangel set the record at 170 hours before failure. I cannot rely on this product

After investigating my demand nikkita send me a replacement for my broken smoke alarm. Excellent service. The accompanying letter with the replacement unit was in German. They should maybe make it a multilangual document. Not everybody can read German.

I received excellent customer service from Sophie today. She was very responsive and dealt with my problem without quibble sending me new carbon monoxide alarms which had stopped working.

Poor Products and poor customer service. Bought my 10 year alarm in April when I bought my flat. The alarm started randomly going off, made sure it was clear or dirt and pollutant but still kept going off. Raised to customer services who asked for proof I had the product, sent pictures of the alarm and box. Was advised this wasn’t proof and to show receipt, it’s not normal process to keep receipts for every purchase, also would the expectation be to keep the receipt for 10 years? I advised I could find the transaction on a statement but advised it wasn’t my only purchase at B&Q. Even though I sent pictures of the product, that wasn’t proof and they just assumed I stole it.

Needed help from customer service. Spoke to Sam and Nikkita, both were really helpful and sorted stuff out very quickly in a friendly and efficient manner. Good old fashion service. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Really quick service. 10’years garanty as promised. They send a new product and confirmed this by email right after fill in contact form. Use several fire angel smoke detectors.
