I find it odd that some give very good reviews? I find this company the worst solicitors ever in all the years i have been doing conveying. If the one thing you take from this review is never use this company. It is my intention to take this company to the ombudsman has they have lost me to sale on my land. I would like to write more but think I would be taken off the internet. DISGRACEFUL COMPANY

What a waste of six weeks . Please don't use this company. I had zero contact for six weeks then I had to ring and be passed to another solicitor who was shocked that not one thing had been done on my house sale. My buyer is now contemplating pulling out of the sale

I used GD for the sale of my leasehold flat but it seemed they were way out of their depth. Had it not been for my repeated intervention, the sale would have almost certainly fallen through. Though generally quick to respond to correspondence, I became frustrated at a lack of clarity, and at times serious miscalculation of fees. I had to step in on several occasions to correct GDs misinterpretation of the lease agreement, and it became very time consuming checking all correspondence for errors. On several occasions GD simply forwarded incorrect information from the property management company to the buyers solicitors. At the end of it all, they simply ignored my complaint over the level of involvement required from me, and lack of professional value from them. I wouldn't use them again, nor recommend them for anyone buying or selling a leasehold property.

What an appalling bunch of time wasters. Wanted to simply buy the freehold for my leasehold house, original freeholder had died with no descendants years back. Clearly outlined situation, spent a couple of hours in telephone interviews detailing everything, was told it was a simple job. They made all the right promises to get commissioned and then after I had commissioned them my case was bumped to an office junior. Upshot was ultimately they then took over 6 months, seemingly doing nothing at all, and then they decided they couldn’t help me and were quitting on my case, with what appears to be be a very straight forward legal process. What’s most frustrating is that a better and more professional legal company would have done the job they promised to do, rather than wasting 6 whole months of my life and then quitting without delivering anything. Quite frankly I am appalled at this joke of an operation and the 6 months of my life they wasted getting absolutely nowhere. If I could give negative stars then they would have all -5 of them! If you need something done, by a reliable legal firm then don’t waste you life like I did with these wastrels. Now I have to start again and this time find a decent and reliable legal firm.

I used GD (Chelsea) for a house sale and the whole process was stress free. Excellent value too. However not quite the same on the purchase side...

We were a bit nervous about instructing GD Property Solicitors to act for us in selling our house, as we had never gone throuh an on line conveyancing process before. In the end the process turned out to be pretty smooth. Ahsan was very efficient and communications was always prompt. The whole process went much smoother than we thought possible considering pretty much everything was done on line. Ahsan was also available at the end of the phone if needed. I can not thank him and praise him enough. I only wish we had instructed GD Property Solicitors to also act for us in our current house purchase. We have instructed another solicitor who has not been as proactive. That's for another review but as far as GD Property Solicitors go, they will be my only choice should we ever go through this process again. Thank you Ahsan.

We switched to GD after our previous conveyors proved themselves to be entirely incompetent. We didn't have high hopes but H had changed our opinion on the profession and we are now sad we can't keep conveyancing on new houses. She kept the sale going without the need for us to chase constantly, provided feedback when there was some to provide and was understanding when we got a little needy towards the end of the sale (when we were calling a few times a week). GD's fees were also £700 less than we would have paid the cowboys that conveyanced on the sale that fell through.

Absolutely fantastic work from Daxa, she made one of the most stressful experiences in life - buying your first property - as smooth and effortless as nipping to the shop for a bar of chocolate. With all of the Covid restrictions, one would think that service levels would be reduced - if that is the case with GD Legal then their usual service must be frighteningly good. Daxa was always available on the other end of the phone, happy to help with even the most basic questions, and she was ready to complete almost a full two weeks before the rest of the chain. I would highly recommend GD Legal, and will definitely be using them next time.

Thoroughly professional company. They have twice done conveyancing on properties for me recently and I would not hesitate to use them again. Friendly staff, upfront fees, great value and smooth transactions. Highly recommend!
