Apr 18,2021I had spent a lot of time looking at these Murphy Les pauls on various sites. I wasn’t all that impressed by most of them. A lot of them were too red or two brown. The nature of a 59 is that it fades over the years due to a photo-sensitive quality in the sunburst finish so you get that gorgeous green/lemony effect but keep the flame in the maple top. Also as I live in Scotland with Covid restrictions on travel I would be buying blind as it is always best to try before buying. I had been several times on the point of just settling for one that looked ‘ok’ when I came across Guitar Village and the guitar I now own. I was totally knocked out by the extent and quality of the photographs... everything every angle of the guitar was recorded and detailed even down to the weight. And by the quality of the photos I was assured that the finish of the guitar on their website would be the finish I would be holding in my hands. So I contacted a gentleman called Chris at Guitar Village and now have the best guitar I have ever owned. All through the process up to the point of delivery I received the best possible attention and the instrument was superbly packed to avoid damage in transit. Excellent stuff and my thanks to Chris and team!

Couldn't ask for more 10/10 The online experience is good, the staff on the phone are helpful, and when we're back to normal (non-COVID measures....) then you should definitely visit the store - awesome building packed with guitars & accessories.... Personally I can't think of a better venue for a guitar store.

Apr 21,2021Ordered online, the guitar in particular was photographed so I knew which one I was getting rather than just a stock photo (this seems to be more the norm in the US but a rarity in the UK) which I received next day delivery. The instrument came well set up and ready to play out of the box after a quick tune up, most shops appear to skip this process entirely - fine if you're willing to put in a bit of extra work but not something I'd like to have to do on a brand new guitar. In my opinion, it's doing a disservice to the customer, especially new players not to check instruments before sending them out. In short, well worth giving GV a try.
